I didn't say he had been charged, he had the possibility of charges hanging over him this morning. The Justice Department did not press ahead with their charges but the charges have not vanished they are still "hanging". New evidence could kick start them.
The Ethics Committee would have options including throwing him out of Congress, or more likely, forwarding their evidence to the Justice Department for prosecution. Whatever Gaetz found out, it was enough to make him leave Congress immediately. We could know more about that soon, the report is apparently due next week. If the Committee doesn't release their report now that Gaetz is gone at least the unreacted court documents should become available.
I don't understand your question about sex with minors. The girl at the centre of the trafficking charge was 17 at the time which in the US is underage. How old the students were that he paid I have no idea. His leaving Congress in precipitate fashion might have saved him from the Ethics Committee and if he is confirmed AG he can make it all go away.
Now some of these events are apparently the subject of a defamation case but that's new to me whereas this other stuff has been simmering slowly for years.

The way this is worded, "multiple charges of sex with underage girls" implies there is more than one "charge", when there are no charges at all, not even any 'hanging' over him. Like I say, the guy could be the biggest scum bag walking the face of the planet, but the wording implies something that is not reality it would seem. The trafficking charge is different to accusations of underage sex. And accusations do not mean charges are hanging over someone. If the guy is guilty then lock him up. But so far all we have is accusations.

I saw a youtube video last year some time with a senior republican (not McCarthy) saying gates on numerous occasions tried showing him photos of naked young girls gates claimed to have had sex with. This is close to the bloody line and possibly illegal in the US - is this type of guy (when taking into consideration he to my mind at least is clearly enjoying some 2 tier justice immunity in that other matter) the type of man that should be holding such a position in the US justice system?
Personally I do not have a problem with trumps other picks thus far. But the gates one is abhorrent.
I would wager that any idiot being so keen to boast of these types of exploits has a full range of skeletons in the closet just waiting to be found. In other words, the perfect guy for trump to have in that position. gates will never say no to anything trump asks him.

There is a lot of Framing there... I dont agree with him on a number of things - however, I do believe he has a genuine interest in Americas health.
For example - he is critical of highly processed foods, does that have an impact on a Nations health, Maybe.
He is critical of Pharmaceutical companies (even someone who marvels at the wonders of modern medicine would not be remiss of having one keen eye on said industry).
Worst case scenario - I don't think the US can get any more unhealthy.
Best case scenario - The US gets healthier.
I do, however, find it hilarious that a former Democrat, from one of the most famous Democrat dynasties is now getting the Smear treatment because he is working with Trump.
