Seems like it's not unpossible for you to have got the wrong size.

Well I contacted Ricor today and they just told me to bring my bike down to the shop. When I got down there I explained what I did and how I installed the valves they decided just to take my forks apart on the spot! ( I did everyting correct by the way)

What we found was that for some odd reason I got a set of valves for a 41mm fork and not ones for the Wee. They installed a new set for me on the spot and were very gracious etc... The difference between the stock fork and the one with the valves is night and day different! The bike has much less dive under braking. I can hardly wait to go on a trip!

Gonna put the benelli springs back in this week, although the interminatorators are bloody good i still think the front end is a wee bit soft.
Question, how much difference does oil level make to fork feel/handling?

I'll take them out & get them checked at a garagey thing. I don't think the swapsy thing on Sat would've told much - with the big screen & fairing it'd feel like a goldwing anyway. I'd have to put the small enduro lite on.

Question, how much difference does oil level make to fork feel/handling?

Affects mid-stroke to full compression (ie bottoming) the most. The trapped volume of air acts as a progressive spring. My DR-Z250 and the Trophy both benefited from increased oil height (the latter also had uprated Ohlins springs).

Many tuners suggest starting at the recommended height, then going up by 5mL per side until you are happy with it. Just add it via a measuring syringe through the fork caps, and go for another test ride. If you go too far and the mid-stroke becomes harsh, reverse the process with a length of hose on the syringe.


Padmei, it would be good to have Woodman's beastie back-to-back. And he'd make a good test pilot, being most familiar with the bike and having experienced the difference directly.

Although they have made a noticeable difference to my beasty, they haven't turned what is an inadequate front end into a super dooper flash handling thingy.I still find the limits regularly, but unless I retro fit some drz or kxf forks on ........ where do you stop and like you said on Saturday night, what would we get to replace our klrs?

2 sets of vibranators just turned up (for WR and SX)
and jammed under them was a little IAS rear shock
and jammed under that was a set of complimentary bar end weights (which work with the vibranators)

Finally got my Vibranators!

Installed them!

They've changed the freq of the vibes but they're still very much there.

I have to bend my hand guards to get the to bolt up and I think it's slightly twisting the bolt inside the bars and the Vibranator is touching the bars and defeating the porpoise.

It'll be a mission getting them off though...
I may have to cut my handlebars up to get them out!
