I am currently without a bike. I am def not walking. Was tempting to drive out and tag it just for laughs!

You may have got told off for that :shit: haha I've often thought about doing that for shits and giggles as well.

You waiting for the Boxing Day sales to get a new ride? ;)

Geezus folks, this place is turning into a waving thread so I thought I better rectify it

Original was the entrance to the Tauhei quarry on Tauhei Quarry Rd (took Einstein to figure that one)

New one, got two pics to help , continue North (North East???) from the quarry. Download for a better clue

(And yes even got the odd wave from Harleys on the ride round the loop)

Well even with the stupid traffic out and about today, it still turned out to be a good trip around the loop.

Old Tag - Ngarimu Bay, north of Thames. Had to stick the Loser plate on for a laugh

New Tag - Hopefully not too dificult to find, the camera is pointing north, just ask if more clues are needed

Happy tagging

North-East, perhaps?

Pretty sure I've located it, anyway.

Not that my health, or back tyre, or remaining holiday, or fuel budget is up to the trip :-(

Well Sunday a few of us around the Coro loop - went up the Thames coast side until we could go no further, then down and around Kopu to Whitianga, a wee incident there and we headed back down to Whangamata and back to Hamilton

It was a good ride, except for perhaps the two suicidal pukekos who almost took two of us out, then there was the mad wasp who hitched a ride between my neck and helmet strap - mind you it only stung for a little while, then I didn't notice it any more because of my sore ribs ...... from smacking into the back of a car. A daft female driver randomly decided to slam on her brakes in the middle of the road because she spotting a nice place to walk her doggie on the beach at Whitianga ........... :shit:

Oh well - the ride home was interesting, with no rear brake and bits and pieces taped up with duct tape
All a little embarrassing really

So if any one has parts for a Bandit 1200 1998 - let me know

Oh by the way - didn't get the tag while I was up there - sorry

Will think about whether to complete loop or come back same way on the day. Will depend on time etc. If I just reverse the route, there's nothing to stop you going all the way round. Distance is similar but the Thames coast isn't exactly fast...

I have a major bitch about one aspect of this...

"Shared" cycleway/footpath...

Having spent many hours walking along the "share with care" sections of the footpaths along the river, I can tell you that the "care" bit means "I don't care" if you are a cyclist. If you are on foot, watch out for maniacs on bikes because they don't give a shit about your safety. A bit like motorists and bikes really...I meanta say, there has already been one death as a result of a cyclist hitting a pedestrian and yet we still have these bloody shared paths...

A bit like motorists and bikes really...I meanta say, there has already been one death as a result of a cyclist hitting a pedestrian and yet we still have these bloody shared paths...I love flying down those river walks on the bicycle! Always gotta be aware of the walkers though.

I love flying down those river walks on the bicycle! Always gotta be aware of the walkers though.

My partner was run into by a cyclist on the river walkway just north of Fairfield bridge - knocked flat to the ground by a large (fat!) sod on a bike. He treated her as though it was her fault. Bastard was lucky I wasn't with her...

Then there was the fatality on one of the Flagstaff walkways...

It would be like the tag of slofox (i think) of the temple from an odd perspective, if you had taken from the other side of the temple and just said, same temple, TAG.

I did go over to Raglan yesterday to fly the Suzuki flag amongst the Charley Fergusons...interesting morning.

First off, many of them were heading towards Hamilton as I went out. I would have seen maybe 50 or more, usually in packs of ten or so. I got ONE wave...

I also learned, very quickly, to keep way left on my side of the road. Why? Because I encountered several using my side of the road...can't imagine why. Which just goes to show that such behaviour is not confined to lunatic sprots bike riders after all...

Got to Raglan and parked the gixxer beside the hugest H-D I'd seen. Perhaps fortunately, I did not get to see the rider - no doubt he would've pushed a Suzuki over the rolled over it on his way out...

Met a bloke who owned a CBR600RR. He questioned my sanity in bringing a Japper to such a rally. He'd left his in the shed all weekend...I told him "hell, I come over to Raglan regularly whatever happens to be on." Besides, nobody assaulted me nor me bike neither...basically everyone totally ignored me - as usual.

Plenty of chrome on display though - more shine than Macleans teeth. And lots of noise to go with it. I can imagine the more reactionary residents of the sleepy seaside hollow may have been pleased when it all ended.

Caught up to a pack of them on he way home - just at the bottom of the hill. The temptation to go blasting past the whole lot along Karakariki straight was almost overwhelming...but a little voice said "you're 60, not 16 - don't be a tit." And another voice said "don't listen to that namby pamby fuckwit - you're a long time dead. Get into it ya wuss!" By the time both voices had finished blathering on we were all at the end of the straight anyway so no go...

Overall it looked like a great weekend and everyone seemed pretty happy. I was glad I hadn't had to foot the bill for all the hardware that was on display.

Yeah. That is their rolling thunder ride. Was a pretty impressive line of bikes.
Our cat followed us down to the end of the road, once the bikes started coming she took off. We haven't seen here since. Kids are not happy about that.
Letter drop in local letter boxes, we are rural, so there is a pretty good chance she has been eaten by a local dog!

Mostly they will ignore other riders, but funnily enough, love waving to kids. Even when we were in the car later that day, if a bunch of them came past the kids waved and almost always got a wave back.

I didn't go, the whole big group thing isn't really my scene. But liked watching all the bikes go past. Plus I am an anti social git and prefer my own company or that of a few others.

No, not really
I didnt realise until after I had posted it up, it is of a different side of the church, the previous one was over a year ago. Honestly wondering if I can still be fucking bothered to get them with all the criticism.
Or perhaps just a random paddock and leave people guessing for years?????

There is a way to set it to a specific size but the others resized automatically. I have fixed that one but im sure there are a lot of others that need doing as well.

I was sure i went through and added the images to all of the tags on the map a long time ago but it appears all the early ones have gone and only the ones in the middle remain. That is the problem with an open collaboration it doesn't take much for people to ruin a few hours of solid work!

I think the best idea is for me to write a little program that generates the code required to get the images and links working correctly for the tag map.

This was a bit of a mission - first off, Gull servo was broken down so no self serve petrol available - had to get Shell instead...
Secondly, fog! Although it was patchy, there was a shitload of it round the old tag - I was lucky enough to get a look through a thinner patch of fog for the pic...my intended new tag was invisible so had to look elsewhere - still foggy as you can see.

Old Tag: Lake D - Lake Road, off Horsham Downs Road...I think you can just see the lake through the murk...
