Funny thing about politicians. They are aware that we are all potentially subject to surveillance but that's fine with them. The only time they get upset is when they find out they themselves have been the subject of it. Or in Trump's case, he just thinks he is 'cause he saw it on cable TV.

Shit yes...I'm old enough to remember party lines and how you got used to everything being overheard. Actually, I'd be flattered someone was interested enough to bother....

You'd have to think that every politician in the world has come to terms with the probability of being listened to all the time - and got used to it.

I tend to agree with Husa - Either Trump is making noise to distract or he's just simply an ignorant nutjob. Could of course be both...

Quite true in my case - and i'm too old to be embarrassed by anything i may have done in my youth, LOL...

In your case i suspect that the cash jobs off the shop books, and worry about the IRD, may be at the root of your paranoia.

Well it's a bit before my time, but NZ had that in 1953 during the waterfront dispute. The National Government made possession of a Gestetner machine an offence. (For the young people a Gestetner was a machine that permitted multiple prints from a master copy. ) The only permitted view was intended to be the official Government view.

Hard to imagine the government pulling a stroke like that now that every home has a printer. Doesn't meant they wouldn't like to try?

Y'know, the one thing that's become obvious since everyone was allowed the freedom to express their opinions and afforded the means to do so easily is that very few of them are actually worth the effort.
