With a 10 second gap and a 50kmh speed difference the cops would have given up the chase 2.7 seconds earlier. If they had given up the chase 1 minute earlier as claimed then the gap would have been at least 30 seconds.

A long long long time ago I was convicted for dangerous driving because i was doing 160KmH 1m behind a car on my bike, 2 up. The car was doing 80KmH, ahaaaa, hmmmmm, yep, that's dangerous says the judge. Useless lawyer didn't even raise the issue of just how long that 1m gap would last.

A friend was listening via a Scanner while this chase was going on.....Apparently the Police car was right behind this rider and shunted him off the road to his DEATH !!!!!!!!!!!!

They know the situation when they sign up and go crying when reality bites. It makes me laugh and is akin to someone signing up for a job on a fishing boat and complaining about motion sickness. Or similarly someone signing on as a chef and complaining about the heat in the kitchen.

But my point is... why should that be the reality? Why do so many people persecute the Police for not doing their job, and then also persecute them FOR doing their job. You cant moan about the cops not catching crooks and then moan about them chasing crooks. Seriously screwed up! I might even be growing an ulcer over this!

Don't do it ! Think of your advanced age. If you go laughing you'll fall off your chair again. You know you will. And it's a dangerous business , this falling off of chairs.

Last week I not only fell off my chair, I smashed it into pieces in the process, and ended up sprawled on the floor amidst the splintered wreckage of my chair. I would not have thought that a chair could be so throughly smashed. Took me most of last Saturday to bodge it back together.
