woa , what a riding day.
Got up in the morning early , just to find that Uni lectures have been canceled for the day. Oh well tough luck TOTO says. Guess we will have to make up for the lost lecture early waking time with some riding today...
Shot off trough the ATNR twisties in albany, on to sh16 and on to port Albert to explore some long time no see roads. Checked out the view, some gravel bits, and off to wellsford for bike juice. Off to waipu for a coffee via the infamous mangawahi sweepers and the Cove road macho twisties.
Just finisheing the coffee at waipu and get a txt from Glice that he doesnt know where the meeting point for my maraitai organised ride at 1pm is...so off to north shore via mangawahi, woodcocks and sh16 again.
On with the maraitai ride at 1pm Me, Glice, Quailboy and King_rider made our way trough the gorgeous twisties. Was surprised to see how well the huge B-King of King_rider kept with us 250cc easy corner flickers :wow:
On to kaiaua for a feed and get a TXT from BANZAI that he is joining us for some more twisty fun ahead. Met him at the castle cafe on SH2 after doing Miranda, and off to hanua twity action and clevdon brans spanking new twisties to amaze the guys who never done that road before. :D After that a doing of Twilight Rd. was in order to conclude the ride with soem more awesome twisties.
Look at the watch on bp botany 0 5:30 - enough time for me to shoot back to the shore and get me wets on since clouds are coming and rain forcasted for tonight. Some interesting lane splitting and I find myself in the shore. Changed the leathers for the corduras and shot off to takanini to meet hornet master and paduans.
Great ride trough clevdon and the SATNR to enjow. some nice cruisy pace to conclude a great riding day.
At the end of it all GiJoe took us all to his house to show us some filthy biker scum bike tricks like - changing levers, riding 2 Smokers and spotless bike polishing.
All was concluded at the not so helthy but tasty BK takanini with plenty of talks about japanese motor vehicles and style of transportation on two and four wheels.
Great day riding and great company. Cheers all. Next time we gotta see those water falls:yes:

Hmm let me see, it's a loaner and the CB600F definitely isn't a loaner! I did test ride the 600 so its all sweet there.
And besides, at least you were out riding my lil'ol'hornet! Looking forward to having Big Ol'Hornet back again today ... though I think it may be due for its next service very quickly again! :pinch: :innocent:

Yes the padawans are mastering the art of the pootling, 5 minutes to work, 3 hours to get home ... I heartily approve! :niceone:
And yes, I did take the long way home after getting my Big Ol'Hornet back again today! :woohoo: Such a long 24hrs to not have it! :weep:
Caught up with Zapf and Gremlin and we had a little hornet buzz around East Auckland, had some Beijing Fried Cat and we talked the usual bollocks.
Great night ... and I came home via Whitford twisties, was going to do the Maraetai route next, but my low light came on ... Big Ol'Hornet wanted to get home and be with Betsy and Daisy :O

Well, last night Zapf and Gremlin tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I would like to do a Coro loop ... any excuse for a ride I say! A bit of dinner, the usual search for equipment and we started off for a night ride! Time around 8ish :scooter:
Somehow the journeys start was borrring ... the Te Irirangi straights  Fortunately we got to go through Kaiaua to properly kick the pootle off!
Boy, it was fun - Zapf can really move his Blackbird well and Gremlin on his Katoom was just zipping here and there around the twisties. As for me, on the Big Ol'Hornet I was more content to move at my usual pootling pace. I messed up on a left-right twisty combo and thanked the biking gods for their grace and mercy!
I've done the Coro a few times now, even at night - but that was the fastest I've been through it! Even with the long stops where Gremlin was standing like a hulk in the middle of the road and Zapf using him as a beating post the ride zipped along.
The Caltex servo guy at Thames was bemused by the antics of three slightly not all there bikers rolling up ... twice in the night! Finally got back to Auckland around 4ish via the Hunua/Bombay express and had a meal at Dennys Manukau. One round of club sandwiches and chips later, we were all back to our own homes. I kipped down quickly and the clock read 5.30am ... dawn was again breaking and I got to see another kewl sunrise early.
I think I need to go out again for another ride now! (after a nap later this arvo of course!)

