Greetings other Tauranga riding guys!
Dingdong advised me that you KB guys gather for catch up. Was going to join you tonight but got slack and cooked some steak and eggs instead.

I'm pretty new to riding on the road. Mainly rode crap old farm bikes with no compression and mud caked engines years ago.

I have a yellow Hyofun GT250 naked beast that I'm getting my skills up on. So dam much fun going up oropi road and pyes pa road and around through to the other side of Te Puke. Loving every second of it (every second some arse in a truck isn't pulling out in front of me:angry: ).

Will be fun to meet some fellow bikers and check out your machines and talk some crap and go for rides etc etc

Get a TL1000s those TLR's are so fat (in a bad way).

Can carry pillions comfortably on a Vmax, can still fang it in the twities by myself. Most importantly I absolutly have to get a new bike soon and no telling when I will be able to afford the R6. Where as from what I have seen online so far I can get a Vmax for under $5K.

Wonder if I should go for the one on trademe that has been bored out to 1440cc lol.

Also have this crazy idea of putting carbon fibre exhaust like some TL's and SV's have instead of the ugly ones they come with stock.

Oh and probably the exhaust comming out of the inch or two that is all that remains of my rear header pipe.

vmax first of the real modern muscel bike.

You wanna make sure you get one with vboost at a minium, other wise point less, Over all the handling isn't great, but be better than your current bike i believe, but with a shit load more power,

the vmax was produced for like 12 or so years pretty much unchanged. Alot of people do not styling but i like it really.

Hey all,
Well this Thursday will be my last shift at Navigator :bye: The boss asked me to keep it quiet till next week though so no mention of it at work before hand. Wanted to tell you all last week but there were too many ears (locals/ other staff) around. Have enjoyed my time there but I am looking for mon-fri day shifts, not going to get that where I am going to start with, but have made it clear that is what I would like to see happen.
So where am I going you ask? Well there is a new restraunt/bar opening in Tauranga not sure of the name yet but is next door to the old McDonalds (now a bank) Corner of Devonport and Elizabeth st. My role will be Bar Manager. Hoping it will all work out but will have to wait and see I guess. There are no beer taps, and the bar hasn't even been finished yet!
Anyhow just thought I would tell you all so if you miss this week, the service will never be the same! You might even have to ask for your usuals :gob: !!
Will see you all there on Thursday for the end of an era! :yes:

Beginning Thursday 17th August, our new meeting point will be Devonport Bar & Brassarie on Devonport rd in Tauranga (next to where Macca's used to be on the corner of Elizabeth st).

If you guys all agree I'll copy this in to the first post.

Keep going the same usual direction
before you get to the lights by the harbour bridge, you will see a round-about on your right... take that.
go straight thru the first set of lights
You'll see a second set of lights up ahead (200mtrs away) go there and turn left and stop.
The proposed bar is on your right... easy?:yes:

There is a BK and 10 meters is set of lights, the bar is around that set of lights. just look for the bikes

Too damn exphensive and I don't want a sportsbike if it's gonna be the only bike I have for a while.

Found a VMax for just over that and currently working to get a loan to get it.
