Motorcyclist just got hurt/killed somewhere over that way this morning.

just a note to those who may be panicing a bit. The manawatu riders canned the loop ride this morning. None of us went that way. Few went all different directions and will hopefully hook up for the ride south tomorrow.

Dunno if I've improved. But forcing myself to take a year off should help put things in perspective. Only time will tell how I fare, currently I've really lost interest in road riding.

It probably won't win you friends or anything, but hat off to you for saying so! Didn't know the people involved, but every time somebody speaks, or writes about the incident, it's like they were taken before their time through no fault of anybody's etc. The first time somebody told me about it my first thought was 'well somebody fucked up' ............ No disrespect to family or friends, but......................

Well Titanium tried to tell me 'speed' was the only factor involved in the accident....not sure how that is the case since it was a head on??? I think maybe other factors were also at play here...such as excessive speed and closely followed by "oh fuck..."

kawasaki green sports bike,..doing about 150ks passing cars on corners.only saw him for a few seconds.. but the way he was riding ..looks like a temporary NZr.

having known Bruce for a long time and ridden with him on many occasions he would have to rate as one of the worst riders I have ever known, he was crashing all the time, he was always in trouble with the cops and lastly he died riding and killed DSS3 by doing a dumshite wheelie into a corner.
I know as I was there watching him Knee on the ground and exiting on one wheel ..................... good rider NAH!