Ok, route is Kaiaua, Tauranga, Rotovegas, Waitomo via Te Kuiti, Raglan and then up SH22 home!
Edit 2201 hours ... :slap: Typical, I plan for a good pootle and when I get to Kaiaua I make the mistake of checking my cellphone and I have to be back to help out the parental units  All good, I told them where I was ... and headed back via Mercer! :innocent:

Well this morning Donor and an entourage turn up and we head off to the Mt Eden bike wash. I had already washed my bike and polished it beforehand (since I only trust myself to give it the best job! :o)
Plenty of punters and dirty bikes to be done, staff running around like little hamsters in a wheel and Gremlin somehow managed to make his noobness at being a paparazzi look so professional, baseball cap, photog stance and a keen posing eye for the best shots!
I got to ride his Katoom for all of 20m and I was happy - 'cept for the fuel light being on (normal he says).
Anyhows, sausages and cans of cokes consumed I teed up with TOTO, rie, Choco and Banzai and we rode to Kaiaua, did Hunuas and back to Whitford where I took over and showed them back to the moronway.
Great day, pity we didn't do moar riding! :innocent:
EJ's at the door, so time to post!

Well what can I say ... this whole day has been solely about biking ... :sunny:
First the bikini wash, big ups to Mt Eden MC for another bike and perve fest ... then I rode out with a few of the crew I know so well to Kaiaua for chups (thanks TOTO!) then around Hunuas and back home.
Then EJ comes around to drop off lil'ol'hornet he has borrowed, as I am posting up and MSNing Gremlin about the photos from today. EJ and I work on Betsy (RZ350) a bit, he rides on her and Daisy (RZ250) and then I pillion him to Squiggles place to pick up his FXR150! :scooter:
Works a treat and we buzz off to BKs for a feed of grease, salt and sugar. Rode to town and visited X-Whatsit at work and then commenced some pootling to the St Heliers GP.
From there, EJ and I split up at City and I went to Borders and perused the magazine racks for Bike Mags .. mmm bike pr0n ... Read a good while and I pootle back up to Parnell to see if X-Whatsit can come out to play. No dice.
He's gotta work to feed the crowds from the Xmas in the park fest and earn his keep. So I pootle off home and the realisation struck me ...
I have spent the whole day doing nothing but things related to bikes.
Thank you biker gods for this day,
Thy will be done, my rides were fun
Above all keep us safe,
So we can worship thee again,
By riding our two wheels of freedom
Vouchsafe our daily motoring
And allow us to do so once more again.
Amen.

Bikini girl is hot, but actually, Rie is better looking in all her gears, and she's about 1,000,000 smarter...
I was standing in line at Subway on the Terrace (in Welly) on Friday, bloke with lid in front of me. I asked him what her rode (he said a 2fidy and my eyes started to glaze over), but then he asked if I knew Toto. Said, yes, I did, and that he was wanted in Auckland after a spate of drive bys at very high speed...

I think this case celebre, is more akin to the hypothesis that male testosterone is equivalent to dropkicking a small sack of felines to the curb when intelligence is amended to that image.
It does not behoove one to note that this is the way of the world and any censuring of such behaviour is against the grain of the way males have not evolved from their basic primal programming.
Ergo, there is much to be made in the platonic and respectful relations between two alien species which happen to be biologically compatible in terms of reproduction.
This enigma of evolution or lack of it has led to the misnomers, misogynistic and even Oedipian/Lolita pursuance of physical gratification for the short term.
Hmmm, waitaminute, guys and girls like to look at hawt guys and girls and for various reasons! Dang, forget what I scribed, go back to the usual lustfest please! :o

Can't say I get many warnings, had the first mid this year, from a couple of general duties that said they couldn't read my plate. Prior to that, I got stopped, given a ticket, and sent on my way :crybaby: No reduction in penalty, and sometimes they looked for more.
I'm trying to kick the habit of being pinged, and I don't think picking up the nice cop ladies would be a good idea, as I haven't met one so far (one scene photographer was cute tho, and said I had a good looking bike - she hadn't seen the other side).

