Tom hasnt even picked his one up yet, and its engine is rooted ( will be a few weeks ) and well, i dont want another $400 fine ( im at $800 and counting, i can get let off $400 when i get my exemption ) so i tink im going to wait until i get my exemption to ride mine =P The LTSA called to tell me that i was accepted with my new exemption, just gotta wait for the piece of paper in the mail!
Congratulations on getting your exemption Mark, looking forward to being
legal again I bet
PS. good luck with your exam.

should i go thru' the last 20 odd pages?
i'm guessing
- WL's had more probs with either of his bikes
- BB's got himself another Honda ('cos you meet the nicest people on a Honday)
- Wyb's trying to decide b/w an R6 or a CBR6
- DD's bought hisself a 10mm wetsuit and has re-joined the jetski community
- G's been headhunted by YouTube to further their NZ division
- Darrell's avoiding wheelies and working on stoppies now.
- the Young Ones continue to roll around in their bath of brown stuff...a la Neil
am i close?:innocent:
Not to far of the mark mate, dunno about the stoppies though, good to see you fella's are back safe and well.

I'de still be fixing it all the time, just instead of electrical bugs or what not it would be crash damage repair.

That sounds unusual mate - so if there's no spark (we know that cause errr, there wasn't any) and it's not coil, leads or plug, the next step back is what provides power to the coils, ie the alternator / stator... but I wouldn't have thought that would only affect one out of four plugs, it would be all or nothing.

just beat the shit outa ur bike with a wrench once it no longer moves wrap it up in bin bags tie it up with rope and concrete tape make sure to use concrete tape its really strong! then take it up to manaweka bush its a really bad road you need a 4wd then dunp it out there... yeah that should do it... dump the wrench out there too.. use amonia baced cleaning products and make sure to burn all of your cleaning equiptment after

You may need to go onto your vmax site and get a wiring diagram to give these guys the best chance of nailing the problem.

And I was riding in that.
Contact cleaner did nothing, I think that current tester light thing Gordie loaned me is broken and out of my depth with the other one. Got good readings between the wires going into the coil and the frame though. Will have nother look at it tomorrow.
I was witness to the start of this storm Wednesday afternoon when I rode north here to Whangarei. Got just north of Natea when the rain started, all good I was well wrapped up, but as I got to the southern motorway it really started to pour down. By the time I got to about Manukau the traffic was down to 30ks, and I could hardly see a thing (lane splitting with fogged up visor, ugly). It was fat rain, then the lightening started flashing to my left. By Orewa I was soaked to the bone (full wets and four layers of clothes), by Waiwera it was dry again. My cell phone drowned in the process in my pocket (that will learn me re phone in plastic bag), and my boots were full of water. 11 years since I rode in rain that heavy.

My sister rang me and said "It's really pissing down and windy. Are you going to be OK riding home in this?" Of course I'm looking out the window thinking "WTF are you on about? It's not even raining here!"

What, 15min ride home and you get a head cold, toughen up young lady. Oh thats right, you dont drink, normally, so no immune build up to head colds. I rode for two hours after getting saturated, in the dark and cold.

Not sure how they sort the tiers for the DYO but in between each tier they have grudge matches when you race who you want.

Honestly, I thought I'd walked away before that happened :o
You were fine, inoffensive and slightly amusing.......no shames in that
Depends on how much you 'practice'. We practice every weekend, therefore, attempting to reverse the aging process to retain our youth that we couldnt handle then, but can now, if ya get my theory:drinkup::blink:
Youth is wasted on the young I reckon :Punk:

It has taken me a few km to get used to the pilot power front.:gob:
The rear was fine straight from the get go but the front felt very different to the supercorsa's that I am used to.
The mind is a funny old thing. Well mine is anyway lol:innocent::sunny:

Hmm, are they more like the ones between Waihi and Whangamata or between Whangamata and Kopu?

Both...all...variety personified and a road surface that encourages confidence IMHO.
Should add that the views are divine too. Quick or cruisin'...it's a good day!

It's hard to find a road where you like all of it.
I'm putting myself back into learner mode and am trying to re-learn some of the basics before I attempt anything that'll just scare me. I'm in an interesting place right now - it's so freakin' frustrating being a pansy for fear of killing myself.
I don't see the point in owning a bike I'm too scared to ride, but on the other hand, I'm not getting rid of it just because my head's fucked up :bash::weird::brick:
Oh I give up :thud:

parts for the bike are in stock including the slip on muffler :D
some brand call Leovince, and all available overnight, so they say
I guess we'll what and see how long it will really take.

Re Gaycob and his comments re Annette's and my views re Leo Vince cans...never listen to a redneck that smells of farm animals man.
No we didn't like the cans on the RSVR as those particular ones didn't do the job on the twin and we also didn't like the aesthetics either.
Very good quality cans...enjoy as they have to be a million times better than the drain pipe ya had before brother! :dodge:
