heh, 1 and a half years to sift through the first batch of 300,000 (ish) before deciding not to prosecute v's 9 days to sift through the last lot 600,000 before deciding not to prosecute. Ya can't make that shit up.

Wouldn't it be great if someone leaked the threats made to coerce that statement out of the FBI.

Does anyone consider this 'quick fix' removes any doubt as to Clinton's lack of credibility ?

Have a look at this ...

    https://grondamorin.com/2016/11/04/i...nning-the-fbi/

The Justice department (i.e. the prosecution lawyers) said there is no evidence ..

    It's all a pro-Trump smear campaign.

At least read it for balance ..

It wasn't that difficult. The last time I voted in NZ I had to get in my car, drive to the polling station, wait in line, get the person to find my name on a list.....
Some states have different set ups. Generally most states have early (before election day) voting. If you are dumb enough to leave it to the last minute you deserve to be made to stand in a line out in the cold. Unfortunately a lot of Yanks like to leave shit to the last minute, you should see the lines for snow shovels at the Home Depot on the first day of snow fall...

'restrictive ID requirements designed to stop blacks, latinos, students and welfare recipients from voting make it difficult for anyone except a potential Republican voter.'
Not that restrictive. If you have a drivers license, a DMV issued photo ID ( both easily and cheaply obtained any time of the year) or a US passport you can vote for anyone they want to vote for. If you cannot get one of those government issued ID's you probably shouldn't be here in the first place let alone get to vote.

If all that doesn't put you off voting, in some states Trump supporters will stand outside voting places with guns questioning people going in. All legal and it's no good complaining to the Police because the cop is likely to be a Trump supporter too.'
Where did you get that shit from????? One of Katmans conspiracy sites...

Considering you live there you don't seem all that well informed. Then again I'm retired and have lotsa time to read. Just today the NCGOP announced that black voting is down about 10% white voting up round 20%. It seems they are pleased their voter suppression moves are working. And of course they gave the exact figures but 10 and 20% is close.

In some places there have been queues around the block during the early voting period. Then there was the three hours it took to process voters after closing time.
It would seem early voting has been popular in at least some places.

There have been several reports in recent months of drivers licence copies being very difficult to obtain, particularly if the holder has moved towns. Also if a woman has a licence in her maiden name and has since married she will not be allowed to vote unless her voter registration is also in her maiden name. For maybe a couple of years now there has been ongoing coverage of all the changes introduced in Republican controlled states since the Supreme Court relaxed the laws. The changes were not designed to make voting easier.

Trump has frequently requested his supporters to attend voting places to "supervise voting to prevent fraud". Nobody thinks he was talking about them supervising polling plces in predominantly white areas. Several days ago there was a news item, including photo, of a white guy with a pistol standing outside the entrance to a voting place handing out pro Trump voting material. People complained but the officials said as long as he stayed at least forty feet from the entrance he was legally entitled to be there with his piece. How many others will answer Trumps call we'll know in a day or so.

Your experience voting in NZ seems as unusual as in the US. I have two polling places in easy walking distance and I have never had to wait more than a minute or two.
Literally. Sure, you used to stand for a few seconds while your name was crossed off the list but you now receive an ID in the mail and you just hand that over in exchange for a ballot paper. And it's on a Saturday, not a working day which seems much more sensible.

No, I don't read the conspiracy sites. Although I confess I did watch some of Yokel's links before I put him on "ignore". I watched FOX for some months but found it laughable. I then followed MSNBC for a while, they were just as biased as FOX but in the other direction. I guess they cancell each other out. I regularly read The Washington Post and The Guardian but others on an occasional basis. Looking at the coverage in the US media I have wondered how the Hell people there were supposed to inform themselves. I saw a comment this morning to the effect that history will not be kind to the news media given the predominantly sub-standard reporting of this election. Of course that'll be too late.

Congratulations on performing your civic duty.

Credibility? What has that got to do with this two douche race? She is a more believable option than the other guy and she is an embarrasment!

When you scrounge around you will find a lot of stats, anecdotes and he said she said, most of which is not and can not be substantiated. I am pretty sure there will be those that for some reason cannot vote and will blame everyone but themselves. Folks have had up to 4 years to register to vote and it is not hard to do. If some left it to now to register or check their registration and found an issue then too fucking bad.

    Trump is a stooge.

Trump is a real life 'Crusty the clown' - he took on the stooge role - to make the slimy Clinton appear palatable.

Trump has only been a 'character player' since he went bust & Wall Street took over his failed businesses,
they then keeping him on as a 'Colonel Sanders' - in the idealized brash public face of American 'success'..

Meanwhile the 1%ers got on with screwing the rest of us poor dumb saps over..

I believe there are two versions of the cover - the other has DT on it.

    My gut says 'shopped:

Magazine is curved, the gold bands at the top are curved, yet the 'Madam President' looks eerily straight. A quick check with the ol' mousecrometer shows the the difference between the top of the first M in Madam and the Gold band to be different to the same distance of the last M in Madam (which one would expect to be uniform)

Not 100% sure though - I never got into the whole digital image manipulation thing.