I'd like to state for the record that zeocen actually rode a Honda, so his latent repressed true self is finally coming out ... he needs to play with helmets and apparently other honda rider helmets as well! :o  :devil2:
Actually its the most emotional I've ever seen him. He is like an idiot savant with introverted tendencies bordering on the catatonic. In private he is as friendly and talkative as can be, but out in the glare of the public eye - he clams up tighter than a choirboys behind when the vicars around!
As for MBB and his 1000th post, I daresay he has been sniffing the flowers, taking long walks by the beach and other such heretical anti-filthy biker scum activities.
His proclivity to delve into dark seminal discussions that mine the seam of humanity along Dante's Inferno is quite good. I'm thunking that he has been through a personal judgement in hades and is rolling along quite nicely with the pantheon of gods and their peculiar torments.
MBB is a tortured soul. His nadir is fast approaching with the injustice done to Scoot, his soulmate .. :sweatdrop
Ride on you unkempt diamond, ride on ...
As for rie, she is an asian biker chick ... being asian she's demented, a female, doubly so ... I for one, would not get in the way of this lady when she is charging forward, the effort she put into changing that photo speaks volumes. Thank god I'm a ninja so she can't spot me! :chase:

Aww bugger! Hopefully you can make up for it on the other side of chrissy!
And yes, most of the lads made it down to the bikini bike wash. I was still elbow deep in engine parts whilst doing the top-end rebuild on my dirtbike, so didnt make it down. Oh well, i'm sure i'll live.
We went for a little pootle out through the St Heliers GP tonight, and i introduced the crew to some new super secret twisties out that way... even secreter and twistier than some of Joe's! :shit: He claims he knew the roads but forget they were there, but i suspect i finally found some twisty roads he didnt know about :shifty: (about time, after all the secret roads he's shown us all )
We then pootled back toward town, and pulled over on the side of Tamaki drive to take a quick pic of my Hornetto rolling over 11,111.1km. The rest of the boys continued on into town for noodles, and i headed home having already eaten, and the whoile up at 5:30 for work thing
Twas a good little sedate pootle this evening, and i even made it home just before the heavens opened. Of course if i had left the wet gear at home and taken the leathers out, it would have pissed down as soon as i got off the motorway, so you can all thank me for the good weather :bleh:

And yup, he did! :pinch: Actually on the bikes it wasn't half bad! Fear is over, normal pootling resumed!
Well we saw Banzai on the way in ... and out! We went to Daikoku's Noodle eatery and talked about male guff (read :pr0n, pr0n and ... more pr0n)
By this stage Badger8 had gone off home after gleefully recording his odometer reading!
Musicman, Banzai, TOTO and I were left to discuss topics and eventually Banzai had to go as well. Leaving Musicman, TOTO and I to head to our local asian cold drink place and talk about many more amusing things.
Rained cats and dogs back and I loved every minute of it! ... Reminds me of the time when I was riding up through the Desert Rd at 3am and it was ...
All in all, a great ride - will also see what other hijinks we can get up to as well!

Yeah so after Badger left, we went to Daikoku for some ramen (noodles), and then after that we went to Blush for some Asian chicks, oops I mean Asian drinks. I just got home, and got work at 6am tomorrow (which means I gotta be up at 5... argh). There was a bit of rain but it wasn't too bad, hope everyone makes/made it home safely.

Asian girlies at Flush also didnt dissapoint but Musicman was the centre of attention there and impressed the chicks so much with his tongue...he was so good, that even the guy behind the counter asked me who my cute asian friend was.... or was he referring to GiJoe ?
fun night all round. cant wait for more asian related places next time...

