Actually went out with the new camera attached to my jacket before. Had a mint run over the track but should've wiped the memory card before I left...

They call it the fast group for Kawasakis riders but its actually the same as the medium group at any Suzuki trackday.
See you there my favourite Quack rider.

Hope this is painting up some trackday fairings for the GSXR for saturday and not something else!
Thinking people may have to camp at the gate overnight to get a spot if its anything like last years!

You may want fuel in Masterton before you head to Castlepoint. Would be better to leave earlier and lunch at Castlepoint.

 it was stunning day to be out on the bike .. hmm and the highlight was .......... ohh yeah :blip: down the post further
had a few flyers to distribute and a few hours kinda spare so met up with Al & Mo in shannon & a wee lunch (after already dropping off 3 big flyers and a heap to the harley riders from welly who happened to pull up seconds after I did .. and one from Napier  ) so discussion about where to head to next .. sorted ..
Somehow the convo turned to swapping bikes so I could ride the gold one .. sweetttttttttttttttttt was the first "other " person to ride it when i was on learners and had not been on her since (that will be rectified in future) with murmurings of take her easy on the corners (something about shagged tyre) we were off .. n yes fairly quiet on the corners ... but the straights were another story  after topping license losing speed .. & Al keeping pace on the bandit (while showing Mo how fast I was going .. could not resist to twist the wrist a bit more :wari: ) was this the highlight?? ... :nono: it was up there though
flyer out to simply balmy n off to sparky's a ton of bikes there so flyers are being delivered to kapiti, woodville n a heap of postive "yup in for this" :niceone: Band playing & really good atmosphere .. always like sparky's .. it really does not matter what kind of bike you ride ... had good catch up with Rabbi and oops look at the time .. off to Palmy .. errrr thank gawd no cops out that way either :sweatdrop .. was this the highlight .. :nono:
hmm in palmy stopped at Rex's .. sweet poster already up .. time to head to square, seemed to hit a few red lights .. and whats a girl to do when your on a bike with really good torque .. ohh yeah drag off from lights against the daytona .. Yes Al was two up but hey that generally does not worry him .. however the count BB is two outta two  .. yes that was the highlight   ... darn funny, geeezzz I  my bike

Just had a good run over to Masterton and got back now. First half of the track was fms, second half wet, get rained on while riding over it. Stopped in Pahiatua BP for fuel, I'm in the shop and hear a howling and screeching of car tyre on ashphalt, look out side and see a car skidding through an intersection to stop 300mm from a powerpole, the shop attendants say to each other, ha that's just Carol, I say who is Carol, they say a lady who lives in the flats beside the shop, one of the customers says, shit she's probably had a few, she's been picked up twice before for drunk driving, I think shit, I went across that intersection 2 minutes before she went skidding through it!!!!!! Random as!!!!
Pootling on, get almost to Masterton doing 110-120km then a dick in a honda accord car passes me does 140 so I think oh, o.k. I'll play the game, keep up, he gets the shits and pulls over slows down to 80 and lets me go, dork.
To those going to Castlepoint, there is heaps of new seal on SHW2, I suggest stay off shw2 is a good idea. Gets one a little worried about ya rubberband,

bugger on the rain .. only a few spits coming back from horses, other than that very awesome day to be out on the bike. Fark gives ya the shits aye when you realise there are ppl driving who should be no where near the road .. buy a lotto ticket dude ..
as for the other dick, yeah a few to many of them on the road as well ... had one other week passed him & must have pissed him off so he sits a foot off my rear tyre, so flicked the wrist, passed a few cars & settled into the que .. two mins later he passed the cars (dangerously) n again sat a foot off my arse .. so thought fark this , :blip: open the throttle passed a heap of cars & just kept going .. just did not want to be anywhere near him ..

