A crap days riding is better than a good day at work. The weather gods pissed around, but still a good experiance riding in all sorts of conditions.
We need a quieter pub lol,so we can get to the bar faster, much fun and if this is a crappy weather turnout, wtf when it is fine,no wind, and a good road to boot, the reason to shift here is vindicated, was envious last year reading the rides etc, great to be here enjoying them.

As far as I'm concerned age stops at 49. Jumping out of a perfectly good plan scares the *#%) out of me. Now bungying I could handle. I'm still building up to ride in the crap weather at night.
What about Feilding riders meet as a group next Friday then head out. There are some more newbies interested.

Went straight to pram airport to see about jumpin (didn't realise they'd stopped it at that field years ago) and got talking to this young bloke who said have ya ever tried aerobatics ? lol like nah (took him an hour to get my lips poking out the quaterlight) wasn't the g's or loopdiloops that got me, was when he took me inland and did some top dressin (was the field he was gonna get into) Green i went !

Just a side note Dogsnbikes binned on his way home last night. He and Phoebe are ok. He dropped it about a k from his place and managed to get the bike home, then drove themselves to hospital. Heard from him this morning about 5.45 just as they were relaesed. No broken bones, just very tender. Ill pop out and see him tonight or tomorrow morning to see how he is
Gutted no doubt as i think the bike came off second best

Bikes not too bad, right side fairing scratched up with a few cracks, repairable, broken gear lever and a hole in the side cover on the motor, the cover is only for looks so the bike is still rideable
He lost the front wheel in some pea metal on a right handed corner, woulndt have seen it in the dark. Looks like the gear took most of the punishment so he'll be shopping for new riding suit and helmets

Bloody good turn out considering the weather
Just a side note Dogsnbikes binned on his way home last night. He and Phoebe are ok. He dropped it about a k from his place and managed to get the bike home, then drove themselves to hospital. Heard from him this morning about 5.45 just as they were relaesed. No broken bones, just very tender. Ill pop out and see him tonight or tomorrow morning to see how he is
Gutted no doubt as i think the bike came off second best
Well Guys the bike is looking better and better each day, parts were at anza today and drop farings off to painter for priming pick up tomorrow, had wheel alingment done today and kerry cheak frame and suspension front and rear as well everything is striaght as....bless his little heart for riding from opunake in the rain to work on the bike....So now we are just waiting on the riding gear to be sort with insurance company

Friday Night Ride Review 10 October 08
An awesome ride. fantastic atmosphere. You guys blew me away, both literally and Metaphorically. Keep the system running.
26 Bikes at my count, terrific work at corners etc. Nice route through the windys with a blat down the straight towards the end.
I enjoyed being able to ride at a comfortable pace on an unfamiliar road.
Great social time At Murray's.
An A+ result Meanie. Thanks :done:

Blaardy primo ride tonight. 30 odd bikes, ideal evening, no one trying to prove a point. Stopped in to Dogs and Phebs to lower the 995i off the "workbentch" then on to Apiti though to Feilding for a natter at Murrys Irish Bar. Publican even threw in a couple of plates of fodder for the riders.
Well done all.

Good ride, 14 riders. A few who hadn't been on a ride with us before. One Lass new to riding on a Scorpion 225. A good evening for her. A bit of wind, sun strike, riding in the dark and a few roads she'd never travel on. Good on ya!! :niceone: She had the company of Karmen and Monamie so she would'nt feel left alone. John led the faster riders along the route.
Basic route was Gorge, Balance, left to Pahiatua to the though Mangamire on towards Eketahua and looped back around to Pahiatua for a natter, refreshments and nibbles at the Black Stump. Looks like the staff are beginning to get use to the idea of us popping in now  Most of us decidied to go via the gorge home and pop into Meanies to see how Monie was doing. The usual suspects where there and lots of giggles where to be had. Arrangements where made to pick up the new Bonezmobile on Sunday. The cake was yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
See ya all on the next one.

Te Manawa is the name of the local museum here is Palmy.
Rod Coleman was once in the NZ team for Isle of Mann, many moons ago (ok just google it like I did hehe)
They are putting on a 6 month exhibit called 'Motorcycles Unleashed' a century of competition bike
