Took the crosser out to check out the tracks being used for tomorrows mtb race up Codgers.

Had a look around Pippilini, Fireball, Firball, Drain, Pig, Tusk, Leash and other probably porcine related tracks.
Got lost, came upon some unicyclists. Twice. From different directions. Did I mention getting lost?

Fine to ride on the crosser for fun, but not at race pace

Good thing I don't have a race pace isn't it

Is that the firball by the IV line or the one right up the top by the trig? Both are great. I used to do the Turners (East side of Fireball saddle) struggle back up fireball road & up to the trig then do Furball & P51. I now do up jackstrack (phew) from the end of the pipeline to fireball saddle then down the new furball. & again!
The new furball by the IV has some bloody steep dropoffs over the side.

I think by IV Line. That the one with the chain ring tacked onto the sign?

    Race day!

The MTB would have been a better choice but NordieBro picked it up last night

A bit rocky and rooty but I didn't get last!

I think I was the Recreational grade.

    Won the Cyclocross section again

The Pump track is interesting on the crosser...

If Zombies grow branches or look like gorse or blackberry, I'm set

Spent an enjoyable couple of hours building a front wheel for the cyclocross bike.

    Bonus is, it's mostly round!

I was expecting something a bit more - oval...

I'd forgotten how therapeutic it is.

    Now to do a rear...

Ahhh, young padawan, you have much to learn.

Once the Dakar starts, there will be more posts coming in every press of F5 than you can read...

Cleaned up the gasket surfaces and installed the bits.
Now to wait for NordieBro to come around and check if I've done it correctly and torque and lock washer the bits up.

You can see one of the cam bearing cap rubbers has broken sometime over the years. Wonder where it went...

Dunno about this though. Looks like the kicker mech has been dodgy at some point...

The TT is back together and started 2nd kick!

    Idling smoothly and quietly.
Need a few more o-rings for the oil filter but only weeping from around there.
