I certainly read claims that they had clear directives. What was missing was proof that these were directly at the behest of either Trump. Proof that if it existed, I have no doubt would be front and centre of every Left-Wing Rag from now until the Rapture.

Remembering also that the Article made it quite clear that the Government wanted a high profile case to make an example out of to get everyone else to comply - yet, they settled.

That tells me that the evidence they had to convict Fred was flimsy and hearsay at best.
