Now that is one hot pic, better than looking at Lesbians..
Yeah RIIIIGHT :bash: you've been on that Buell too long
Anyways on a serious note, thanks guys and gal, was a great nite out for a ride, and with such good company.:2thumbsup
Nice to see a few more new faces, one thing about the SATNR is we may all leave together as a group, but end up going of in different direction, but we all end up at the pub.
Be even better if it was the same pub

Cheers for the ride this week guys (and gal). Nice to know there's some suitably curvatious roads on my back doorstep since moving up from Welly.
Now I just have to hope Santa brings me some new fork internals and an Ohlins rear. It felt like I was pushing a 60's Caddilac in a Porsche race at times.
Nice to meet you III, it's always interesting meeting a KBer face to face after reading their posts for ages.
Red bikes really do go faster!

Another good ride, few more names in the memory banks!
Still working on getting everyone on the same road, got there in the end tho
Red bikes to the front today
Cheers all.
It was an awesome ride - thanks to all. I look forward to the next one but I'm sure my bike can't handle too many. The engine is almost cool to the touch now and it looks like someone took to my tyres with a sandblaster. Have a great Christmas and New Year!!

I have to admit, having only been here a fortnight I haven't got a clue where everybody leaves from. I was told the Botany Honda ride would be chilled out and learner-friendly, which suits my ability far better than caning it with the big boys, which is why I found DIN's post to be somewhat bewildering.

I would rather leave from BP Autobahn as then I don't have to cut thru city traffic. But will if i have to as found this ride & the guys on it is all good.
Suggestion, do both but maybe organise the destination here b4 the ride?

I wouldn't go to Botany myself, but since I won't be doing it any time soon anyway my personal position is moot. That said, most of the guys are from further south than Botany too so it makes little sense to meet there since there are no rides north of there.
There are pretty much two groups leaving from the Autobahn anyway - we always seem to sort ourselves into some order of desired riding speed. And I like the fact none of us know where we're going until the last minute too... for obvious reasons... :Police:

The ride that start at BP autobahn (BOP petrol station just south 2 km from Papakura offramp SH1) for more than year from my knowledge , it's learner-friendly ride on every intersection riders gather and wait for rest , they wait for me 2 , you are welcome cos it is safe ride no bins and no tickets on this ride it is not race and everyone ride they own pace , where we go we decide just before ride . Well, its been a while since I last managed to turn up to the SATNR, and I'm glad I did tonight!
Met the usual great group of bikers, talking the usual shite and comparing size of dicks!
A great turn out and somehow we managed to get past the posing and actually do a little riding...
Went on some nice twisties out Drury way to Runciman and all of a sudden the flow was stopped by a stoppage on the road!
I shall post piccies and let the interested parties explain!
I will put in little snippets of info I deem pertinent to aid and further misunderstandings! :innocent: :devil2:
Pic1 : The gathering of a ne'er do well crew of misbegotten miscreants, rancounteurs, scallywags and blaggards as ever assembled!
Pic2 : Oh noes! I has broken bike!
Pic3 : You put the little thing in the little hole to try and get the sodden thing off ...
Pic4 : Ministry of Works gathering ...
Pic5 : The farmer who helped was named Gordon, a damned fine gentleman and sounded like a real character! Blardy good chap indeed!
Pic6 : Proof that we actually made it to the Muddy Waters to have eats and drinks to finish the SATNR in style!

Sorry we missed you eat or be eaten, we left pretty much 6.00 sharp, come out on the SATNR & let the crew know, there is always some one who will look after the noobies, play TEC etc
My own fault- I pulled into a gas station in a rush, asked for directions. Of course, there being a Honda dealership for cars as well as bikes in the area didn't occur to me until I pulled into a very closed-looking car dealers
We didn't have much of ride cos of breakdown on one of the bikes R1 , but we had good time on side of the road , we don't leave no one behind . I took my 7yr old daughter with me for ride and if you do turn up next week I'm sure you be looked after.
Will be about next week for sure, it's my first day in my new job so I'll be needing some R&R!

I must confess though, I did get several rides in - to zip back home to acquire Mr Block and Mr Mallet and assorted gubbinz to try and clamp the aforementioned bike back to ride worthiness.
Not happening. Bashing and swearing and general hamfisted attempts to bodge a repair only resulted in dismal ROI!
The last four bikers to ride to the end was well met and excellent stories exchanged!
And oh yes, a special pic for a poseur provacateur ... to prove that KB is still about posing and talking rather than riding! :msn-wink:

No swearing .........I might be sober
I did mention that you were a crusty ol'biker with the ear of the Biker Gods and you must have cursed this ride tonight! :girlfight: I thought back to how you proclaimed that Gremlin was to be afflicted with rain (and by association, me as well) down on the SI trip!

That is always a problem on group rides. Ride to your own abilities. Easily said and often quoted but a darn sight harder to do in practice without a lot of willpower.

I was 2nd to last in the pack and at a very happy pace! By no means fast, I would have definitely classed it a multi-environment ride. It was the first time I had taken my new bike out on the open road (3rd ride total), going from sports positions to upright so I was taking it easy and had no complaints!
Go along mate, you'll enjoy yourself!

You won't be left behind I can guarnatee that, we enjoy our rides and we try to make sure that new riders do to.
Come along on Thursady and find out for yourself.

Caught up with jafar at the Kaiaua pub this evening.
He left before us but I don't know which way he went.
On the way back oin the Kaiau - Kawakawa road we had to stop at a Police road block. The cop said there was a motorcycle down and the road was closed.
Jafar, I hope that wasn't you or your mates.

I tried catching up with you guys tonight but left late and after taking a wrong turnoff only arrived at Autobahn at 1850. Set off hoping to catch up with you guys.Turned off at Matasomethingor other, then headed for Miranda, then kiauaua . Thought I had found you guys at Kiauaua pub , when I saw 2 cruisers, 1 orange chopper and an orange 250 Hyosung leaving. Asked the Hyosung rider if he was with the South Akld Thursday night ride to which he only replied they where heading back to Akld . I said I would head back via Kawakawa Bay and he said lots of gravel Nth of Kaiuaua and to dangerous. So I said I would follow them back.
Got tired of them riding so slow with a black Transam up my jacksie so stopped and did a U turn and went back via Kawakawa Bay,Clevedon , stopping at Whitford for dinner as I was cold and starving. The gravel just north of Kiauau was interesting in the dark. My hands froze in my summer gloves ( winter gloves returned to bike shop for warranty claim) to unfeeling stumps , combined with headlights not so good on tight corners made for an interesting ride home.
So all was not lost, got home safely, practiced some night riding. Hopefully will catch up with you guys someday.
