Thanks for a great ride last night, I learned heaps especially in that rain! It's great to hang around people who know a lot more about bikes than I do, even despite certain embarrassing mistakes!

I'm in my garage fighting evil carburettor juju. My bike/ecological disaster on wheels is running a little rich: the last two tanks I only got 110 km out of. Not a bad effort for a 250. Now it's in bits in my garage, and I've spent the last 20 minutes crawling all over the floor to find the worlds tiniest o-ring.

Now that we have longer evenings, the amount of learner riders attending the NASS night will rapidly increase over the coming months. I've seen a huge jump in the amount of people wanting to get their learners (and thats only from me!) so there will be another swarm of L-platers on the road this summer.

Plan on coming out for a pootle this Wednesday (yes, I'm actually home). May bring along a student to introduce to the NASS, so you better introduce yourselves and be nice to her. :laugh:

Richard and Mark gave an informative coverage of riding in windy conditions, riding in the wet and avoiding shiny bits on the road.

Hey all, loving the pink facial hair on this thread - already know im gonna love it here...

I am looking for a group of bikers to meet up with and ride but im still n00b so i was told to turn and head to the 'NASS' thread - here i am ;)

I ride a Hyo GT250R - point me when and where to sign up and i'll be there!

Dude just rock up to the shell station between 6-7. We leave at 7 to head over to Albany mega center to do some practising e.g. emergency breaking, counter steering etc. 830 ish head to the pub.:woohoo:
If you want some of the hyo brother hood advise. fizbin would be the man to talk to (he rides a tl1000 now). Watch out if you are bald he likes slapping bald heads. I get that treatment most rides:bash:

no no hint, i just taught i can do a small contibution and since I was able then had to be done. It was good. there were some conclusive decisions made. There will be regional protests against the acc levvys. there also be a national protest in front of the government on 17th of november when the MPs get back from their break.

So a wellington ride appears to be on the horizon :)

Hi guys, i've just moved into town (Hobson st. to be exact) so my internet has been cut. I'm sitting in a cafe at the moment sipping a latte.

I'm guessing this is on tonight, what time does it normally finish? I don't finish work in town till just gone 7pm but thought I would come along and meet a few people. :wavey:

Come to the car park at 7:30pm then in Albany. Runs for about an hour.

After that you can go home or to Bar Africa with everyone else.

If the weather is nice, and noone shows up at 7.30pm, dont' be disheartened....wait a bit longer...everyone may be taking the long way down...

But there normally is a couple of other folk who go straight to the carpark.

I doubt I'd be there by 7:30, it's gonna be more like 8ish I guess.

I sometimes have to work late (finishing sometime after 7pm) end time really depends on what is happening at the time.

If I'm really late I'll just head to the pub to say hi.

Aaaaactually, I just finished a past exam and got pretty much everything right. I'll do another one and I probably will end up showing up, seeing as the weather is so nice.

What is the 'long way down' by the way?
