glad I didn't go west, just about to give up and go home, when a couple turned up I hadn't seen in a long while. so the 3 of us, me, myself and I, headed off on a nice little ride out to Hunua, Clevedon, and over the hill to Manukau. bloody dark out them back roads now, glad I put the clear visor on. anywhoo thanks to myself and I for coming along otherwise I would have been out there on me own.

Usually 2 - 8 or so and the speed is entirely up to the individual riders, theres no pressure to go fast or slow , the front runners wait at specific points until all have arrived before going further, works really well.

You are not the first one to be lost within the frist few minutes and I'm sure you won't be the last, while every effort is made to keep the group together, on occassions (particularly when it's dark) we do lose people , normally only till they catch up at the next major intersection , where everyone else is waiting.

For new once to this ride , with out you and Coseye, this ride is just mess with out communication . If is just as regulars it is OK but if new rider come along we need to talk to them and let them know what is happening:argue:. If not that will put them off from coming again.

I had my throtle wide open and my emission control unplugged and the lights in front of me only got dimmer (must of been in reverse). I know i can keep up because one thing you guys do is wait at intersections for the likes of us.

No criteria other than a motorcycle a helmet and the right attitude, we meet at the BP on the Southern motorway at Papakura by about 6pm for a 6.30 pm start, we ride fro about an hour or so then we stop for a yarn and a cuppa tea b 4 going our seperate ways home.
We tell everyone where we are going and the quicker guys and girls wait at major intersectiosn for us slow coaches on coal burners.

There were quite a few offs that weekend. The cold blacktop tends to catch people out and it's not pretty. :( When I got to Puke at a bit after 2pm there was someone else being loaded into an ambulance. Good thing it's the end of the season now considering the rapidly degrading weather conditions!

AMCC do a really great job of making the days as safe as poss.....Unfortunately though it is a risk of the sport - I guess just like any sport. I'm blown away, theres usually so much hot air after one of our rides you could fill a Hellium balloon with it.
Great to see Thani-B and monkeymsea there last night, well ridden you two, nice lines and good road positioning.
Well it was cold but hey it was also perfect weather and the roads were relatively quiet, another great SATNR ride, cheers Jafar.

I'm fine, I just kept it wound back to <110km/h on the return trip. :Police: I suspect I'll have to make this a regular event on Thursday nights! Much fun to be had, meeting new people is always good too.
