Halswell garage would have been a shorter distance ?

Great ride - "The zero bomber seems to not like spitfires on its tail" sorry Melvie about smashing ya headlight, second time pelted a trumpie with a stone off the back wheel on a WNR - slowed him down good though coming back over the hill with the green racer only having low beam :D

Great ride last night! I even went abit further than most, decided to keep going and went to Akaroa. Thought I might as well since it was the last of the ride of the season, a few stunned faces when I got back and said where I had been!!

Photos will be put up later, my other computer is playing up (can't get the internet to work!)

Peeteey, would you please give me a copy of the photos you took last night?? Thanks!

As a few others have said, whats happening about a Wed maintenance night??

Hard case seeing you cross kilmore fitz - we took gebbies back

Just as well you road sedate from gebbies to little river :D Could have been nasty on the summit :shit:

Pretty serious look on the face in the photo:( hope the cbr is OK, you certainly seem to be loving it.

Nice pics KP and peetey, I feel a new avatar coming on.

Awesome night for a ride, even if it ended up a bit scattered. Great ride over chasing HOT on the DR, played tail gunner for the L platers on the way home for a while until it was time to turn off to head home over gebbies, lovely night for a ride around the bays and back over dyers.

Hey guys, just want to say a big thanks to everyone for the awesome season of "official" wednesday night rides.

I haven't been around as much this year to lead and organise, the man bringing me down and 1 or 2 bike issues, plus lets face it, the wether was pretty shit.

I guess wednesday night maintenance evenings will probably start up sometime soon so we call all keep in touch and gas bag. etc

See you all 29th of september.

I've been able to indulge in a lot of my many vices thanks to you, bikes, gadgets, videography, photography and talking crap to name a few :innocent: and am now a fully fledged addict to them all!

Peeteey, I second what everyone says about the photos you've taken, bloody awesome! I think you'll need to help me with my camera sometime!

It's been great taking photos around people who are just as passionate about bikes as I am, means I don't piss them off quite as much as most other people :)

Congrats to Helen and Buddha and other KBer's down at the Methven street race, put on a good show. Looked bit dangerous when they laced one straight with shingle or whatever the country boys and gals used, mate said should be using cement mix. Never been to a motorsport event where there was so many accidents :shit: Hope the dude on the DR with two broken arms and head injuries :gob: is ok, he was getting along so well too on such a heavy bike.

Shame about ya brake failing Buddha early in the day, not confident inspiring for the other motard races on the card.

Anyone hear who won the supermotard event and what they were piloting ?

Seen an accident just up from Rakaia Gorge on the way home, Repsol replica in the ditch and the 70 year old rider clasping his chest

Does anyone know of an electronics nut (or student) the kind that is into building all sorts of gadgets out of components cause do I have an offer.

I am going to quit all of the components I have, there is a large selection of passive components, some TTL's, and CMOS components, LED's, LED 8 segment displays and transistors.

I simply don't have the enthusiasm for electronics any more and having worked at DSE when they actually sold this kind of product I built up a decent stock, in fact one would say I spent far to much of my wages on this stuff.

My preference is for this to go to someone who can use it and uses it as a hobby or for study (as in a student) but I will give it to a technician if there is one that is interested, or it goes in the bin come next week.

You need to be able to collect it, there will be no storage draws, and I will not sort stuff out, but if you are interested just get in touch and come around and collect the lot.

Johnny - be interested if it's otherwise due for the bin - and if it's really time-sensitive then no issue with collecting now and then splitting with grusomhat later later... PM me if that's OK.

Ahhh... the old 250s. Had an XT250 (god, laughing my head off seeing them on the Bond movie the other sat) and then an XL250RC - the nice one, with 4 valves RFVC but only the one carb... only problem was they really needed synthetic oils before they were around, that one was running the OH cam direct in the head and starting to lose it at 70k, sad cause it wasn't bad with road rear rubber - with the condition of some of the roads now (and probably getting worse with the new RTF-bought rules for 54 tonne truck limits) the dual-purpose is probably going to become nigh-on required soon.

Hey - I've got no issue with just acting as collector and having a pick-over session for whoever's interested - just be a damn shame to see stuff in the bin, already too many people now have no idea what goes on in all these sealed units and just chuck them for lack of a 5c part - and hands-on is about the only way to really learn.

To all you WNRers who are interested, Flip and I are looking at running a ride on Saturdays, weather permitting. It will follow the tried and trusted WNR format.

We are looking at a 10am start, from BK Moorehouse, and pottering off somewhere for lunch in the WNR fashion.

All those who wish to join us will be very welcome, newer riders most welcome.

Any queries please phone me 366 5593.
