Bit of a brezze at the moment, sun is shinig though, so as long as we dont get any showers (this is Auckland after all) the road should be dry.

well not muched missed, wet, damp, cold and slow. Not the best thursday ride iv'e been on, but iv'e been on much worse.
Small turn out about 9 bikes i think.
Good to see a couple of old faces as well.
Should be their next time, will even make it to the pub as well next time as well.

Pitty i don't have a bike to enjoy this nice weather yet.

Im pretty sure next Thursday will be the ATNRs 2nd Anniversary, so hopefully we will have decent weather and a good turn-out. Has anyone got any ideas for something different for the ride?

Weather is a bit touch 'n go. One minute the forecast is for rain and now it sounds like it might be fine....... Who knows?

We could skip Riverhead/Westgate all together - meet at Bar Africa and then do a loop from Albany - Warkworth - Albany (via Woodcocks) then back to Bar Africa.

Something a little different. Would a 6:30 departure leave enough light this time of year?


Who knows the SH1 and 16 combination might also give us the highest number of lost licenses in one hit (if people can't control themselves) to make the aniversary really memorable!!!!

The ride will be nearly x2 longer than standard ATNR but we should be back in town by 9-9.30 depends on the group size etc.... We may have a dinner stop along the ride route tonight, depends on if the shop is open and what peeps want...........will dicuss this at Pre-ride briefing.

They were parked on the outside left lane with headlights on facing oncoming traffic, this was just outside of Warkworth heading back to Albany (we didnt stop for food), riding up we see these headlights in our lane, then another car further up coming down, was like wtf where do we go ... So pretty much off topic but I've been missing the rides so bad and want to say hi! My bike should be screwed back imto one piece by now and I'm having spells of a few days in a row where the ol' noggin is holding in there so you might have a TEC in shiny new gear next week or the week after. Will be cruising for a while yet and actually missing work (or being able to do work, once I'm able I'm sure I can think of way better things to do!) I was about to leave then realised I don't have a taillight or a rego. Something in the back of my head about tempting fate came up. The taillight I won't ride without, the rego, meh, probably better to have one on a ride. So for the last 2 hours I've been fitting an LED taillight. Got it all sweet but it's too directional for me, I like a bit of side cover too. and fitting a new foot brake light micro switch as the std one sticks off then on.
