totally know that feeling for sure .. totally frustrating sighss
Me too, the 6 weeks when I was back from Auz and waiting for SK1PY were hell. Had to hire a Hornet in the end  and that was an expensive day out but worth it :ride:
Tell me about it, I am getting ready to lose my cool, then they will get their act together. Still has to go thru compliance once it has been painted. I thought that had been done but NO.
Then again if I dont  they might go even slower.
Just wish I could be out riding on these beautiful nights, getting some km's under my belt
I am lucky to be able to get out in the evenings but the slipping clutch and delay on parts (4 weeks) is going to keep me of the FH ride :crybaby:
I am ready to go, is it friday yet????
It surely is :ride: counting down the hours!!!!
6.15 at Ashhurst Mobil station
Will see you there

Putting washers under the clutch springs should stop this.

Damnit! I can't believe I binned the bike on some damn grass. Now I'll just HAVE to fit up some new TYGA fairings to replace the shamefully damaged stuff.

I don't have to make smart comments about Cowboyz bike as it creates enough attention on its own.

Had a great ride this evening.. Kaz enjoyed herself except for a little moment heading over the track and no it wasn't the gravel. I got a little gear happy and chopped down 1 to many and founds us sideways. On the gas hard to keep it there and stop the dreaded bite and we were straight again.. Very lucky!!!
The gravel came out of nowhere even thought there was signs warning us ahahaha.. !!Note to self, pay more attention dip shit!!!
Pitty about the bike Si, at least it was low speed on the grass and not high speed the road though

23rd November 2007, 21:12
great ride. So pleased Mrs Cowboyz decided to come 2up. Really good roads. I should have known better to be doing the highly irresponible speeds of 116kph on a main road. At least Mr Police took pity on me and let me off. It was a little ironic that everyone behind me was going faster than I was and I end up being pulled over. If Police had decided to book me that would have been my licence so escaped a close one there.
Made up for it with good hot chocolate and chat at piahatua and then a run over the track.

That was a bummer alright Sly! Lucky you were at low velocity at the time. Poor old fairings too, leaving little bits of them behind like that :shit:

That gravel on the track just had to be the most irresponsible piece of roadworks ever! Why can't they sweep up after themselves! It'll be there for months now!

agreed. those road works were shocking. I just couldnt read the road at all. Even when on the gravel I couldnt see it. It was just a thin coating of shingle in 2 lanes down the road. Bonez got very sideways on it in a move that a less experienced rider would be pulling thier bike out of the ditch. Didnt help the car that we followed through it was throwing all the stones at us either.

Yes , it was a good wee squirt and I always enjoy the chance to brush up my dirt biking skills on the gravel(Tui moment).
It was shit signage and all, but thats NZ roads for you- dont go round a corner expecting a decent exit as a matter of course.
Bummer about the fairings Sly, at least you didnt maim yourself and the bike too seriously. Must've been the salt and grease from the chips on the ground eh?
Bet the Cowboyz family is feeling the luck just now :D

Yeah, another good friday night ride.
Was feeling like it was past my bedtime but going through the gorge my concentration felt fine so I thought "well seen as i'm here it would be rude not to" and I felt pretty good all the way home.
I dont know know what happened to Barry on the ZX14 as he said he would follow me through the back way to Oringi, got on the bike after leaving The Black stump and he disapeared, did a couple of laps of Pahiatua but I could'nt see him anywhere so I legged it expecting to see him on the road at the turn off but no....if I left without ya sorry dude....
Anyways, you guys doing the FH ride on sunday...Have a good one and we are all expecting heaps of photo's sunday night/monday.
Edit: Hey Barry if you want a hand with the fairings on your bike when you put that radiator guard on just giz a yell. Same goes for you too Meanie, fairings are a pain in the arse and are so much easyier with a second person.

Yeah I should have not been my vague self and specified that I meant the big bridge between Mangatinoka and Woodville...my bad!

Don't like to get close to Ducatis' as they tend to put ideas into my head, bank manager don't like them ideas.Plus all I saw was red blur as you went passed, and almost sounded as good as my xb 302 with (aussie can't think of name)headers $600(20yr ago)and twin pipes with cortina mufflers(2)and wildcat resonators.Very nice sound until you got over 4500rpm,even better at 6500 rpm in 2nd,only on car club sprints mind you.

They are WOF friendly... This one was on a bike in the bike shop with a WOF... Customers are sometimes put off thinking there is something wrong with the clutch because of the noise... A deal was struck with me handing over my old cover and them handing over their new cover and a few green bottles throwen in for good measure..

