I say invite him. It seems like a wise move to me. Im sure he's just a normal person like we are in the end. Like you said, he probably just needs to see that we are...

Mmm. Wonder who you would be turning to for some friendly help in the event of a misfortune. Or would you be turning them away because they only exist to ........etc
If he comes and he see's we are not a bunch of baby eating morcrons (sorry mate) it may improve things for the ATNR.
Morcs your a brave man coming out like that  I know a few guys 'in the big house' who would like to catch up when they are released next year :buggerd:

You blokes live in a vacuum..........regardless of how ginga perceives us when having social time, do you think for one minute that will stop him ticketing?

The cop's are not your freind.
The vast majority care not what any member of the general public has to say. They exist to ticket you and arrest you, not to have a cosy chat.
Fuck sake wise up people!
I agree. But one of the "cops" owned me up the river head highway on a tight corner tonight.

Weather is looks promising for this Thursday. Showers clearing...... :woohoo:
Hopefully Troy will put some of his awesome collection of bikes on show including:
A nice selection of 250 2-strokers (NSR, TZR and RS)
A couple of RZ500's
One Mint RC30 (VFR750)
Extremely tidy RZ250
Cute little NSR80
Shame the NR750 went to its new owner..... :bye: However it sounds like a 2009 Vmax will be on the ride.
at last, some real bikes...shame im not gonna be there:doh:

Hey guys,
The ATNR gets bagged from time to time and although I am sure those that put it all together get that they are appreciated, I for one would like to put it on record.
From QkChk to Morcs to Stranger and through to GunnyRob, KiwiGraham to name just a few that contribute their time and passion each week.
I hope you guys get the Karma returned to you over Christmas and a few people putting hands on your backs for a job well done.
I don't know too many people here and have probably missed a whole bunch that deserve full Kudos.... perhaps others can help me out, because there are lots that make this a great ride. Frosty for a start for pulling so many out of ditches and others for just providing entertainment pulling wheelies!!!
:first: Thanks guys... your time efforts and smiles are fully appreciated. :first:
I had a fun time last night, but then I do every ATNR. Have a great Christmas all!!!!

Well done people. Only the one dropped bike (who would of thought a Ninja 250R could wheelie?) with minimal damage.... Otherwise a well behaved pack of riders. 3/4 of the 40+ bikes were ATNR newbies.
Big ups to Troy and the boys at Motoworld in Albany. Put on a good feed (mmm cheesy sausage, dont be filty minded and some steaks) and eyecandy on display (yummy RC45). Some of the KB guys gave us a bit of entertainment, slow racing scooters and even at one stage a R6 vs 3 scooters. Big ups to Chris who borrowed a certain 'Busa and left a lasting reminder out the front of the shop. (For those who buggered off early - there was another ring joined to the first)
It sounds like Troy is keen to have another BBQ early next year - so watch this space!
1,2,3. Out the front of the shop
4. Eye Candy - RVF750 (RC45) with only 2000kms. Sorry has been sold!

Sorry to have missed the BBQ by the time we had Jason's KTM sorted we got back there and everyone had gone:confused:
Nothing too serious on the KTM just a battery, seems its fallen apart somewhere inside so a new one today will cure the problem.
Good to get the old girl out and stretch her legs again I had forgotten how much work (and fun) the twisties are on a 3 ton truck:doh:
Great ride though and I will attend more in the new year:2thumbsup

Gee Graham, thats a bit flukey eh? Must be a Hells Angel out there missing his iron bar off his bike?
Real nice ride guys ' n gals. By the time I got to Albany I was ready to turn around and head up to Wellsford. The ride had great mojo!
Pretty well behaved lot last night, just a couple of things to point out:
1. If you have max forward momentum and then realise the turn off is just in front of you, turn only if you can do so safely. If you have 30 bikes up your bum it pays to carry on up the road and then turn around.....
2. One particular biker has 9 lives. After poppin the wheel up, this rider managed to put it back down just as a :Police car pulled out of a road just ahead of him. No doubt one he had a 'poo poo' moment and would have been well behaved sitting behind Mr.:Police til they parted company.
3. If you decide to reverse your bike into a parking space up against the kerb, please watch what is going on around you, as you may have stolen someones spot.
That is all.

Pretty well behaved lot last night, just a couple of things to point out:

2. One particular biker has 9 lives. After poppin the wheel up, this rider managed to put it back down just as a :Police car pulled out of a road just ahead of him. No doubt one he had a 'poo poo' moment and would have been well behaved sitting behind Mr.:Police til they parted company.

Ha! no more 9 lives for me used em all up this arvo. Did a nice burn out to farewell my captives tho.
That turn off is a bit of a nasty one. Once over the brow of the hill before it, the following bikes cannot see you. Bit of a stuff up sorry.

Went through twice last night, visor up, in 3rd and exited at about 140, yeah sounds brilliant. Saw a cop about 2 kms south of the holes. Had tea in Orewa, went back through the tunnels, cop was still parked up, got to the toll pay thingy and turned around. More noise in the tunnels, past the cop at 100kms. Stoped at the roundabout and txt Dawn, there were now two cops on the toll rd. Both heading north, same as me, legal speed was in order, one cop pulled over then stayed about 100mts behind me.
Novilty all gone now, they are just tunnels.

I woke up last night with a headache and the wife getting all amorous.
I said " Not tonight dear, I have a headache"
She replied, " You've got a headache? ... Is it really bad? "
When I answered "Yes" to both questions, she jumped out of bed.
I was thinking what a good woman she is, getting up to get me some Disprins and a glass of water.
Well, she comes back with a broom. Starts prodding me in the back with the handle.
When I ask, "What are you doing?"
She replies, " Letting you know what it feels like when I have a headache".

Good ride last night - except for the :girlfight:
Make sure you 'turkeys' keep your distance while riding AND overtaking. Even though you may feel you have left enough room, the chap you have just rubbed shoulders with may think otherwise.....
Wont be back till the 16th (back down to CHC) and don't want to read about shit happening that didn't need to happen!
Play it safe.

Its hard to keep your distance when some fulla's only interested in wheelieing down the straights and then taking it easy on the corners, then some other fulla has the desire to stand on his seat, not much forward momentum there.
But anyways, the ride was good, enjoyed doing the entire R Road.

Think you'll find the pace was a little less than desired.
Hence the shenanigans etc.

thats why you passed me on a straight, then held me up
what you may consider fast through corners, so of us consider slow, and when the ride is that pace, and people are bunched up, why bother? just do wheelies on the straights...
