Dude, if you come along, PM me to get a park reserved for you
We have made arrangements for those that GENUINELY CANNOT walk 200meters (200 METERS ffs) to park right there
I have a list of 6 so far we are GARATEEING spots at the gates, this includes a man with one leg that velcro's his foot to the left peg

Just ride.
While I fully support all the work that has gone into organising this and I will be complying with all requests people need to be aware of a few things...
1) thousands and thousand of motorcyclists are not on KB and they think that they are going to protest by riding their bikes to parliament.
2) I am one of over 25 bikers in my orginisation, I am the only KBer of the lot of them.
3) The people I mentioned in point 2 are not at all happy with "Kiwibiker Wankers" (they have no idea that I am on KB except for 1 of them) that think they can tell everyone what to do...
What I am saying is that marshalls need to be aware that youare going to cop some attitude. That means that you are going to need AS MANY MARSHALLS AS YOU CAN FIND and preferably BIG HAIRY PEOPLE that WILL be listened too!
I would offer my services to marshall to help out unfortunately due to the nature of my work I can't.
Thanks to everyone that has put so much effort into this!
"Some people are like clouds, once they fuck off, it's a great day!"
That is the realization Str8 Jacket, everyone who will attend on the 17th is doing so as an individual choice. The protest is not under the Kiwibiker Banner. KB has ceratinly help getting the word out there but thats it. All KBers have alot to be thankful for, being a part of the best Biker site in the world, even the stirrers cant keep away.
Its like Our ride tomorow, if it weren't for KB then it probably wouldn't be happening, I will be making sure that everyone who turns up tomorrow knows exactly how we want it all to go, if anyone takes it upon themself to dissrupt the ride in any way, the mass will not be pleased. It will be a much smaller number to contend with sure, but, percentage wise, the odds are that someone wont be able to be adult for two hours.
What I am saying is that there are quite a few people out there not happy with the way the protest has been organised full stop. As many thousands are not KBers, we have no idea how many people will try and ruin it for the rest.
It was a "heads-up" based on a conversation I overheard today....
"Some people are like clouds, once they fuck off, it's a great day!"
However it is Kiwibiker volunteers that have done all the organisation
Reality is that anyone who thinks they are going to ride to "parliament" (God knows what they think "Parliament" is ") will either
a. Have to park in the Stadium
b. Or park somewhere else further away (which is fine)
c. Manage to secure one of the few places that will be available in Molesworth St (they'll have to get there pretty early, but if they do no-one will care)
d. Turn up and hang a U turn and ride away again
e. Park illegally and be towed by WCC - Note it will NOT be the marshals organising (or opposing) the towing.
Them's the choices.
Anyone who thinks they'll be able to do some sort of shit riding into the grounds or such like won't be arguing with marshals. They'll be arguing with cops. And Parliamentary security. And if it gets serious, DPS. None of whom will be interested in listening to any crap.
This is not a ride to some regional Town Hall or such like where you can get away with stuff. This is Parliament. It IS guarded by people who take things seriously.
Someone said "Well, what could they do if 6000 bikers invaded the grounds."
Answer. Open fire. Seriously. Tasers first, and dogs. But those guys are issued with guns and live ammo for a reason.
Try them, by all means. Just don't expect any of the BIKEOI organisers to back you up.

I just can't understand why so many people have their knickers in a knot. They will get to go to Parliament and make a noise. They won't have to wait for any stupid cagers or red traffic lights. If they park at the Stadium they are garenteed a park, for a gold coin donation, and be there in time, someone will even watch over their precious bike while they are there. Other people have organised all this for them, so nothing to worry about, go with the flow.
OR
They could go to Parliament some other time, on their own or with their little possie, possibly not get a park anywhere near and still have to walk 2-300 meters or more, then just stand about on the lawn pissing and moaning about parking. FFS, get a grip, it's Wellington, there is never anywhere to park.
That's fine. Messy, is when the guys in uniforms step in. Personally, I think that watching some dudes get tasered would be quite entertaining.
We WILL be making it plain to the cop-in-charge that any such messiness is nothing to do with us, and we will be totally cool with him giving his guys some taser practice.