What a fab weekend
Horse and I tootled the two Triumphs to Auckland for a party via Awakino and Coro loop :ride: 1500k and barely a touch of drizzle the whole time :sunny:
Here are the highlights :2thumbsup:
Bright n early start to work and then on to Opunake for the beast and I to get some TLC from our favourite Triumph guru.
Nice to see an old friend there looking gorgeous and nearly ready for the off. Now HNKLY and DYTN4 have the same fix  Dogs will be amazed at the difference, I sure have been :2thumbsup:
The RCKT sounded amazing with the supercharger too!!!
Sad to hear that the funeral Kerry had attened the day previously had been none other than my fellow Daytona rider on the Rat Raid. We had enjoyed a rum and a good long chat at the Phonga hotel that day and had planned to get in some riding together in the summer. Now he will always be with me when I ride the Taranaki and in particular the FH for sure.
Once the beast was gleaming and ready to go I pootled to NP in the gale and scrubbed in the tyres and the new brake pads. Relaxed in the sunshine and had some refreshments as I waited for Horse.
We haddinner at Portifino in Gill street (I was spoilt for choice, highly recommended).
Run over Mount messenger in a still bright evening was perfect and meant we could wake to the waves at Seaview in Mokau the next morning.
Awakino gorge first thing :2thumbsup: worked up an appetite for brekkie at the Fat Pigeon in PioPio (sound like a gastronomic tour but these were good enough to mention). Saw the now filled pothole that provided some entertainment on the White Ribbon Ride and missed it this time......
Thames for lunch and the clouds kept moving out of our way as we rode north :sunny:
Moderate blast around the Coromandel, mindful that I had a party that I didn't want to miss
Not much traffic apart from other riders with similar good plan :ride:
Beast growled in appreciation of the roads and in frustration at the moderation
Has been on the to do list for a while, I am glad I waited until I could ride well enough to really appreciate it. Back to ride in the late evening or early morning and on a dry winter day to really test it out.
Would make an awesome road race site!!!
Arrived at Mrs Bass 50th in bright sunshine and rapidly had a rum in hand so what more could I want.
Great night, even got a short video of Nimbus MKV on YouTube for a laugh.
They were fab, wopuld go see them again if they were playing anywhere I was, even tho Bass isn't playing bass anymore.
Met Ducatijim and talked lots about exciting roads travelled, some that the beast could do (gravel included) and some that I would find a challenge  Lots of plans afoot now, need more weekends.
Danced my shoes off and sat up talking bikes and stuff until early, as one should.
Brunch set us up for the ride home and we enjoyed Ducatijim's company until Taupo. He and Bass have definately got me thinking off road again, bad boys.
Flat on the desert road was timely, just fixed and our only real wet patch. Thanks to Kwaka rider who stopped to offer assistance as he did up some zips. Thanks to Horse for posting me on Facebook whilst I was on my knees fixing it.
As an aside 6 x16G co2 bottles to get 33psi in a Daytona tyre!!!!
Home by 8pm with that satisfied relaxed, just had a fab weekend feeling. Set me up just nice for the Patriots and SupaMaori Fullas to Taupo next weekend.
Sounds like it will be a good one so if any of you Manawatu Patriots haven't signed up, get it sorted.
We shall be farewelling Nixy for a few months and that shouldn't be missed.
Somebody enjoys an 86Vespa every now and then

Man there must be something in the air for dorks lately, I was going down limbrick st in our truck heading towards town, when I saw a bus up ahead turning right. So Iam thinking ok turn left to go to town when out of the blue a white old holden commador came round the corner and smashed into the side of the bus. Then backed up and speed off down past me, looking more like a mini down well over 50 in a very short time.
All I could think was if we had left home 1 min earlier then that would have been us and not the bus. Things could have turned out alot different as the speed and angle he hit, man that would have been the front door and passager door been my oldest girl.:oi-grr: Man oh man really makes ya think.:( Have no idea where the holden went but gave the bus driver the reg and discription of the car and man driving. I do hope they get him:mad:

Roads are wet and don't look like drying out anytime soon as at the moment there is'nt much heat around. I won't be going to CP but I might see how things are looking mid to later morning as fine periods were forecast for the Manawatu, might venture to Palmy on the bike but that'll be as far as I go, have a good ride if you go Yod, mind that rear tyre on the wet roads eh...

left at 11, back by half 2, just shows ya how much distance you can cover when you're by yourself
had a moment ripping round a blind left hand sweeper....met a guy on a horse in the middle of the road....looked like he was on the sauce lol....ffs! then got chased by some boy racer north of Mauriceville....now THAT was fun!

Awesome days hooning on the track and nothing broken! Maria had a blast and from the sounds of it (she hasn't shut up about bikes and trackdays yet!) shes fully hooked! She's changed her opinion on the 675 too and its back on her list of new bike candidates along with the CBR and the R6.
Well down Lance, you soundly beat me, and in the S's as well, so it had nothing to do with bikes and everything to do with skill and balls. My wheelies were better though...
The 675's in for its 20K service and some massaging then up for sale before the OZ move so after daylight savings is done, so am I with riding in NZ. Maria's heading over end of this week, so thanks from the both of us for the fun times and keep it rubber side up.
We'll keep you all up to date on what we're up to on 2 wheels over in OZ, California and Brazil. Catch you all at the GP and WSKB at Phillip Island perhaps!