Tortured, perhaps not; a deep thinker, certainly. My Soulmate and I have been reunited, the 9 am GP, fast and flowing with the occasional helium front moment. Aside from a near brush with a Merc Taxi because attention was mispent elsewhere, a happy union of soul and freedom. The depravation lead to jitters, sweats, and DT's; how can I last without a fast scoot on a daily basis, I need my fix and I need it pure.

After been yesterday to give blood at ze blood centre, got home, turned motoGp race at Japan on and fell asleep...
Woke up at 21:30 and slowly walked round, then on to MSN where GiJoe suggested a ride, so why not...
did the South Auckland night ride then on to twilight road for a small loop, then on to kawakawa bay, maraitai, st. helliersGP and off to Flush for some cold slurpies...
Was interesting going trough all the twisties in the dark and in the wet - you start wondering - "I wonder just how much grip do I have ?" - quite alot is the answer, which means that the $500 paid for top notch bridgestone tyres is well worth it.
bring on more night twisties :headbang:

Dearly beloved,
we are gathered here today, to pay our lasting respect to Goldie. While Goldie may not have lived a life of excitement, nor travelled far or wide, she had desires of greatness. Greatness to which we could all aspire. She wanted to be a big fish in a big pond, a great white of the ocean, swimming free and unhunted. But alas, it was not to be, one small leap of kitty, and today we stand above the bowl, waiting for the final flush.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, fishes to sewerage, off we flush.

Well as of last night I picked up my 1st ticket for speeding on my mayhemsickle! :o And on the blardy moronway as well :stupid:
I was riding pace with another motorsicklelist, and there the 5-0 was on the side of the road, I wasn't speeding quickly and riding merrily along, the other biker flicked off an off-ramp and I noticed a car in my rear mirror doing a shifty around and suddenly comes up behind me and on comes the disco lights.
Off to side of road, helmet off and the usual banalities commenced. The rooted thing is that he was targeting the other biker and when he got foxed by him on the off ramp switch, he just latched back onto me - and its all over bar the crying. :baby: "he was in lane 1 , you were in lane 2 etc blah" how does that make sense when the other biker was passing me on the inside?

So TOTO wakes up today with the nightmare that the white princess still has no new chain and is crying , and it actually is true, as the Christmas pressure is taking its toll on our beloved PsychoTreads store, my order for new chain and sprocket was lost in translation somewhere…:brick:
So TOTO gets a good morning message on MSN from His Royal Highness Mr. Filthy-Biker-Scum-proven-on-paper-by –a-smurf- GiJoe telling me that the other royal highness Mr. Crazy-head-E and him are doing a pootle to tauranga to meet the His Royal Highness Crowned-King-of-village-tauranga-DMNTD. Clothes were put on, the great Hooligan started, gear put on and TOTO took off to meet the other swarmers in a piss-off-the-neighbours-dog-by –his-loud-exhaust kinda way.
Nice pootling took place via Clevdon, kawakawa bay, maraitai, Miranda, kopu, paeroa, kharangahape gorge. Stopped at Paeroa where EJ was attacked by a red camo ninja – see photos …
Gorge was beautiful with light traffic, out three heroes made their way to the city of roadworks - Tauranga. Met King DMNTD, talks and sat on many a bike, and drooled over Ducatios and Trimumphs. :Punk:
Decided its luch time as the pootlers were hungry and after EJ taking a bow to King DMNTD :not: we set off to the maori church (KFC), where we established that EJ is Koreak only on the outside and inside he has a strong Maori heard with lots of Mana.
Mr. Filthy Biker Scum (GiJoe) then lead us on to the meach of Mt. Mougli for an Ice cram , where TOTO with his incompetence and bloody-foreighner charm did something to the ice-cream shop and turned the Fire Alarm of the whole shopping complex and the big apartment building on top. So all three filthy bikers walked on opposite side of the street to wait for the Fire brigade and watch the show of all panicked people running away thinking there is a real fire somewhere… :killingme
Imaginary fire was put down by real firefighters, while the three hornet swarmers were enjoying an ice-cream on the shade and watching the show…
Off we pootled back, going trough some amazing sweepers – what was the name of those I forgot (GiJoe?) – and then some other roads and found ourselves in mr . GiJoes Crib to relax and talk more bikes.
EJ braved his fear of The Hooligan and had a go…pulls over a minute later and with a huge smile informs me that “…You know, id doesn’t feel as fast as my FXR…”
Decided that cold drinks were in order after a nice day pootling and off to Bluch for Ice cold shushies and perving over half naked asian waitresses

