So I went up the Apaiti loop, had a ball:Punk:(all be by myself be a cool looking loner), <_<great road and it took 55 min from pub to pub (beens Murrays in feilding).
So anyway after a few texts to find all I went home for a beer and some wife time:love: Nite all:niceone:

Turned out a great night, after forecast saying showers in arvo,so went to speedway instead, man some wicked stoppies last night, and general carnage, and a mate missed the finals by 3 bloody points, would've been interesting if he qualified, but such is life.
Best part is a few paybacks tonight in consolation races tonight,so if ya got a spare $25 head along, best in the land racing, ahh to be a hoon on track.

Yeah even sound great at the front of all those twins. On the way home I had to pull over to hear BR's and Flynns bikes from the back to see just how good they are.
Something in the air like a song.............................................. .......:mega::ride:
The hills are alive with the sound of V-Twins
With songs they have sung for a thousand years
The hills fill my heart with the sound of V-Twins
My heart wants to sing every song it hears
My heart wants to beat like the wings of the birds
that rise from the lake to the trees
My heart wants to sigh like a chime that flies
from a church on a breeze
To laugh like a brook when it trips and falls over
stones on its way
To sing through the night like a lark who is learning to pray
I go to the hills when my heart is lonely
I know I will hear what I've heard before
My heart will be blessed with the sound of V Twins

Shit yeah, had to measure a job in Waipukurau,so ask boss I 'll do it on way home, say to him I'll leave about 3.45 ish, leave about 4.15 and man it was thunder and rain.Rain stopped just out of Hastings, and fine till Waipuk, quick measure and away, then showers and rain off and on.On the plus side I was doing 103km in traffic and a nice invoice giver cruised passed. My as new Alpinestar ST2 gloves are good even though soaked they kept fingers warm,my boots for el cheapos are friggin waterproof, and my tyres are good.Down side was my measurements are barely legible, but have scale ruler to measure floor plan.

I rocked up to the Ashhurst Inn and was a little dismayed to find we had been relagated to the back of the establishment :oi-grr:
Unfortunatly the owner has made it far too comfortable out the front now with the plastic screens so now every man and his dog wants to sit with the cool crowd. Didnt they see the motorcyles on the sign :bash:
I had a chat to the said owner, told him if it happens again we would steal his plastic screens and reclaim our rightful seating arrangments, he suggested putting bollards in the front carpark just wide enough to get our bikes through, yes even the concours.
Anywho, i didnt ride last night as i had an opening celebration for Fowler homes to attend but was very impressed and a little stunned to see how early everyone got back.
Great to see Dogs and Melisa out and about and the Daytona is looking very splendid after all the attention and folding stuff thrown at it...

Ok, so it's been a few days now and everyone has been nice and quiet, so it's time to spill...
I turfed my little red bike down the road after the Friday nite ride. No, it hadn't been naughty and didn't deserve it but I did it anyway...
Basically I took off from the pub on the back wheel, landed it and then when braking for the corner the front went out from under me on some slippery/hot tar (I actually thought at first that it was metal on the road but Sonic went back and saw a skid in the tar).
I landed reasonably hard and got to watch the bike sliding away down the road as I chased it on my butt. No significant injuries to me although my mouse thumb is still annoyingly sore and there's still a bit of a bruise on my thigh. I was wearing my Spidi pants over shorts and my crappy old Nasran jacket. Both saved my skin but are pretty 2nd hand - any offers?
The bike is a little worse for wear - see below.
Big thanks to Sonic for racing over to see if I was ok and a huge thanks to Meanie and Sarge for helping me get the red beast home! :niceone:

Heh, that's coz Triumph parts are obscenely expensive.... Mind you Honda parts are'nt exactly cheap either truth be told. I guess taking into account the tank being damaged it's possible they might write it off, if the tank was clean i'd say they repair the bike but it's hard to say, I guess it all comes down to the cost of the damage.

Doesn't it also take just the smallest of dings on the frame to become a write off?

Hmm, did'nt notice any dent in the frame.... Depends on how big it is and where it I reckon but that's only guessing, you might be correct, any dent may perhaps render it un-warrant of fitnessable.

Got a plan given decent weather, out east. I've also noticed that the Black Stump has'nt been open the past few times i've been through Pahiatua so maybe it's no longer a refreshment destination...

It's a pearler alright isn't it. We outran the storms very nicely, the track would have been submerged by the looks of things in that direction.

I wondered what the hell was going on there Andrew. Came around that bend and the whole bike got very nervous. I thought I'd blown the back tyre which is why I stopped. Very cleverly concealed roadworks weren't they?

That pretty hard case I must say, looks as if it's genuine leather too, might be a touch roomy for a new born though, still plenty of time to grow into it..
