Thats cool because none of us want you there anyway and the only ones riding like fuckwits was you lot (so take a hint)

you should have voiced your opinion if it was so strong, we though we were welcome by the way you acted.
whats wrong, dont like being passed on the outside?

Yeah with you there man.

really? i thought we rode ok, and you said nothing to us

I hate to sound like a net nanny but;

There were no deaths and no broken bones, beyond that I would rather we don't talk about the what happened on here. The people concerned have a right to the first voice on the matter, or the right to keep it to themselves if they so wish.

why not?
it did happen after all

and this is the same fate all group rides comes to in Hamilton ...

you post a group ride online, and have people turn up that you don't want there .... wish I was in Manawatu for their rides .. people actually like each other :eek5:

I doubt I will be joining in with you lot again, as it was quite obvious I was "an odd ball" a "fifth wheel" ... or some such .. who knows

I'm not beyond riding to the Manawatu to ride with a group that rides well together .. its happened before, and will probably happen again :D

I may have also been involved in the inaugural South Auckland Thursday Night Ride :2thumbsup

I seem to remember being instrumental in the Hamilton Wednesday Night Ride, until it suffered the same fate .. it seems those days are gone ... I never see Road Rash, Deeknow, 2 Wheel madness, bnonn, Smoky any more :(

On the upside, Warr is healing, and has a replacement bike lined up, so I may have a riding buddy back soon.

But the Hornet is not shy of being solo on the road

dude, try being one of us.
friday nights was always all welcome-i made sure it stayed that way.
giz us a txt if ya want to ride, you know us all anyhow, and we dont get hung up on how others ride

Amen :)

Amen to the mormon few

Dude, you have gone out of your way to be a pain in the ass in here and constantly made the point of calling us noobs and telling us how we ride to slow.. wtf did you expect? a medal?

With regard to the incident today its their right to talk about it first instead of it becoming some nattering soap opera in here. Blithering on about it in here is pointless.

oh an koz. if you are looking to get stone guard before you buy any talk to pro film on grey street. they did sides of my tank and under my grips, top of my side fairing where my knees rub for 60buks with warrenty. so doing quite a bit of the bike shouldnt be too expensive. maybe the same price as the DIY kit.

Ham East mate, as Munta said (you should read ;)) Grey street. Just by the lights after you come of Bridge St bridge (I think that's what it's called).

$60 seems bloody good actually. Might look at that. Not to rub it in, but Spaz, maybe you should look at that too ;) it's never too late for protection.

Did you want to get a working bee together so we can go around to all the roads you've been on and pick the rubber back up? You should be able to get 2-3 mm's back I reckon :)

I already have the Pure covered. Groish is pushing it. It'll mean less room for the Bud, V, red bull, Amstel, Leffe, Hoegarden and Summit :) Roonies haven't been in the fridge for a while so may look at that when it starts to empty again.

Carver, I have never seen you ride but the only reason people get upset on here (and I am getting sick of all this carry on) is that you constantly rub in about getting your "knee down" and "most bins wins" and we really aren't into that. We don't care how people ride when they are out with us, fast, slow, knee down or not, so long as they don't make others feel uncomfortable or do anything dangerous.

How about you ride like you want and let us ride how we want WITHOUT giving us shit about it just because we are learners or the like.

I think you misunderstood what was said here too. I don't think it was meant we don't want you on the road, rather, we don't want you on a thread where we all get on, have fun, support each other as people don't want to hear your constant garbage of again... knee down, most bins wins, noobs etc.

This is a public forum, we ride on public roads and a pub is short for "public bar" which began as an area to water horses, the "bar" part came from where the horses were tied up, some time passed and people thought "why not serve the people beverages as well" then a roof was added to stave off the sun and walls to protect the place from wind and everyone was happy; the horses were hydrated and the people were pissed.

You are free to ride where ever you like and go to pubs when you want, no one in this group cares what you do on your time, we just don't like you constantly acting all elite and throwing bullshit at us.

Jabbering on and on like this only has one purpose; to antagonize people  go pull the wings off of flies or something and leave us to have our laxed out rides.

There are plenty of groups that go out and ride quickly you will have allot more fun with them, what is the point of hanging about and annoying us?

The route and ride on Sunday was great (apart from the little spill). Never been on the Waihi to Whangamata road before or surprisingly enough the Paeroa gorge. Great weather apart from going over the Kaimai's and a pity some decided not to ride due to the possible bad weather.

Some of the ride was excellent learning road and Trina thought it was a great, apart from getting a bit scared on the waihi-whangamata road and thanks all the real LOR group riders for the support and confidence they gave her throughout the ride (without telling her she had to get her knee down).

She really appreciates riding with you guys and girls and the feeling of belonging to a group that cares about slower riders and learners and doesn't go off and do the "first there wins and is the biggest and best philosophy" rides.

See Murray doesn't want much. His keg is worth the same as half a dozen Bud's :)

It's just what I want though, a bunch of guys drinking fancy beer, pissed.

To me what would be better is a bunch of girls, fancy spirits and shots, pissed...and me :D (and bubble bath...that shit tickles).

I can do photoshop as well (and all the other adobe design crap). I'd probably do a better job since it would be done on a "designers" computer ;)

Chateau-to-Plateau is this Sunday. Check out the KB calendar, apparently you can turn up at 10am (costs $35 - it is a fundraiser). It would be a big day. Some people do it in 7 hours. But this ride is much more cruisy, there is even a police escort some of the way :Police:

If you change the airflow on the in or the out, there's a good chance you will have to change the other side. Allot of people don't do this but you run the risk of running too hot (lean) or too cold (over-fueling)

overfueling is bad because your bike wont run right but lean means that the firing it too hot and you can do serious damage.

Best idea is to get advice from a place like speed-tech or get the specific air-flow of the new system and compare it to the old (if its possible)

Yeah agree with Koz that you need to talk a shop. I know some manufacturers offer some slip-ons that don't need retuning (hence the name). A lot of slip-ons are pretty much only for the noise and not any HP gains. Full system you definitely need retuning because it alters everything.

BTW, anyone here a builder, concrete layer or bobcat driver? Wanting to get the garage done and want the floor down so I can do the rest. Thought I'd check here in case I can throw some money to someone in the group. PM me if you can help and I'll let you know what I'm after.

I can suggest Hamilton motorcycles as they are the local Kawasaki dealer, good crew heaps of info etc....

Back home now from one hell of a journey.. are you guys & girlies still running on sundays??

Have had mixed results with hamilton motorcycles front of shop but their parts dept are really good, never dealt with their workshop guys.

I take my bike to speedtech because they are good mates and they know what they are doing - not saying others don't know.

It would be good to see you come along on a wednesday dude, we have a great group.

I know what you mean tho, you could walk in there with thounsands of dollars of cash hanging out your pocket and they will just walk right past you

I've found their parts and survice dept to be pretty sweet ay

Big Bikes on grasslands place are the best place for workshop I've found. Good prices and survice :)

 you are a salespersons worst nightmare, nice one!

Its really weird that they would act this way... i would have thought there was commission on sales of bikes. Possibly the BMW effect?

Anyways, every time i have gone in for parts they have been awesome, the chick who normally does the parts (cat?) was real helpful and straight up with costs and delivery dates and they weren't late!

Yeah it is Kat. Apparently a crazy chick (dunno who told me that) but bloody switched on. After today I'll be able to say if their service dept. is good or not. The dude seems bloody good so all going well. Don't really want to take my bike to the shore for every service.

I think i have heard good things about their service dept, talked to a couple of their guys and they seemed fairly spot on.
