And if KB'd gotten a gold coin donation for every time that happened to a KBers, we'd be having KB sunday BBQs all through summer!

Hmm, a regional KB fun sounds like an idea! It'd not only teach others to check their killswitch first, but Sunday BBQs would be great!

Tig-One of the things i loathe most is when i come back to my bike and some filthy swine has deigned to taint MY by laying their grubby hands on her and hittin that kill switch. One of the 1st things i check these days, but yes, wish it was wired to emit a 50 volt shock to the porcine pretender. I found acupuncture somewhat helpful, some osteo and massage therapy...

Now that sounds like a really good plan. Will have to do that. Currently shopping for a bike to get me through the next 18 months (ho hum stupid restricted changes). I don't think the XJ could handle any extended rides :P Once I find whatever (No clue what I'm buying yet, anything I'd like is JUST over the power/weight ratio for LAMS compliancy) I'd be up for it. Dying to do the Coro loop.

I'll definitely be doing the Cape Reinga ride if that gets going again this year. I love the Northland, its my favorite part of NZ hands down.

MAHA ya cheeky bugga :bleh: do they have banjos in reefton? Just kidding, um in the land of Suzukis-Hondas-the odd Trumpy and the rare HD...OOOooo the benality...actually the scooters are quite cool here but the roads and streets are terrible. :( SO narrow and maze-like one can feel claustrophobic. The motorised 2 wheelers are abit kamikaze in their riding style too...freaky AND Last week i saw some cops on bikes...thought OH cool (they look so official and spiffy)...then laughed...they don't filter here (so were stuck for ages in the que even though there were filtering gaps a mile wide (the Japanese do strike me as being big on RULES..meh...)-my tour bus beat them down the road?) and drive in the left wheel track even though they're right drive vehicles??? Guess there must be logic to this, something um missing.

How are you and Moms? Enjoying 'NIFTY' ness ??? I see the Te Whakawi rides gathering steam and followers...i like the double entendre of the rides name BTW...KRAK UP.

Howdi All,

I know you meet up Thursday evenings and Ill join you folks on Thursday evenings from time to time, but do you do regular weekend rides as well?

I'd prefer a regular Sunday run, could join the North Shore crowd, but since I live in Pukekohe, makes more sense to ride in this area.

I am not sure that I want my "one-careful-lady-owner" bike being hooned around a race track.

Took a risk the other day and moved it to the storage while the rego is still on hold. Funny riding it with no noise and having such a short wheelbase. As well as revvy.

Just a short report on from last SASS: After the pub, the Suzuki started to run really rough. Before that it had died at the car park and Rob managed to find that the +ve battery connection was loose, so managed to revive it. Starting off from the pub later on, however, it was spluttering and backfiring, and only managed about 30kph. Headlight wouldn't come on either... :(

Just got on the motorway with Rob and Chris playing mother hens when Rob said it just wasn't safe, so we turned off the motorway and left the Suzuki at my workplace which wasn't far away. The next day, had a look at the bike with a couple of workmates and we found a blown fuse, plus tightened the loose battery connection. Bike started right away but headlight wouldn't come on. Rolled the bike out for a test ride and the headlight came back on! Rode the bike home with no incidents. Whew! :sweatdrop

Thanks Rob & Chris! You're awesome, mates!

Correct me if I'm wrong, have only been to SASS a couple times, but I'm sure I saw Sis this morning on the motorway.. pinching car mirrors as she rode by.

I sat behind you for a few minutes before passing in the next lane, stupidly wasn't expecting so much traffic so I was almost late to work.

So if you noticed the blue ninja who pulled in front of you (after checking that you were futher back mind you!), and probably splitting too fast, that was me.

I noticed the bike. Wondered if it was someone I knew
I was a bit pissed off with 2 cars that were dilerberately trying to block me
When I got to work I had a message from police telling me that they will pull me over next time. The male voice mentioned about the Harley. What has that got to do lane splitting or pinching mirrors.

Good session last night. Four of us for the ride and car park and then five at the pub (actually Lone Star as the usual watering hole was booked for a Xmas do)...

Weather held up and a luverly sunstrike-less ride thanks to low clouds. Figure eights in the car park with ever-decreasing radius. Good solid training...

:niceone: Thanks for that, Sis!

Yes, was a good wee pootle and practice sesh.:scooter:..was amazed at the hot choccy mallows that came with the hot choccy ..so should have ordered one of those! AND was good to see our young padewan replete in some rather styly gear..very good young fulla. :msn-wink:Gratz to Big Papa, a lovely addition to the SASS family. :niceone: hmmm we should do a coffee run out west very soon, just cos we can and cos a mate resides out those ways. Could do a ride round Huia-Laingholm, Hardware cafe does some alright eats..lots of places to eat at in the village. Have a ponder...

Hey fellow SASS bodz, still here...missed the last few rides cos i've been the only one manning the office for work over the holiday period.:violin:..and tonight was my last work day before i head to the middle east for a couple weeks tomorrow.:woohoo:..had to get some bits and pieces sorted. Was gutted i wasn't able to ride AND prob won't make a ride til Feb the way things are going. :cry:Rides sound like they were great though. :scooter:

Oh, as for challenges...coming out of High St carpark building, i'm at the lights and get a green to cross Victoria St lights onto Lorne, then 3 people decide to walk leisurely in front of MY and i when i am literally in motion and crossing the threshold...the witless young female and her dimwitted escorts got the fright of their lives, they were on a red walky person...paid no heed, trotted across without looking left and right, then heard me rev a warning, looked at me - then leisurely kept going and assumed i would be stopping. Hog passed a hairs breath from the vapid females frilly slippered foot. :Oops:Some people have no goddam sense! :angry:Knew i wasn't going to hit her obviously but they danced a fine line tonight, or should i say, skipped...hahaha...unbelieveable. Natural selection 2013...natures way of culling abberations.
