Fuck this is a good song I've not heard in a a while.
Good God have I been dreaming
This paralyzing feeling?
Was I left alone? Where have you gone?
Were you somewhere else just sleeping?
If I wait to wake you
I'll never ask you
Would you take my hand?
In the deepest end
Would you stay and drown in me?
My open eyes see everything
But I'm passing all the days
through a window pane
And as the scene would change
I'd stay the same
This paradise was nothing new
But the paradise gets tired of you
A single conversation
Stole my attention
My open eyes see everything
And you see nothing
And don't forget it
Stay and Drown by Finger Eleven. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9a5e43HYUso&feature=related)

Back up in Whangarei again tonight. Had an awesome ride just dragging along behind a number of vehicles who were setting not to shabby pace. Still saw 5 cops in total out there doing their thing trying to keep all of us safe. No hassles as I was good girl. :cool: Couldnt believe the weather broke open back home, my ride was dry all the way. Must admit once I hit Auckland the temperature dropped serverely. Left Tauranga wrapped up in the sweltering heat but I knew it would be 300ish Ks before I stopped (but actually stopped south end of Akld motorway in the end), and that it would be cooler later on, glad I did rug up. Looking forward to a squirt along the harbour with my son tomorrow to our new haunt where he tries to thrash me on the pool table.
Hope everyone else has a safe motorcycling weekend. I'll be back Sunday late, looking forward to next night ride as my new headlight bulbs should be installed by then, thanks again to Chris' ever active shopping cart :2thumbsup

I forgot to even ask them about that, ah well.
I saw in another thread that it can be caused by people tightening the bolts on the axle too tight, or for other reasons, the thread was based on the same model bike as mine, I'll see if i can find a link.

That ain't on Mike...grow some bigguns and go and talk to them,specifically Mark as he's the workshop manager.
As I wasn't there and haven't spoken to them re your job I won't make any judgements,BUT if YOU'RE not happy with any shop re anything then open ya gob and suss the hap's then and there,we are the customers after all.
I've had a couple of minor hiccups with BCM but as I'm the way I am things got sorted and haven't had any issues since...I am VERY well looked after.
Always interesting to see how people get differing experiences from the same shops

Had a decent little pootle today, just to see if I could fit anything decent in before work...
Tauranga>Waihi>Whangamata(lunch)>Waihi>Paeroa>Te aroha>back road that runs parallel to the kaimais>Tauranga.
Was a good little blat, though I have to say that the best part was the roads between Waihi and Whangamata, was a bit of traffic, but man were those sets of corners mint!
PS. Road works for a bit between Waihi and Whangamata, looks like some re-surfacing.

That be in Norfland G. Chris, Gord, Tina and I all went up Saturday night for Mr Maunders 40th, was a good night, then we met at Mangawhai for the Maha's get together, which was a fantastic KB gathering and an excellent day. Yep me and ol BB2 had a great day alright - talk about four seasons in one day, we had a bit of fun in the snow.
Caught us off guard really as there was no warning - straight over a slight rise in the road then into the snow, it only went for about 100 metres must have been an isolated fall, it had already claimed one car which had slid off the road into a ditch, people were already helping him out so we decided to continue on.
As for running out of gas, what a dick head, but on a positive note I picked a good spot to do it.
Rain was just starting to get heavy just passed a few bikers about 2 ks back sheltering from the rain,then the dreaded splutter, stopped out side a farm house under some pine tree's waited a couple of minutes for my trusty buddy bb2 to arrive back.
Decided to go in and ask the farmer if we could lend a sifeining hose and a container to get some gas out of bb2 s bike, Couldn't believe my eye's when we walked through the gate - there was the Bro with all his Whanau having a few quite one's out on the varanda.
Sorted out the gas, then went back to share a kiaora beer with them,said our good byes and thanks and off we went.
home about 9.30pm great day.

A mate and his wife and I are going for a mini tiki tour for a couple of days and you are welcome to join us. Here is the plan;
Leave Tauranga 2nd Jan, cruise to Gisborne via the east cape and take in the sights and probably stay in gissy the first night.
3rd Jan, head to Taranaki via Napier/Hastings, taking all coastal roads where possible and staying in the Naki for a night.
4th Jan returning north to tauranga again.
The plan is to take a sleeping sack and a tent and camp the 2 nights. Plans are fairly loose at this point, the more riders there are the more organised I will get. The idea is not to race past everything at 200mph but maybe deviate off the track to check out something interesting, stop at a quiet bay and take a swim, have a beer at the country pub so more like a tour.
I havent taken that route before so if anyone has any recommendations of a cool camp site, pub, beach, scenic route etc let me know or just join us.
So come on people load up your trusty stead and join us for a short squirt around the core of the north island. Pm me if interested, I will come for the sunday 30th ride so you can talk to me there.
Here is a link to another post of the ride.

Since I can get my full mid February, I've started having a look around the net for what I want for my next bike.
Went around some of the bike shops yesterday aswell, sat on a few bikes, but there seems to be one standout...
<img src="http://vne-resource.iol.co.za/30/picdb/article0/c/8/42173">
The Yamaha XTX660 Supermotard!
Why?
I only started looking into motards after riding round on my cousins 200cc dirtbike over christmas. Sure, the brakes barely worked and the suspension was completely farked, but within a couple of days riding it, 2nd gear wheelies were no problem, and riding the bike overall was just a ridiculous amount of fun, and even thinking about taking that kind of riding on to the road, its hard not to muster a smirk or cheeky grin.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_LfpDpxIdk
Yes, I know this bike is heavy, and is no 100+hp sportbike, but I dont care, I talked to one of the guys at bayride and I'll be test riding one in Feb.
<img src="http://static.blogo.it/motoblog/2006_XT660X_Photo_01_tcm39.jpg">
Sure, I went around to the other bike shops, sat on a VTR1000, which was quite nice, looked at the SV's, cool, then sat on a CBR600RR, what a joke, ass up in the air, clip-on's almost lower than the seat, I felt almost vertical, and can see why people call the hardcore sportsbikes 'Crotch-rockets', not a riding position I would want on my next bike (the GSX has quite raise clip-ons). One of the others I liked was the aprilia shiver, but I dont have a shit show of affording one of them.
The test ride will obviously make or break it, but from what ive read, it sounds like a shitload of fun through the twisties and backroads...
<img src="http://static.flickr.com/107/286762100_17b784c6ac.jpg">
Looks like I might have to keep the GSX for longer than intended though :edit: a hell of a lot longer, to build up some decent funds since I dont have as much as I thought I would at this point, so a new sprocket is on the way so atleast the bike will sit at lower rev's on the open road.

...and in traffic! ZERO regrets changing to a motard styled machine and in fact I'm enjoying my motorcycling a lot more now days because of it.