Now beacause its the end of my weekend my ride today goes in here :bleh:
Simple plan today, thought I would go for a ride up the Para's to feilds track intersection simple as "yeah right"
firstly I come of the Dublin street bridge going left bloody cheak point"foook!!" well the wof is ok but the rego oh hum,the copper looks at it and ask is it 10 of the 11 meaning what year is it as he can't see the year just the day and the month 03/09/ its a 10:innocent:,who has 18months rego FFS??
Right time to get the tyers warmed up before a hit the good stuff...just get through Upok and there is bloody road works, resealing Oh why not its a bloody hot day there is more tar than there is chip (think they forgot to buy that) so of course not only is the bike sliding like fuk its getting covered in tar:no:
time too warm those tyers up again, start climbing the hill,oh bloody road works, except I think this lot got the chip the others were meant to get,now considering I had so much tar on the bike from the first bit of works meant that the chip from this bit of works had something to stick too:mad:and this section was over 5ks
once I was through that sweet lets go for it Oh but wait there is more road works,oh hangon here is some more...oh look at that even more well I lost count after 6 but yes there was more so that really sums up my ride today, was great to get out on the bike but the paras was a bad bad choice, but will be a great road when its all finished if thats ever possible
Well the bike is all clean now.....and at least this moring I got to take Norman out through brunswick road nice set of twisties there and norman loves them:laugh:

Poker Run, Eketahuna This Sat 6th - is the motorcycle poker run, put on by the Eketahuna Ullysses Club.
Register from 9am, depart @ 10am from The Eketahuna Club on Herbert Street (hang a right as soon as you get to town from the South, as though you were going to
Alfredton, and the Club is just there on Herbert Street). Entry is $10 which includes a BBQ lunch. Spot prizes on the day. A 2 course evening meal is available for $15pp.
This could be quite a bit of fun, and is probably suitable for the smaller/trail bikes? All on sealed roads I believe.
Post Courtesy of Radar. Thanks. Anyone keen?

Had an inkling another ride was organised but can't remember it,nah F/H is fun with tractors(not hogs)4x4 which actually do go offroad, worst is the blind bends (left hand heading to Stratty)and a bloody horse being ridden, luckily rider was hard up against the bank.
Just have to respect the road for what it is,a bloody provincial highway in a rural area requiring care, and is to enjoy, which ya can't do at race speeds.

It was nice to meet up with a couple of Riders for coffe and grub at Feilding. New cafe is mint.
3D and I headed east, passing the three [stooges (sic)] graceful and courteous, debonair, gentlemen riders on a magnificent pot pouri of motorcycles, who without presumption waited graciously, whilst obeying the road rules at a one way bridge on Colyton Road.
Then off to do the Saddle, back roads to Dannevirke, Weber, Pongaroa and home. Heaps of loose asphalt around Pongaroa, just scattered and left. A bit dicey in a couple of places.
A great day out. Now to get the pillion out tomorrow.

mint day out today.
managed to get a few hours sleep this morning before meeting sarge and Yod at the usual at 10am. I think we left before 11.. might be a close call. fun watching the Yodmeister pushing the 9 though. damn batteries!
Headed off towards Feilding and picked up our token Triumph rider along the way before heading out Kimbolton and following NZSarge through to Mangaweka. Magic magic piece of road. Just mint chasing the 14 at a really nice pace. Paused in Pembeton because we realised we had ridden more then 40km without talking shit so an extended stop before pootling up to SH1 and down to Ohingaiti for a drink.

Hmmmm yes! I think a Forgotton Highway group ride NEEDS to be planned!
.
Yep, it's about time to put on the thinking cap and organise a decent ride. Easter may be a good time, and maybe something before that too........Very keen on the Waioeka gorge again. That may have to be an overnighter tho, that way we could squeeze in the east cape while we're there...........[/QUOTE]
Bump, just to keep this idea to the for front of peoples minds.

no money this weekend for the Apiti ride. Got plenty of fuel and a Fuel card but no cash until monthly payday next week, so I'll skip the charity ride and do the hills instead.
Whats the PMCC Track day and the other track day mentioned?

Both at Taupo. Mottott is on Friday. The Pacific track day is only $50.00 which is on Saturday. Racing on the sunday. Hamptondowns trackday is on Monday.
