Was atleast expecting Steven to show up this morning but oh well. Managed to run into Mount-local on his way out so hooked in with him.
Was even rewarded for going with the sun shining on me by noon as if to make up for the downpour I had to ride through over the Kaimais in the morning and the road works on the toy run route and inconsiderate riders. So I took the long0ish way home. Tirau-Oko-Rotorua, through Pyes pa to home.
I'm at that point of relaxation that only sex, weed or a good ride can give you.

Anyone here thinking of going to the NZ SBK final at Pukekoha this weekend? Sure, it's not a very exciting ride, but would be worth it for the race. Otherwise I might go up on my own for the whole weekend - got a mate with a place at Mt Eden (can probably sleep 2 or 3 others if anyone is keen for a big weekend at the big smoke).
On another note, probably cant make the Oko ride tomorrow, as we're doing a "team building exercise" at work tomorrow, with a BBQ scheduled for 5pm.

Hi guys, just a quick heads up. The Herceptin Rrotest ride has landed in Tauranga tonight. MYGSXF (Jen to her friends) is looking forward to meeting a few of you lot for a hello and what have you. A good ride out tomorrow may be a go as the ride takes a rest day. If you are around and at a loose end tonight, how about showing a bit of hospitality to them. Nasty and Maxworldbiker are also on the ride. Txt Jen 0272015064 if you can offer to lead her astray a bit later this evening :blip: or take her for a few twisty bits tomorrow even :2thumbsup.

The newly sealed corners on the kaimais are fine and should be good when "run in". There is some road works just before the oko hall only a short stretch though.

Probably not the best place to have a grizzle but I will anyway. Anyone ever felt like smacking Brian from Smiths Motorcycles in Durham Street in the teeth? I am not an aggro person but when I approached him today about the history of the bike I bought from him 6 months ago he basically told me to take a running leap. As an aside to that who in business today uses the F word in conversation with customers they don't really know?
Then he said the second opinion I got from another firm (Bay City) was worthless as they were just "muffler mechanics". Too bad really as I was about to spend some more dollars with him on gear, plus get a WoF for the bike. I guess I will just tell 10 friends...

Hmmm. Im now really disturbed that I have 'muffler mechanics' about to do a service on my precious beast on Monday.
As a Wholesales Sales Rep myself, the one golden rule is, 'do noy diss the opposition'. In fact, I always say they have good products and service, but the point of difference with our products and service is.....
Leave the punters to make up their own damn minds. I also managed to win a several thousands $$$ worth of contract recently over the opposition because I didnt swear in front of the customer, when the opposition rep did. Mind you wasnt rocket sicience, as I was selling to a christian community, so I was careful to mind my Ps and Qs naturally, and believe me, I have a natural fowl language that just fluidly rolls off the tongue.

They changed it this year hoping to draw crowds and badge sales and stuff from the marathon or something leaving from around the same area.
No, they changed it because Bayfair's new management wasn't interested.

All they will do is take it off you if they can. Got nothing to lose. If it was me id just sell it to a mate, then buy it back off him a month later dereg'd as a track / race bike.

If the lawyer has to pull the lawbook out in front of you as a 'safety blankie' then his legal advice should be questioned, IMO. Bet you would like to have an interesting conversation with said lawyer now aye Calvin, perhaps with the tractor involved along the way somehow?

On selling does not prevent a vehicle being up for repo, or court impoundment, sucks for the person who has bought the vehicle.

Ah so you have to sell it quickly before its repo'd. Sucks for him then. Yep, you should get a camera and film it all and make an advert. Would be crack up. Maybe see if it can run on cooking oil like a niffty 50 as well? heh. Might not be a good idea wrecking the bike entirely....

meh repo was the wrong word, thats when ya cant pay for the damn thing so the finance company comes and takes all ya crap! i ment impounded or siezed or whatever lol.
Unit
18th March 2008, 20:50
Yep thats right Mark. Repo is about not paying. Impoundment has some odd laws around it, and can be 'managed' if ya know them. Having said that, if you owe money, and your bike is impounded, then the finance company has to bust the bike out of impoundment to uphold their claim, otherwise if they let it slide, they forfeit to the crown also

Shit that would be AWESOME to see! hahaha I can imagine chasing the cows up the race on a gsxr, getting stuck in the electric fence again and all that fun stuff.
None of this would have ever happened had he owned a super high performance hyobag (yellow). Max speed less than 140 if there is a slight hint of wind = no loss of licence at all ever! :D