Don't you mean DB? Ducati Bling. Carbon Fibre is to Ducatis what chrome is to Harleys but you dont get blinded.
Yeah I have found that there is alot of CF for these things...
Have just removed the clutch so I can paint the pressure plate and maybe polish the springs and caps.. Haven't decided but now that it can be seen, might aswell bling it up aye.....

if you held the throttle constant esp in 6th gear it would slowly slow so always needed to keep throttle just slightly on to keep it up in the same rpm band .. now can just hold constant even tonite had her about 7.5 rpm & no losing power

Hell even I finished at 5.30 tonight, but I had an excuse, was filling up our work truck, and thought it would go better with 91 in it.Put about 27ltrs in and thought the farkin handles green not black.Drained out about 50ltrs diesel/petrol mix through the sump in tank (3/8 hole),refilled with most ever put into tanks and $145 for diesel$47 for petrol.Boss saw funny side as he'd done it,and last week a trucky put 91 in one tank and diesel in other, but put nearly 150 lts plus in.Benefits of using a servo which has diesel and petrol pumps in group of three, and no dedicated large hose diesel for trucks.Methinks a shout is in order for morning tea tommorrow.:oi-grr::stupid:

Yep,put the nozzle in the bloody tank, walked to passengers side to get the fuel card out of glovebox, and went to the pump. Then saw the green handle.Lucky the servo has a garage on premises,so a drum and spanner was at hand, took two of us to carry the mix away, put it this way we hoped no clown would throw a butt in our direction.Thought the tanks held 50 ltrs each but put in 120 and still a bit of room, just as well the tanks were only holding about 15-20 ltrs, gauge showed empty, nice to know we have a bit in reserve.
Iwas more pissed than him(boss)never put more than $110 at about $1.20ltr,so when it hit nearly $150 realised it was really empty, let alone the other $45 for petrol so $195 or so is my record filling total.

It will generate enough heat to evaporte any moisture that gets in there, plus she lives in the shed so not out in the rain... Just have to remember that if I been inthe wet to not pull her into the shed and shut her off right away, let idle to dry out the clutch...

Got a new Pilot Road 2 on the front of the Trumpy yesterday, just seemed to need it  Bloody marvelous tyre, handles like a dream now!
Don't be sorry mate, I'm the one who cant pay attention...
Sweet, hope the PR2 lasts a bit longer than the PP2.
The Continental Sport attack seems good so far, will make up my mind when I get a front one on for a matched set. Will have to be bloody good to better the PP2 front.

But for wait for it $9.95 I have the thing for you.I got sick of the bike alarm remote swinging about whilst riding and put a dab of double sided velcro(stick on)onto back of remote and under the keyhole, push the remote onto velcro, stops the remote moving, should work for key fob, send cash, cheque or cash to me.This is a paid advertisement from 69 enterprises head office in Routar, zip code 181.

Had a very enjoyable ride out there and back. Stopped at Ashhurst servo on the way back and was involved in an audacious petrol theft and high speed chase. Some guy drove off without paying for gas so Kev (Wildhog) got me to chase em on the Trumpy. Since they had a minute or so head start I finally caught up and got the rego. Glad there were no :Police: about while I was doing my thing

So what is happening this Friday? There is a xmas thing going on at esplanarde between 730-9 which could be quite good to rock up to. Suggest saddle/balance/track and then attending the festival but if no one else is coming then we might go do something else first. We have a housewarming to go to later in the evening so fairly busy night.

Could see a tui moment coming if the cops nabbed ya,yes sir I was chasing the servo runners.
Great sense of community spirit, had a similar thing years ago,mum had a byo restaurant which was next to a pub, some youths jumped the counter grabbed at least 3 bottles of rum,and were running out the door as 3 of us walked in,the publican was just yelling at them, mate chased them, they dropped 2 bottles, the cops caught them around about 10 mins later.Mate came back with the bottles unbroken, publican was happy,he also was major sponsor for our soccer club, did he shout mate a beer, yeah right.Talk about double standards, drink at his place, save him $40 and get to pay for drinks,we were major supporters of his pub during winter, never had a free drink shouted for us,and he played for NZ.

Bloody good bbq Al and Sarah, shame about the lack of sleep, man awseome food prepared by the ladies.Same time next week?
Memo to self when bbq doesn't heat up check the bottle:angry2:.No wonder brunch took ages to cook, and hot plate too heat.
Hope the bbq is clean enough Jonno, tried scraping it after this mornings' cook up.Forgot to wipe it with paper towell to get excess fat off it.

Al is only guy Janine knows who can sleep or snore on toilet,a feat we should all aspire to be able to do,but then gravity kicked in and splat, mind you was after 4 hours sleep.Ah well thanks for the great time guys and gals, brilliant bunch of bikers, epitome of kb.:scooter:

Gidday! I'm back from the dead (again). The old girl (bike that is) has been around the place. Just got back from a quick jet to Hamilton, suicide run through Auckland rush hour traffic to get to cycle treads before they closed to get a new tyre, back roads to Taupo, over to Napier, quick chat to the fuzz (and -$120 later) down route 52 and in to Dannevirke and home! Phew, I needed that.
Discovered a leak in the petrol tank. Think I have fixed now with some primo liquid metal stuff, but keen to take it out for a test run tomorrow. So I WILL BE GOING on the friday night ride.
Happy to organise a route, just don't ask me now I will probably make it up 5 mins before we leave. Anyone else welcome but if it's just me and v8 that's all good.
As for starting point, since all the Ashhurst crew are piking, we will meet in Palmy eh, how about BP on Rangitikei at six? Let me know if any probs.

was thinking of taking me dad to the jetsprints on the 27th - he used to race 'em back in 19-fark-knows.....
whats the deal with them? just turn up, bowl in? got food? ticket cost?
edit: decided not to be a lazy mofo:
$15 entry or you can get a $35 combo ticket for both the bikes and boats
