The plan turned to shit... guys at the bike shop didnt finish until 10:30 so I ended up riding up & down the Kaimais... tyres good, havent scrubbed in the edges yet but it feels stable... had a bit of a wiggle leaving the bike shop too... hehe.
I tried to txt everyone I have numbers for yesterday re the oil spill on the Kaimais... it'll still be there today, it was vege oil and it caked like butter... cars were sliding around too and would have spread it all over the place.

As far as I know it runs from the Oko turn-off at the bottom of the hill to the look-out at the top... tanker had a major leak, he stopped and fixed it at the summit after some people stopped him.

Should be OK next week

sorry i missed the loop ride sounds like it was great, had to get new tyre on rear. went for a ride round the lakes loop to scuff it a bit. they are laying some new chip at the bridges in some areas. about 50 - 100 meters after there 100ks work ends sign there is a lot of loose chip on the road.
had a couple of sideways movements, only one across the centre line,
so take it easy in that area.:gob:

Well I just got back from a ride up through whangamata to the Kopu T intersection, roads were in fine condition, I LOVE my new tyre ... I can lean in corners again!! (well as much as I do...:p ) Must be tyre changing season, Glen just put on a new/renewed front, think this meant he only had to wait 5mins for me instead of 10! Don't think it will be to long and Jesse will have his own bike, he looked quite comfortable sitting on the 250...

You know me DD, any excuse for a drink .. I like listening to you sing Kareoke... YOU'RE A STAR!!! shame Nz Idol cut off is 27.... :rockon:

Lol, one of them preferd the pillion seat of my Virago actually but admitted she liked the speed of the Vmax. Much closer to the GSXR1000 she was used to riding on the back of some time ago.

The other, Her first pillion experiance was with me on the Vmax while I was in wellington. Didn't get to show her very good roads though as we had to stay in the city.

Hope the forcast is wrong tomorrow.

We had 13 women all signed up to play this years comp... during my 2 week stint on nights their team has turned to shit and we've lost 7 players, none want to tell me why... because of this we've also had to drop our kids team because their mums have pulled them out as well.

I've already found sponsors (that aint easy!) and paid out for gear ($500) for this team which looks like its going to fold... lucky I didnt fit-out the kids team!

It's a sad day for Tauranga womens softball with one less team playing this year... there are only about 5 teams as it is (if we're lucky)

If your a woman or know of any (dont worry J) who want to play softball this year give me a bell... we need 3 minimum but more wont hurt... no experience required.
As far as I know its only ever womens teams that dont get along with each other... WTF's with that?... we have two mens teams that get along just fine, always have... but you never know... they might bitch fight over the last lion red...

The Pirelli ride I went on was sweet.... 98 bikes in all...2 breakdowns, no bins...got a cheesy photo taken with Pirelli girls mmmmm, was talking to Andrew Stroud and Jared Love for a bit...enede up doing 560k's for the day :D

the only 'incident' was at the Waikino pub and some knob started his V-rod in get gear and knocked over some dudes demo KTM Duke doh...then he went to take off with his side-stand down til someone told him :p

Things like this I don't mind when it's a mate. I trust them not to do anything damaging to the bike. Bit like Mark and Olivia writing fag in the frost on someones windscreen (hahahaha) but if it was just some pleb on the street, makes me a bit nervouse about other things they may have loosend.

Well I knoiw what I'll be doing today since my 'second job' thing kinda fucked up this morning. Was there for an hour and nobody was willing to tell me where I needed to be or what I needed to be doing, so I just came home.

Hard to piss in the tank when you don't have the key... and even if you go in the tray around the cap, it just drains out beneath the bike.

As for the other thing, I'm gonna start carrying rubber gloves with me. Gonna be fun when you show up at work one day with your own feces spread on the windshield of your ute.:Pokey: lol

Nothing else loose just the mirror. Others that were there may want to check their bikes aswell just incase mine wasn't the only one messed with.

Well at least you didn't find anything else loose, after all it could have just been the vibs of the bike, or maybe someone did give it a yank, who knows. I know most people with bike's wouldn't do anything malicious to another bikers ride, it's just not cricket.
I go over mine from time to time and check for loose bolts.

Its a "must do" on a twin... found quite a few loose bolts, clutch and break leavers, horn, tail light... pretty much anything that hasn't got a rubber washer needs to be checked... prolly why the Virago fell apart too:cool:

Had the same problem on the m50 boulivard,
mirror went loose had to tighten it up twice.
i thought it was someone messing with my bike to.
but after it happend the 2nd time i made some enquires & it is a common problem with the vibration you get with vtns v4s etc.:calm:

well waylander also went for a ride and my mates mirror on his harley flew off at 140kms,but ya get that while riding something like that.
so you may have to get used to it.

Could have been but considering that I tightened everything up when I washed it before the oko run I doubt it. If anything was to come loose like that, I would have expected it to do so on the ride up from Chch.

But doesn't matter no harm done. I'll just keep a close eye on it when at the pub from now on.

May need a nylon nut, spring washer, lock nut etc, prolly not the original nut on there anyway, see the people at Bayride they will sort you out.
