Motowhere can be tricky with that - when it jumps to other roads, I erase the points and then click only a very small distance at a time. Helps, but not foolproof. If you were to enlarge the map I posted you would see a fuckup towards the end that I couldn't be bothered fixing...

The pics I took were from my phone; I wouldn't know how you'd upload them directly from your phone.

Unless the pictures you take are saved on micro SD and then you connected the micro SD to computer. You could upload directly that way.

If you have a internet enabled phone you'll have no prob. Of course it'll cost you. Depends what phone you have. I have a recent Sony Ericsson I once I take photos I can then go to a website and follow the normal procedure to upload. Would be an asshole with such a small screen but it can be done on the recent phones.

Cheap phones probably wouldn't be able to do it.

Personally it would be much easier and cheaper to plug your phone into your computer, transfer the photo, then upload it. This, again, depends on what phone you have.

After collecting the old tag at Whangamata I decided that I just had to carry on round the "Loop" The road is in not too bad condition with bugger all roadworks.A brand new Tyre on the front of the bandit,453 kilometer round trip and the end result was a massive smile on the dodgy ol gits dial.:cool::cool::cool:
Ok so I decided to drop again up that way and here it is. Have fun going to get it. The crazy old loon is soooooo right.....the ride to get the tag will be reward in itself....especially if you decide to carry on round.

The Coromandel fire Station was tagged to day by yours truely along with Kerry ( kb SF1), Nigel (Sorrelboy) and Dennis (Greenman)
I am not going to give any clues as to the where abouts of the new tag, now safely back in the Tron, other than to say have a look at Murray's profile page. According to the information posted there the new tag is his location.
As you will see on this tag you have a bonus of Kerry's smiling face.
If you can collect Murray's smiling face as well as the tag I will shout you a beer one Wednesday evening :2thumbsup

Hmmm, funny I knew someone who used to work there when I was living in Auckland - I had no idea the place was in the neighbourhood! Amazing how places like this have been allowed to just fall apart.

Both the folks used to work there. I used to tag along on the outings they had for the kid patients when I was a wee lad as well. Went to cool places and the folks could look after my sister and I at work. It certainly made me learn quick on not judging people. All the staff say it was absolutely daft they closed it. Patients loved it there and they had heaps more freedom.

The new tag I have an vague idea because of the newness of the sign but that's my only idea.

I tried to get this for a tag way back in the winter time. Abandoned the attempt on account of soft ground - couldn't get the bike to stand up. Easier today.


Google maps has Pakoka Scenic Reserve over in the Coromandel somewhere...shouldn't be any "Kawhia" signs over there...:no:

I then left Raglan on my way to the falls and the tag. By then the light was fading rapidly and the lightening was lighting up the skys. I tuned of but about 2 kms down the road had second thoughts and turned around
As it was I collected a soaking on Collins Road. A thunderstorm in the dark isn't a lot of fun on a motorcycle.