My zx10 was terrible, using up consumables in half the time (or less) compared to a hornet 900, and the hornet was more fun. The new toy is better than a zx10 (I can't think of many much worse) but a bit worse than the hornet.

Imagine how few crashes he would have had, if he was wearing all the fancy safety-fluro.

Actually I'm thinking of patenting hi-viz camo. I understand thats contradicting the purposes of both camo and Hi-viz, but it will satisfy both the safety nazi ninja/special ops riders :)

coz its the silly season. I'm gonna avoid big rides till at least 3rd jan.
another thing is that the hornet master will be taking on epic journey to souf island at some stage so its gonna be left up to us - unknown young pootlers to keep buzzing while he is gone.
I'm keen on a swarm on 29th and possibly 30th, for a last yearly swarm :)

Oh yeah, I won't be doing any big rides, but aren't hornet swarms normally pootles around Auckland, or have they been huge epic rides when I haven't been??
Damn it sucks to be stuffed around, my friend said "hey let's go see a movie tonight!" so I gave up the swarm, and then he rang me earlier and said they'll decide where, Albany or Wairau, and that he'll get back to me, and..... in the end I missed a ride and didn't see a movie. :(

this evening's 6-7 hour long pootle began with a humble trip to BK after a warm-up around St Heliers GP.
GIJoe and Banzai muttered something about picking up Daisy - a temperamental 2 stroke residing in GIJoe's garage - and so Gremlin, Andy (sp) and I just pootled along behind. GIJoe is likely to follow up this thread with photos (there were many) and a proper outline of the route; detours; adventures and so on.
I will only comment on three things (because apparently all good lawyers speak in threes):
1. you can never do the St Heliers GP too many times in one night.
2. "picking up a bike" means a six hour detour to seedy asian massage parlours, christmas themed surburban blocks and maraetai.
3. after "picking up the bike" the bike must properly be welcomed with a two hour ride to nowhere in particular.
many cheers to everyone who rode, and of course GIJoe for taking us. May the force of the hornet be with you (he is still out riding as I write! :))

Well as I live and breathe, I actually made my pootle short! I just got back from a reduced trip from what I intended to do ... but I guess I just wanted to do a different route to what I did coming back to home! :o
Anyhows, rie has delved into most of the details, I will come back and embellish later.
Funny ... I filled up at Shell in Beach Rd. after the initial St Heliers GP and BK scoff-fest and have now done 200km in that period to now! Time to fill up again soon methinks!
Banzai was captive to me ... being pillioned around, I forgot he was there at times - it was only when I heard the "oooh", "whoooa", "eek!" I remembered not to do anything like pootle to Whangarei or summit like that! :sweatdrop
Gremlin made a guest appearance at the meet point and HungusMaximus was there to shoot the breeze (he didn't ride with us though ... had coffee beans to grind)
andy_r also got into some Hornet Swarm action and it was great to see Hornets buzzing around in the city. There was the usual demented cagers and their erratic behaviour.
In St Heliers a blonde bint just sauntered through, I had already ascertained that she would be doing that and gave a right ol'blast on the horn. Really need to put the Stebel back on! :angry2: At least I got to pull up next to her window and do the "tut tut" wave :nono: I think I heard andy-r chortle loudly!
Anyway did a nice round and about way to my place, Banzai borrowed Daisy, rie tried to rear-end Daisy (ooer!) and Banzai then dropped Daisy in my driveway! :gob:
Poor poor Daisy :weep:

