Hi, I am a country hick fron the sticks who occasianaly goes to town to race motorcyles by day (I've written a couple of repots up on this site) and party by night. I am (quite by chance;) ) going to Tauranga this Thursday to pick up a deer crush so I might as well make a night of it starting here!
Also I am trying to get a set of fairings and tank and stuff to the r6_kid in Auckland if any one can help us get the bits to him from Tauranga that would be most excellent.
See ya Thursday.

Well off to the garage I go to take all the fairings off the 750 and load her on to the trailer to have gearbox surgery at work tomorrow :(
I had a feeling changing the oil didnt quite solve the shifting problem I had a few months back
On the way up the Kaimais last Thursday something let go (possible bearing) and so limped on to the Navigator with a bit of clunking going on
Once again it magically fixed itself until I had been back over the Kaimais on way home then it did it again....
Will be missing the Whitianga poker run on Saturday, but on the other hand I can go to DMNTD's little shindig (*insert banjo music here*) in the car tho
Hopefully wont be too long off the road...news to hand: Fish now has his side cover back so should be up and running again by the weekend (a little heads up for ya Glen :p)
Cheers to Chris and Annette for accomodation and garage facilities and the lovely Olivia for the ride to work and back on Friday

THE NAVIGATOR HAS CLOSED DOWN!!!!
For me this is devistating... these were very good people who I have much respect and time for, they have looked after me and been supportive of all my journeys.
In saying that they have looked after us KBers as a group as well.
I think it best if we meet there and park our bikes out front as normal and go across to breakers, Straight across the road... From there we can discuss the future.
Perhaps it might be nice if we grab a box of piss for Trev and head to his place and give it to him as a thankyou and to show we appriciated him, then take the ride down to the Rose and Thistle in Papamoa, or Cornerstone in town, or somewhere....
Will see you all at Breakers and make a decision from there.

I noticed that comet yesterday, thought it was a helicopter at first... but after 5 hrs a choppa would have run outta fuel... pretty cool alright.
Now thats the sort of blonde thing I would say, and think it before I said it, ages before I said it:rolleyes:
Ok guys after talking to a few of you it seems that theres a few of us that want to try some different locations for a thursday night until we can find a site perminatly, i have a sugestion, that we meet up at the marbel bar (i think thats how its spelt?) this thursday in gate pa,
is anybody keen on that idea?
I think chris is keen on going for a ride first.
Keen to meet up wherever the crew decide, as I still dont know the place that well not qualified enough to make a pub suggestion, but,
I do know I will definately be making the most of the districts great summer evenings and getting in a bit of a ride to earn my beer:scooter: need to do that Tauranga Direct Road to Rotovagas as havent done it yet on the Api and dang its right on my doorstep
Also, anyone keen on a photoshoot on the Kaimais one day? You faster folks riding up and down with me sitting in different corners with the camera, should be able to get some interesting shots.
Hoping to start a collection of photos to submit for next years calendar.
Ok you have just become self appointed local stalking photographer:msn-wink: will be great to get some good photos posted, and we need to do a group hug at the top too:hug:

Nix the group hug but had an idea for the Tauranga crew group bike photo that might be cool.
Don't mind being behind the camera at all the rides that I am able to go on either provided you give me enough of a headstart after stops to get to a good spot.

Pfft, who said anything about posing? All you gotta do is park your bikes in a fairly close group. You don't have to be anywhere in the picture lol. And in Chris' case, probably best that he's not.:innocent:

WE SHOULD ALL TRY DIFFERENT PLACES AS THE R&T MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST PLACE FOR PEOPLE. i THINK WE SHOULD TRY MARBLE BAR THIS WEEK THEN tHE STRAND IN TGA NEXT WEEK. All the bikes parked up on the strad would be so cool. It will get people interested and might get some new members. Never know????

I'm good with trying the Strand next week if anyone else is.
Although may attract some attention from the :Police: that many bikes,
I don't know if they really care here though?. Would look cool.

Personally I'de rather it not be on the strand. Don't know about you people but I don't think I'de fair well with drunken boy racers wanting to touch my bike and shit. Not really fussed other than that aslong as the bourbons are not over priced. (or non-existant like at Breakers....)

calm down people, the decision has not been made yet and will not be made without input from everyone. as i said in my post on that poll, there's no rush to sort this out, there are a number of options available. everyones opinion is welcomed however lets try not to turn this into an argument.
lets get a bit organised about this. we will meet at the marble bar this week, that's sorted. now if anyone has any other pubs they would like to suggest then lets hear them...

Do we have to ride there? From Here? All that way? wow
Mark I dont think people were ever indicating the long term permanent choice was only going to be between Marble and R&T, the Marble simply came up as a choice to try this week only. Seems we have all that clear now though that people are keen to try say 4 or 5 places. That will take ups ummm, aaarh, carry the 1, 5 weeks? by then I think we will want to settle somewhere permanently anyway, and start to take advantage of any great deal being offer. Now Im a broke Aprilia owner I need to start watching my pennies a bit more.

Looks a bit silly with one flush mount indicator and stem mounted one you know that?
And I'm guessing integrated rear indicators? Though once again you may want to get rid of the ones on the left side of the bike lol.
Other than that I don't know. Think I've only seen your bike like 3 or 4 times man. Not enough to spot every difference.

-WL has not one but TWO cruisers (should we still let him ride with us)
