At a mates industrial building which is on the track, inside of the corner at the end of the back straight :2thumbsup - you can see all down the back straight and back the other way out of the corner, with big screen TV showing the whole race. Entry is for mates and hangers on (includes some food and booze on the days), dont even need a ticket as you just get in from frankton. Give me a PM or buzz on 021348884 if anyone is keen - cant take heaps...

Well waste no time I did not. Found a house just around the corner this afternoon. Captain Tugboat (he's on the interislander as we speak) said he trusts Ive found something suitable, so will most probably do the deal tomorrow. Easy to find and has a HUGH f*&k off double garage and workshop + some basement fully wired and lit up perfect for those all day bike workshop deals and the house is big with four bedrooms. Old (gotta check out the Axminster carpet:sick:), but is in the middle of an organic kiwifruit orchid so we have: Handy to town, same area, more room, same price, rural aspect, cant ask for more really. Peta can we score some wood? It has a wood burner which I personally love in a house.

Well we have a moving date, 9th May only two weekends away. Will only need a hand for a couple of hours in the morning with the big stuff.
Drivers tonight should be both the GP, and Superbikes, we saw most of it, worth a watch. Who won? Not telling
Drivers Bar/KB annual bike ride and smorgasboard. Donna and Chris have very kindly offered to do this again for us. I suggest Sunday 24th May and for something a little different perhaps we ride out to Papamoa and go blokarting, $30 for 1/2 hour or $50 for an hour. Im sure I would spend that on a ride anyway.
Let me know what you all think this week and I will book the date with Donna & Blokarts. Should be a hoot (and no doubt some brisk competitiveness will come out on the Karts).
Finally, great to have Chris (and my bike) back home in one piece. Now we can plan a proper trip which will really need two weeks down there to do what we would like to, but we think we will wait till springtime before going.

Only slightly wounded but enough to piss you off.
Yes I dropped the Corporal! Parked up on the side of the road with the engine runn9ng it vibrated forward off the stand and fell on the kerb edge.
Bent clutch lever which I will now make into a stubby lever, dented engine case and slightly scratched, bent left side rearset but manged to bend it out with a hammer so might be ok, smashed the barend mirror off. Thats all reasonably easy fix stuff but the worst news is that the tank is dented and it has cracked the paint work. Bummer dude:angry2:
So I guess its an excuse to give it a new paint job? Maybe up grade the front end? Hang on they werent damaged!:bash:
Thats suckful news Tony, especailly since it dented the tank.
I got nailed by stones a few weeks back, broke the fairing, front guard, windscreen, tail light and radiator damage. So almost full repaint, and new parts on the way.
I love insurance

3rd May 2009, 20:54
I'm not going to bother about insurance just fix it myself. I have silconed up the cracked paint so it doesnt get wet and I have to drill out a bolt to get the rearset off which is a pain in the arse.
I know someone who could make you a cool radiator cover so it doesnt get damaged next time Mike!

No worries bro... sad you couldnt stay with us. Ride to raglan as magic from Putaruru to raglan was just the best, with a good hoon thru the final bit to raglan just enough to get the heart pumping (and lower the chicken strips a little. Yes DMNTD, im getting there!). Jake (not a KBer) on his 1098S enjoyed it, having not done a group ride before and it was fun watching (whats that guys name - crap im bad at names) carve it up passing slow harleys on his ducati 900s.ie (that is a nice bike!!, love the colour).
Raglan was full with bikes, with lots of people taking a gander at Graeme's flash new R1 with the wicked cans. Even saw a KTM RC8 there... madness.
Quick splash at the BP and the guys shot off with me to catch up... dont know which way you guys went, but i missed them at the oko by about 10mins! bugger... oh well.. caught up with a couple of other KBers there for a kaimai run for the final bit of the day.

Me best mate has gone to the other side,i would like to share this poem.
I have done mostly what men do
And pushed it out of my mind
but i can't forget,if i wanted to
Four-Feet trotting behind me.
Day after day,the whole day though
Wherever my road inclined
Four Feet said,"I am coming with you!
Now i must go by some other round
Which i shall never find
Somewhere that does not carry the sound
Of Four-feet trotting behind.
Gonna miss you buddy lots and lots
