The BMW GS boxer twin thread

Has anybody put one of these fender extenders on, and if yes how did you attach it? did you paint some pop rivets black and attach it with these and the double sided tape or some other arrangement. Did it stop the tar from sticking to the front cover after you got home from carving up the twisties and embarrassing road bikes

or does it get clogged with mud when your in the shit.

I have a front fender extender, but don't go off road much.

You drill 4 holes (well, mine anyway) and the screws go from the outside in. A little bit pokes through towards the tyre, but would only be a mm or two.

I wouldn't mind the front screen but apart from that not a great deal different then mine. I prefer them with things needing doing...

This weekend I was loaned a '07 R1200gs & put 500k on it.
It is truly the most awesome bit of gear I have ever thrown a leg over & re ignited the joy of road riding, that was long since thrashed out of me by an angry Aprilia.
I must own it, end of story.

I can completely relate, I got off a Ducati 888 onto an old airhead GS and discovered the same thing, and never looked back.

I'm after some 2nd hand ex cond or new rocker adjusting bolts for my R80GS. They are the ones that adjust the rockers for valve clearance. I have tried Kane but he only has super liteweight racing ones

If no joy I'll get some from UK but if you guys know anyone I can try sing out.
