I guess that means im the only un-cool one then. one other person (grey/primer SV) turned up a little after me but didn't hang around for long. i gave up waiting at 6.30. went to woodvile where i almost got hit by a bus, then to pahiatua and back down the track to palmy, then spent an unsuccessful 20 minutes going around in circles hunting a tag. over all not a bad Friday night ride. apart from the constant drizzle

VTR is at 3,500 and only got to open the taps and she's off. Connie is at 2,900 and it'll pull away in 6th but better if ya drop a cog if you want to make tracks...

You are the exact reason, I believe this ride was started, of course you should come along, if you are prepared at ride at a pace you CAN handle and not try to keep up! there should always be a competent TE charlie who knows where the ride is going to get you there:yes:

I can tell you now, it is the ride I first went on and there were great people who looked out for me and made sure I was safe and never left behind, I not going to drop names because they know who they are.

And I have only been riding about 2-3 years, now done about 25000km on bikes, all due to the great start and company from friends I've make through KB.

yeh, a few times i've done it before we went up the highway, and sometimes a back road for the first bit too? Some fancy-pants should hook us up with a google maps plan I reckon.

Hmmm gutted, everything else seem to be more within spec, so if a new RR didn't fix it, I dunno. Is it still doing a really slow rise on the volts when you give it some rpm? Could try hooking up my spare battery (won't fit in, but should be able to wire it in) and see if it has the same problem.

Fuckin'ell though, there is a lot of parts markup on that shit. I know the shorai aren't as strong starting from cold, but a bike shouldn't blow a sprag clutch just from weak turnover.

Yeh V hill and back a way I can't remember doing before but enjoyed. Road was fucking bumpy, but not a lot of gravel etc on them, so pretty good.

As for Mel and I we had a great ride from Wanganui through too Hunterville via fordell,yes the back road is a must doo when in the area and as I mentioned to Al on departure FNR was the last ride Al and I did on the last FNR....As for BR's request maybe thre is room for a gravel section..how does the Apiti loop via Utuwai,twin gorges, Mangaweke's sound ??:shutup:
