My first "country" ride on my new 600 zx6r. Some parts were pretty freaky.

And this'll be a give away as to who I am - I'm the one that stopped for petrol at the last second before we departed and got left behind! lol - thanks again for waiting for me Troy. And George and the other guy that waited (5~10 minutes!!) on the corner indicating the turn... Next time I promise I'll be more prepared!!

The entertainment at the Ale House was priceless... And yes, I did stop past Takapuna on my way home - just in time to see them all jumping off the busses :P

Picked up 'the Revits' and we rode out from the North Shore. Weather was looking brilliant. Very picturesque. Ran into a little rain at the lights outside Shell Westgate. Skinny black cloud hanging over the place.
The Revits got tired of waiting for us to stop talking shit so they went off and did their own ride. The remaining FIVE hard men followed Ninja Nana out through Riverhead then up through Ridge Rd. etc. Tiny little bit of rain but an enjoyable ride. Couldn't find anybody at Ale House ( no :Pokey: and :Playnice:) so went to Bar Africa - nobody there - ended up at New Brew? Nice place.. Hot ride home:rolleyes:

We've been over that subject ad nauseam, so I won't go into it.

Suffice to say that my oldest points don't roll off until August, and I don't have any chance whatsoever of avoiding the three months.

I shouldn't have any hassles sorting a limited licence to cover commuting on Betty and running the kids around in the car on weekends, though, and I'll be able to delay actually surrendering my licence until sometime in June, so it'll all work out relatively conveniently over the winter.

And, of course, with a few appropriate bribes to folk who drive around the countryside with spare space in trailers, I'll still be out playing at Taupo track on a regular basis during those three months, so Betty's throttle won't exactly rust shut.

The worst part of it will be the hike in my insurance costs when the renewal dates roll around again.

Back to ATNR after 4 weeks off bike (overseas). Rode like a nanna (expected). Difficult "trying" to ride quickly at anytime, but at night its ..... dodgy. Stayed in comfort zone. Good company, but cant say I like the Speights Ale House, prefer the atmosphere of Bar Africa. Speights you feel like you are sitting in the car park. And there arent any decent chicks around.

Hey I thought that was you doing the not quite legal U Turn as I was coming round the corner from Motohaus. Mind you the manoveor that I did to cross the intersection probably wasn't quite legal either.

WAS NOT a close call by any means, I was quite impressed that after 2.5 years living in Auckland, I at long last have randomly encountered somebody that I know!!!!