I sat at home, playing host and dish washer to the hungry and opinionated people that turned up to tell me why biking is bad, why my choice in interior colour is bad, why I should have bought in town, rather than beachfront, why I can't clean/cook/think for myself... Also, why global warming is a myth, why my education is worthless... And it went downhill from there.

swarmers are hungry, opinionated people who will tell you that biking makes hooligans out of perfectly civilised people (and therefore awesome) but sadly no amount of riding will help an unfortunate interior decision...or will it? (less property = MOAR BIKES??)

Holy crapola, you are in Dante's level of Hell, I think you are in the one where people who discuss the amount of sesame on their bagels, why wallpaper is passe compared to textured paint, where the best ROI occurs on fixed hedge investments and that sort of blahdom.
The prob MBB is you are basically a barefoot laidback SNAG trapped in the world of high-rollers who wank on about their pretensions of culture, wealth and breeding.
You unfortunately have a foot in both worlds betwixt biking (your true colours) and that of the thin veneer(should that be sneer?) of so called civilisation. I can imagine the scene now ... you are almost finished with the dishes ... and you can hear the conversation emanating from the portal of blahdom, you shudder. You then hurry up and redirty the dishes so you can once again slowly wash and dry them (even though you have a top of the range dishwasher) a cold wind blowing over your soul as your Scoot waits for you in the dark garage ...
I feel for ya man. That anome and disconnection is like a shriving bolt of doom into the pits of your soul. When the "life plan" that others want to map out for you is presented as a fate accompli.

Au contraie my little Korean Mafia Princess, we are filthy biker scum and never the twain shall meet!
Hornet riders are the nicest, most deranged bunch among that minority of people known as bikers. I think its that constant buzzing noise in their ears that causes them to be the way they are.
And being of a hive mind mentality, they seek other Hornets around and swarm invariably.
So sacre bleu, mon ami, I think when next we meet on another inaugural Hornet Swarm Night City ride, there shall be dollops of more crazy situations made more surreal by the fact you actually want to ride along with a Red Camo Ninja intent on finding even more ludicrous situations to happen on!
All I know is, there is bikes involved, riding involved, ice cream involved ... and then the usual degeneration of postings on KB! :innocent:

I am happy with the honorific "Filthy Biker Scum". But what can be wrong with walls that are white. Which btw, was my third choice, but apparently having a small shack and darker interior colours = even smaller shack...
I was thinking of asking for help to carry the couches out so I can park two bikes in the lounge. I think a candy apple CBX and a shiny Scoot would look great parked on the polished rimu floors. And it would make far less comfortable seating for my "guests"...

It's funny, were you there? I answered the door wearing jeans (by Diesel), shit by Nike (no swear words, it was important that I make a good impression). My lack of shoes seemed to cause concern. The guests are hardly high rollers, but talk about wanking on about culture - the next time I hear "well, in Venice they..." or "In France they"..., or worse, "In America they..." I'm going to go postal and scream. The French (all the good ones were killed in the Somme, and the chicken shit ones have altered the gene pool), the Italians, what a bunch of arrogant tossers - don't get me started on fat americans...
I only speak English - but I can swear in French and ask for a root. Apparently that's not good enough - but it seemed to serve me well at the time...?
Funny you should mention the redirtying of dishes. I accidentally used fly spray in the kitchen after I had finished. This obviously necessitated cleaning the dishes all over again... :)

