With a 10 second gap and a 50kmh speed difference the cops would have given up the chase 2.7 seconds earlier. If they had given up the chase 1 minute earlier as claimed then the gap would have been at least 30 seconds.
    Time to ride

Wow, that sounds way too normal a thing to say for Crazy Steve - it must be an imposter, one that will hopefully bugger off ---- or die......

A long long long time ago I was convicted for dangerous driving because i was doing 160KmH 1m behind a car on my bike, 2 up. The car was doing 80KmH, ahaaaa, hmmmmm, yep, that's dangerous says the judge. Useless lawyer didn't even raise the issue of just how long that 1m gap would last.

    Crazy Steve.
There have been cases where cops have shunted bikes. Happened to someone on this site.

But would a cop really announce to comms "I'm right up his date - I'm going to ram him - YEEEEHAHHH I've shunted him over a 50 foot cliff "

    It sounds unlikely.

And that stuff is recorded , I think, and even the Police Whitewash Authority would be hard pressed to ignore it.

I like the other one... "The man, who has been charged with reckless driving, finally came to a stop when he tried to overtake another slow moving police car, and smashed into the back of it."

But my point is... why should that be the reality? Why do so many people persecute the Police for not doing their job, and then also persecute them FOR doing their job. You cant moan about the cops not catching crooks and then moan about them chasing crooks. Seriously screwed up! I might even be growing an ulcer over this!

Don't do it ! Think of your advanced age. If you go laughing you'll fall off your chair again. You know you will. And it's a dangerous business , this falling off of chairs.

Last week I not only fell off my chair, I smashed it into pieces in the process, and ended up sprawled on the floor amidst the splintered wreckage of my chair. I would not have thought that a chair could be so throughly smashed. Took me most of last Saturday to bodge it back together.

A man of your years cannot take the risk. ACC cannot afford you to be falling off your chair.

    No laughing. OK.
