well it's not perfect but it'll do for now, also sorted the non-locking problem with the cap...and baby bike gets a tool tube too. Result!

Good work Sewing skillz are very useful when setting up your ADVing kit.
Now make sure you work on the bike a few times only using those tools, then you'll know that you've got all the right bits in there.

Made my tool tube now need a tool roll?
What did you make your one from????

it was made out of some some scrap upholstery grade material, it's not really rigid enough though, so thinking of sewing some denier or plastic type stuff on the back.

it was about 24cm wide from memory (with the ends folded in and sewn) and about 45cm long

Folded a small towel in half and sewed some lines to make pockets.
Goes into the tube nicely and quietly.

Oh, also an idea to put some foam at the end of the tube otherwise the vibration will make the tools punch through the roll.

well that was good exercise pushing my Honda AX1 the last k home. It's making a baaad grinding noise in the chain area.
