hey guys im thinking of going for a ride tomorrow from Te Puke down to Rotorua then up SH30 then onto the road that goes out to Lake Okataina. Then perhaps home around the other side of Lake Rotovegas. Anyone wanna come? Im gonna go alone if nobody wants to come anyway. Shwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeet. I'll be leaving Te Puke at around 9 or so probably.

Yeah it was a bit slippery in places. Before today, the last time i had been up there ( in a car ) was 4 months ago, and all i remembered was that it was a windy road. lol. Oh well, it was a good ride anyway.

Yeah roads a bit narrow and covered in ice grit :angry: the bike slipped a couple of times too :shit: though did look like an ok fishing spot.

I actually didnt really mind the narrow road. Yeah it was a bit slippery in places but i just dodged them. On the way outta there i had a good time on those corners, i certainly wasnt going slow ( for those corners anyway ) on the way out lol. My bike didnt slip around at all.

Anyone been into Honda GP lately? They have three old World War 2 looking German sidecar bikes in there. The lady in there told me Ural ( russian company ) was making them after the war and now the Chinese have got the plans off them. So they are brand new German / Russian / Chinese bikes which look 60 years old but have just left the factory in China. God damn they look cool, but errr, Chinese motors... not my favourate.

Check out the tire's before and after shots, it had 1600km on the clock, they looked a bit better after another 250km :D :2thumbsup
If your wondering what I'm pointing at it was where the wear on the tire ended when I picked the bike up, after 1600km :confused:

Have tried all sorts of stuff. I think my main problem is it's only polished aluminium and I suck at polishing most metals that need that much care.
I do pretty damn good on chrome though lol.

Hey guys, yeah I'm still around. Just been busy sorting my shit out before I fuck off overseas. As I was tell Chris, I hope to get down there on a Thursday night soon. Should be easier now as I won't be playing hockey for a couple of weeks coz I broke my fucken thumb last night.

Have tried all sorts of stuff. I think my main problem is it's only polished aluminium and I suck at polishing most metals that need that much care.
I do pretty damn good on chrome though lol.

Give it to Jimmy out this way. he'll have them mint in 10mins and probably only charge you about $10. Btw, when metal's been polished properly the last thing you wanna do is use brasso or any metal polish on it, It'll only damage the finish. use kerosene or a similar solvent to clean it.

But going around twisties on an empty road in the beemer i used to own was still a heck of a lot of fun. I guess in a car you have more room for error ( when there are no other cars around ) and it is heaps of fun having the back step out. Oh and paddocking bashing, cars are great for that. But yes, Mike, 5pm, stuck in traffic, it is annoying. Oh and bikes are great for twisties too, but that doesnt mean RWD cars with far too much torque arnt. :yes:

I think you'll find that what he's getting at is that alot of your ramblings in here lately have been bordering on PD. and there is a huge difference between your random chat that's of no interest to anyone else and us wishing happy birthday to a friend who's highly respected around here and has been around a hell of a long time.

... I got a bit more to say...

Had cool day fishing off the ski, went out the entrance, came back in and shot over to Omokoroa

On my way back (the tide was low) I hit a sand bar and got chucked over the front... sand in my undies and a nice crowd laughing (once I stood up) on the beach... got a few pats on the back from people with tears in their eyes.

beach whale! hahaha and quite entertaining too
