It is above Stars and Stripes Diner... go through the main town of the mount, at the roundabout just before it turn residential again take a left (you will see stars and stripes when you get to this round about) There is a car park on the right which can be seen from upstairs. The door in is next to stars and stripes. :)

Yea battery is sorted, since I neglected to get your address over the phone. (fairly absent minded that early in the morning and some would argue it doesn't end)

It's at GP Honda at the moment on thier trickle charger after their main one "blew up" when pluged onto my battery.

I am thuroughly cursed as far as my bike goes this week.

Well, my week old battery is fucked.

Pulkled the bat out of the Virago and jerry-rigged it to my bike to test it, lights cam on, and the bike turned over.

Hook my bat up to the Virago and it didn't even turn the lights on.

Atleast Bayride will replace it for free being under warranty still, but new battery wont be able to get there till tuesday or something.

Well, ofcourse they don't trust me when I tell them the battery is fucked (despite two other bike shopes and my own tests proving it) and then after I'm in the shop with the battery they tell me they don't have the equipment there to check for themselfs that the battery is fucked instead of telling me that over the phone.

Long story short probably another week or two before I can get this shit sorted.

So unless someone has a spare battery that wil fit in the compartment don't think I'll be able to go to Paeroa since most of you will probably want to stay the night at Spud's place for that and I have to be at work tomorrow morning.

Yea and apparetnly there is only one battery that will work in my bike.
Went to Bay Bat today to see if they had cheaper (Forman at work says they have cheap bats for anything there) but the bat for my bike is $169 from them. Same one I got from Bayride at $110.
Gonna give all the bike shops a ring and see what happens. If I find it cheaper and bayride decide not to give me another one under warrenty then I'll buy the cheaper. If I don't find one and they don't then I'll have to buy another one from them.

Hopefully, they'll just replace it no charge (heh...) and I wont have to worry about it.

lol yea just got you voice mail too. The quoted price was for a Yuasa though, may go back tomorrow and see if they can do a different brand. Not too worried about the 2 year warantee on the Yuasa as apparently that only covers faults in the battery and not anything that may happen within a certain time frame.

And yeah he was pissed, particularily considering he was in first place at the time, and then love went and binned it at the end of the main straight anyway. 4th in the robert holden and 2nd in the next bears race was a good consolation tho, nicko showed some outstanding form on sunday (he was even a good bastard and looked after our gear for us).

It seems to me as if we are losing focus of what this thread is about and the fact that we are on thin ice with being put in Pointless Drivel.

Last week we went to the Oko which is a wicked place :ride: but think we should meet somewhere in town.
Also a few of us had no idea what was going on last week! :confused: and the same is happening this week. Imagine what other people thought if they wanted to come along for the first time!

Ok maybe skip brewers then altogether a, Aj's is down Maungatupu rd off the welcome bay round about. So coming from hamilton way turn off just before the express way to the mount.
I've never been there, I believe it was one that Baby B brought up as a possibility, personally my vote goes to the Rose and Thistle.

Mate my experiance is that when ever you take a battery to a shop they're the expert and the customer doesn't know shit.
I've taken batteries in before after testing it and said it was stuffed and why and the usual response is "I doupt it's the battery" and they're saying this to an electrician??
It's usually the same when you tell them it's the rect/reg pack.

Yea wasn't gonna wait on Bayride so bought one from Smiths for $76. Think something may be wrong with my starter or idler gears now. It's doing the same thing the Virago was doing just before I had to replace those on it.

Got that kind of attitude from Bayride. I may not know much about batteries but the two other bikes shops I took it too should have known something lol.


I'm a prenail manufacturer and my promotion isn't alot more than I was already doing, just now I'm incharge of one of the jigs instead of just being a helper at one of the jigs. I'm also to start training for the supervisors position to help him at first then take over whenever he decides to leave.

yeah just talked to DMNT on msn, told me what ya doing, i did my a different route, but drilled to 5mm holes in under tray and slip leds in to those for plate.

Yep glad to see decision made on Drivers Bar. Its central to everyone (gotta say its a 25k commute to R&T), so I think more will turn up more regularly, and always keen on a ride before hand, even if in winter we are getting back in the dark, thats fine.
As for the Tuesday nites very very keen (especially if we get fed for $5!). We should make that that last Tuesday of every month, then at least we will get one in this month.
Looking forward to a 'regular' watering hole especially if its motorsport oriented, sounds spot on! I know the outdoor area isnt perfect, but A) I dont smoke so dont really care; and B) Its winter coming up so again dont really care;

Obviously some of u out there just can't make yr minds up, u know where to come then. Lol yeah man...the naked look has worn off, put em back on yesterday....also burnt out my rear tire to make room for a new one with mixed results....was sitting there doing 250kph in 5th gear on the spot and some steel belts decided to come loose and nearly destroy my tail light/tail section and chain guard.... pics to follow......................

I've got three weeks to get my starting problem sorted, a new front tyre, get my indicators working (probably the easiest to do I'm just being lazy in not having it done yet, more than likely do it today), mount air horns and get warrent and Rego done. Otherwise this trip to wellington will be very interesting.....

Though I'll be quite happy if I just get the tyre and starting thing fixed.
