To be honest guys I'm put of from riding in groups I know this is wrong tread to talk about it, but it has being few offs on this ride to, it is noting to do with Rob and I seeing so much of it so every time someone go of road, bring lot of memory's and every time I go for ride I fear "Who is next". It was sickening filing riding beck as only 1/2 of you arrive to pub and knowing that someone mast off have accident and wondering just how bad is it and who is it . Is it just me or after riding for long time and see everything that you can see , lot of riders do get put of from riding in groups.
I even becking of from having friends bikers (some of you my notice) because I hate hospitals and funerals, even to heard specially to see some one close to me getting hurt.<_<

Starting to get that way too John , some days it's just not worth the risk of going out.So I don't anymore.Still love catching up with the guys and girls and meeting the new faces and will most likely still ride the SATNR as regularly as possible.
My advice to anyone wanting to come out with us has always been "ride your own ride" I usually take TEC and I always tell the new riders to go as slow as they like I'm not worried about anything except that they all get to our destionation and home in one piece.

Owwww! I think I'm over flying! My back is agony today.

Got a rental Hyundai Sonata for $30/day all up. Headed to Mustang Racing Technology and chatted with the MAN Scott Hoag and his wife Lisa for ages. Took a look in the workshop. looked at a couple of projects and processes then took Grants pic with them. He was like a pig in shit!

In the workshop was a brand new convertible Shelby Mustang. When we arrived the Swedish owners were there speccing it up with extra go fast stuff. In a couple of weeks it will be sent to Sweden.

I go a cool Ford GT wireless mouse with their logo on the screen and a nice Mustang Racing Technology Jacket.

Then headed out to Henry Fords; part of town. Cruised past the old Ford Family estate: massive park area surrounded by naked deciduous trees. The factory is a block away and built in brick mimicking the old style. Massive facility. It was closing by the time we go there as I got Grant to stop at a big bike shop where I bought a new Shoei helmet with bluetooth (50% off and that was off US prices!).

Off to the Detroit Motor Show tomorrow (Its called Cobo now 'cause nobody wants to say Detroit any more, even the locals told us to be very careful where we went. Should get time to go through Henry Fords' museum too but we'll see (there may be some more motorbike stuff on the way)

Bikes added are from the Hogly Museum: Vr1000 racebike and the unbelievably ugly Buell RR1000 racebike.

Oh yeah, that's me at the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago 103 floors up on one ofg the glass floored observation platforms that stick out the side of the building. It was like coming in to land but still a mile up.

Insurance have written off my bike.
so far I'm looking at the Honda Shadow (yep another cruiser) as a replacement.
Also getting some mentoring done, as my confidence got a bit of a knock after my pre=xmas fall.
Heading out to Aussie for 3 weeks to visit my daughter, so should be back on track for March.

Ive done my ride, I rode with the (SAWNR) south auckland wednesday night ride, Top group or riders, of varying ages and ability i found myself pushing it hard, lost it in a tight left hander trying to change lines, and droped it bugga, the thing was trying to get backup before I got run over.
There were bikes flying by ether side of me, tying to pick the bike up without getting hit was a challenge, and I was going well too.

It not rainning at the mo, but still not keen on wet roads.

My comment was not directed specifically at Oldguy. Unless you have not noticed the growing number of road bikes hitting the ground lately, Caseye? 250's, then a couple of cruisers, then another sportsbike, although admittedly it was only a Yamaha.

I've been less keen to come on these rides lately - I've been taken out by over-confident and under-skilled riders in the past, and am not keen to have that experience repeated.

Nice of you to come even for bit of ride, main thing is (if you come next time) do your own ride and don't try to keep up with main pack or anyone and don't look what other rider doing . They will wait for you at end of the road so no rush and don't get intimidated by group ride. If you learning this guys will have lot tips to show you, just ask , I'm still learning and I always will .

Oh, and AC/DC rocked the muthafuckin' STADIUM! :headbang: I arrived just in time for the legends in their own time to perform their greatest hits. Huge stage with four massive screens, awesome lighting and props, and, best of all, great sound! (How often can you say that about an arena concert?)

Seems real Keen all of a sudden.
Had to stay home and get the wifes bike away to the insurance assessors, not to worry looks positive so far.

I'll have to second that. BTW guys these new Michelin Power One's that I'm testing out for CycleTreads and Michelin are absolutely fantastic. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that they are the best super sport tire I have ever ridden on in my 10 years around bikes. Go see they boys at Cycle Treads or ask for Craig and he'll set you up.