The combatants gazed across the void, seeking michi, their path through the mist of fear and rage. Korean Mafia Princess slowly lowered into horse stance, arms outstretched in Warrior, her gaze impossible to decipher. Slowly the camo ninja reached for his Katana, Ish Hogi (For Life), the glint of steel blue edged in the dim light of the florescent lights of the seedy carpark in the viaduct harbour precinct.
There was more than honour at stake, two tribes were at war, and had been for longer than time recorded. Korean Princess. Chinese Shaolin monk dressed in Camo.
Time stood still, and in the heartbeat of a normal human, an explosion of power and motion, faster than a solitary and distant bystander could comprehend, the sound of sword striking sword, katana on the raw blade of the shortsword the Princess favoured. A sidekick to the knee, hip, and then the sternum, brushed aside by a closed kite, the contempt of a weak opening cast aside; surely the camo ninja had more skill than this weak opening. She struck, her forward stance opening and sweeping forward, into his circle, then the hands exploding outwards, opening his body for the strong blow of her forward snap kick - connecting for a moment, he stumbled back half a step - suddenly she realised that she has been faked, that his lack of opening elegance is a showing, he has used this in order to judge her skill, her contempt makes her weak. He brushes her shoulder, her hip, then somersaulting across her stumbling form, he delivers strikes to her other hip and shoulder. For the first time he speaks - "this is injuring the four corners, next you will feel the final strike as I avenge my family, and your dishonour"...
The Korean Princess, sensing the danger, lifted her head to match his steely gaze, and said "...

Day.2 Gave me blisters on right hand due to stiff as ancient door knob.
(photo will be uploaded soon lol)
Also she doesn't like city riding too...
Day.3 Gave me storms and wet draggin jeans and underpant just because she can't get cable lube from any hardware store...
This one is kinda epic one. At Gijoes was using cable lube to solve the stiffness of throttle and it was starting to become better. But I had to go so about 50% fixed throttle I left his place.
Next day went to ride for the search of Cable Lube to Super Cheap Auto in Mt. Wellington. They didn't have it so I just bought the 2stroke oil that Gijoe told me to get (have to be the same kind, otherwise she will be unhappy)
No rain and continued to Repco. Store persons had no clue what is the thing is so left the store.
On the way back to my place it started to rain badly and I was on the motorway.
I had rain gear but it was 10mins to my place so I just continued and the I got soaked.... :sweatdrop
Got back, get change and did lube the cable with WD40 then the rain stopped again.
Decided to go Bunnings warehouse thinking maybe they might have some then went to Botany but no luck there too...
I had my rain gear on but just as when I walk out from the store it started pissing again...
Gah she's like a little girl who couldn't get what she want during last minute Xmas shopping...

Ok so in Xmas day she must have been in her happy mood so the weather was great but on the way to Xmas lunch I was trying to race against Audi RS4 or 6 at victoria park market light.
Accerelation was awsome in one second I had at least 2 car length advantage but when I try to change to 2nd gear some strange noise were heard and it doesnt go anymore...
Had to pull over in front of victoria park market and I try figure out whats wrong and had look around and found out the chain has came off!!!
I put it back but it's very loose so gotta do tightening again...
I noticed you guys pootling through Mission bay on tuesday night (I think).
Me and Westie were chilling out at starbucks. you shouldve dropped in.
Ah, I waved to you guys from the back seat of Hornet :)

Heck, the clip-ons are bent and the tank scuffed, broken lever - which I had to replace! :gob: (Dagnabbit PirateJafa, when ya gonna do right by her huh? :weep:) ... she was never tidy as pristine new, but I always looked after her :weep:
And the chain coming off with them? I've ridden her for tens of thousands of klicks and voila, she gets the pip. That's Daisy for you, she loves to be ridden, but you got to know how to treat a girl!
She's tempestuous, impertinent, hard to control, changeable and fickle in her moods. I think from now on, Daisy will not be lent out so I cannot get these poor poor things happening to her!

