Well go and take it to another thread. this one is about organised rides on a Sunday or a longer ride with the same people on a different day not the pros and cons of some road.
Good bye.
With all due respect, I don't think you know why Death_Inc. posted that. Without getting into it and starting up a KB shitfight/stirring up painful memories, everyone agrees that all roads deserve respect and can be dangerous; DI is just pointing out that this particular stretch of road deserves a lot of attention (from everyone IMHO) and wants everyone back safe and sound. It's just a friendly "heads up." :)

Hi Tania,
shall we ride down to the Autobahn together? I'll be leaving around 7.45 from Glendene. Is the Shell at Te Atatu North open at 8am? Could see you there, maybe Glen too. Cheers, lance
Hi lance
I probably won't make it to autobahn for breakfast....tis a little bit early for me, So i'll probably leave home bout 8.15 so i'm there in time for a 9am departure:-)
Looking forward to a good ride:-)

It's just a friendly "heads up." :)
Thanks, that's exactly it. Boris, you can take it as you will, but I'm just offering a 'heads up' for those that are going. I (and others I'm sure) don't want to see another rip thread from a coro loop ride.
I'll say no more and leave you to organise it. Have a good ride :scooter:

Your thoughts are appreciated DEATH and noted. This is a dangerous road and we treat it with respect don't worry, partly why we noted in original message that this won't be a race and that riders are expected to take responsibility for their safety.
the roads that are the most fun are often the ones that need respect.
I thank you fir reminding those on here to come along and bring an attitude of enjoyment tempered with respect for the dangers of our sport.

Now you just need to get the front wheel of the deck, and do the devil horns with your left hand at the same time ;) It is a very cool shot though (I mentioned it in another thread).

Good call for the westies, Lance.. I'l meet you there as well.. or we could meet at the Rosebank/Patiki rd service station on that corner (where we meet for the Paeroa races)??? I'm guessing that Emil would join as well and maybe a couple others.
Is 8am ok with you (at the Rosebank/Patiki S/Stn)? I'm flexible.

Looking forward to it myself. If you don't know what we are talking about or what you are going to be doing on Friday, take a look at Coro Loop for Easter (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/96387-Regular-weekend-rides?p=1130033735#post1130033735)

This is one of the most moronic inventions. Every other day of the week and weekend 109kph is perfectly safe, suddenly it becomes unsafe. Oh, sorry I thought this was the rant thread :violin:

From the Coroglen website.
The Tavern will be open each day this Easter.
Friday and Sunday we can only be open for diners, so you must order food before you can purchase alcohol. You have two hours after ordering your food before you must leave the premises (this is a police requirement).
On Friday and Sunday, we can only supply beverages to on-premise diners. Our Off-licence (Coroglen Liquor) will be closed.
The kitchen will do take-away orders, you can phone in advance of your pick-up. Allow plenty of time as the kitchen will be busy.
This year, ANZAC day falls on Easter Monday. This means that we must open at 1 pm on Monday.
Our Easter hours will be:
Friday 11am - midnight for diners only
Saturday 11am - midnight
Sunday 11am - midnight for diners only
Monday 1pm - 8pm (or until 1 am if we are busy !)
Coroglen Liquor (off-licence) closed all day Friday and Sunday, and Monday morning until 1pm.

Not to be a stick in the mud and all that, but as he is not here to discuss this in person or give his permission for the discussion perhaps we should keep our conversation to other things.
fnk_Loose is here and happy and the authority for his accident. The other rider is not, so perhaps as per forum rules on this thing lets keep it off the public lists we've already seen the facts twisted and just imagine the fun that could be had by an investigator qouting our mate Katman ranting without the facts.
I'm sure all our questions will be answered through more private means in time :innocent:

Also took my daughter out for the afternoon to pick up a new battery and visit her nanna so score some more brownie points with the missus. So it kind of worked out in the end.

Go on do it. Dirtbike makes a good clothes rack fior the leathers over summer, then the track bike can be the clothes rack for the MX gear over winter. It's a win win situation.

I really need to be back by about 2pm at the latest on Sunday so guess it will be a shorter ride for me at least.

The 4th is a controlled testing day. They are sort of run at your own risk, been out a number of times to do some testing.
They tend to have no marshalls, no bails out and usually just a normal ambulance in attendance (as opposed to the life support ambulance).
Gary is pretty laid back so you get all sorts on the track with you and there is no real control over how they ride or the state of their kit particularly. Have your wits about you as you will get all sorts of lines and speeds, especially through those corners.
The cars go out separately so no real problem there except in the latter part of the day as they pile up the marbles, although do treat the first few laps in each session with caution as there is no one to raise an oil flag or even notice.
Generally I run the day to finish early and don't go crazy as there really is no one there to pick you up except other riders and even getting noticed that you have offed might take a short while if your not lucky.
They are cheap and cheerful and a good place to sort out a rebuilt track bike or such like, which is what they are designed for... testing :innocent:
You'll be right and have a lot of fun, just treat it with appropriate caution.

+1 to that. Depending on the number of riders we use either the pointer system where the rider immediately behind the leader stops and waits for the designated tail end charlie at each turn point, or the charge and wait where everybody waits at each turn off. The important thing is to ride your own ride. If the person in front of you is going faster than you are confident with, then don't try to keep up. Conversely, feel free to pass them if you want to go a bit faster :innocent:

Hi Guys,
I'll be in Auckland this weekend, working on this project. (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/141419-ATTN-Waikato-Auckland-and-Bay-of-Plenty-riders.?p=1130139176#post1130139176) I'll try and make it out to where you're meeting in the morning - I don't have a bike at the moment so I can't tag along unfortunately.
Cheers,
Mike

For the fantastic Guys and Girls who helped me on the 22nd April, they picked up my bike and continued to pick me up for the next 4 months... One can pay back the loan of gold, but one dies forever in debt to those who are kind you know who you are .
To All the Auckland Regular Weekend Riders I wish you all well and may you have many safe and incident free Sundays in the future.
Sadly reporting my riding days are over but just wanted to thank you all for the many great rides and the amazing company I was lucky enough to be part of over the last 3 years.
Take care all & thank you
Best regards Conrad

As Boris points out, your still a little stuck with us  so expect the summer invites.
All the best to Dawn and the family.

I'm interested in attending... not this weekend but next, weather permitting!
I've only been on a few rides (commute daily from West Auckland to CBD) but have taken the roads around Maratei, down to Kawakawa and Miranda before doing the loop from Kopu to Whangamata (OMG how good) and then down around to Paeroa (awesome road again).
Looking forward to joining some ride outs

As per the first post we ride on Sunday's, but there has not been much of a turn out with the crap weather then ART last week.
If you are out on Sunday drop by as, unless the weather turns crap, I will be there.