A great little pootle around some of my backyard ... I did the pre-ride ride into BP Botany and waited for Josh on his VTR250 to turn up. I think he has the makings of a right biking nutter. Who else would want to get up voluntarily on Boxing day and head out for a ride with me?
Had a wee bit of a natter and then commenced into the riding. Josh rides well for only his third day for road riding! Did my pootling route around the lovely roads of Whitford, Maraetai and Clevedon. The early start meant no cagers to deal with and made for a vicarious riding experience.
Thanks Josh for riding along, next time we'll do the Hunuas ... but I daresay you will do the Coro loop before next we ride together! :msn-wink:
Right, now that I have done some riding, I think I can handle the rest of the day ... in a cage :weep: But I know as soon as I see/hear a bike, I will be :angry2: :crybaby:

you all must be enjoying not having a gixer following you all around the country! I've been having a few short rides but not like when i was in auckland... sad thing is: might be leaving my bike in the naki and bringing my car up... have bought too much crap to be able to bring it all back on the gixer! haha
have a good christmas guys!
Oh no! The dreaded cage! :shit:
Mind you, i cant do without mine most of the time due to carrying stuff around, so i know the predicament you're in. Just sounds like a good excuse to jump on the back with someone and pootle back down to the naki so you can ride her back up, and have the best of both worlds available back in aucks
Hope you had a good chrissy, and are getting more time to ride now the weather has come right  When you back up to the big city?

I was early to the meet point, had early din-dins at Wendys since I was well starved. Waited ... and waited ... and waited till 7pm rolled around.
Did the St Heliers GP, around to Whitford and Maraetai before being ensconced in front of the portal to KB.
I had the foresight (for once) to pack my one piece rain suit and it kept me dry as a bone. So few cars I could count them on both hands and basically had the roads to myself. Not a single biker to be seen :oi-grr:

There are plenty of threads which can be found by the under-utilised function called search... but regardless
Kiwibike are good, brokers for a few of the more major ones, swann and star included.
HRC might give you a good deal...
the cost of your insurance is going to be particular to your case, based on your age, history etc, so thats why you still have to find out what each will offer. Try to avoid protecta... they aren't very good at paying people.

Well, that was the biggest swarm yet! Plenty of lil'ol'hornets and other marques represented as well
Movie was good to watch, some entertaining bits - but honestly the terms they were using were making us cringe! :pinch: "driving our bikes ..." , "a two wheeled motorbike ..."
Anyway, the usual chaos and mayhem ensued as we made our way to Daikoku Ramen ... for a replenishment of energy for the Nooberg-ring! Once done we made our way to MoMo tea hut for the usual ice beverages and intellectual discussions of a learned nature  Musicman once again showed us that we have a good replacement for Banzai in the hentai department!
After that, moar riding! Chelsea Sugar Factory GP and then off to Albany for some late night twisties. The riders dropped off as the time went and eventually we all made our own way home!
My hat is off to all those who attended the biking festivities tonight. Movie, Food and Riding in the company of like-minded souls.

Apparently we passed two on the way to the milk tea place, buggered if i saw them :shit:
and i dropped mah bebe :weep: Turned in to some more twisties, last 2 didnt follow... i went to do U-turn to see what's up, didnt realise i was in 2nd... got part way round and bike started dyin... grabbed clutch so she didnt, but in the dark and rough road i couldnt hold her up at full lock, and before i knew it down she went.
Picked her up she's ok... smashed mirror, think i bent the brake lever out a bit but not too bad. rear brake lever a little scuffed, zorst seemed okay at a quick glance. Main one that pissed me off is the scuff on the engine casing. She looked so mint before, my pretty baby is scuffed up... :weep:
Feels like someone raped my gf or something... but i did it to her...
Oh well, i'm sure after some sleep i'll be fine... just annoyed at myself, i'd done such a good job of keeping her mint til now. Oh well, Cest La Vie :)

- Drider87 sitting next to me so he is "Closer to my ice cream..." :puke:
- Chickie policeman err policegirl giving us the wink :D
- eating the Daikoku noodles - tasty as
- Doing the Nhobering (sp?)
- Seeing a firestation with a few firewomen with some almost nonexistent clothes
- Musicman entertaining us with things like saying "Speaking of humping in the car..." or showing off his anime porn stach of magazines at MeowMeow tea bar and trying to sudduce the waitresses.:spanking:
- Doing prison road on albany hill
