Wish him good luck from us Sarge
Cheers guys, will pass on the well wishes. :niceone:
Fairly serious op by all accounts, worst case he'll end up in a wheelchair but the Doc said 99% chance all will be well.
Cutting through muscle tissue at the shoulder/trapezius (sp) hight in the back to get to the spine where they will remove a couple of spurs that are putting pressure on his spinal cord the boring out the spinal column where there is swelling of the spinal chord in order to relieve pressure at that point.
There ya go, that's it in a nut shell, piece of cake.
Will post when I hear something.

Update: My brother is out of surgery and as far as the doctor is concerened the op was a success but given the damage he's not as confident in the outcome as he was before hand, if it's not good enough he said they'll have to go in through the front and replace some vertabrae!!
Barry is apparently in a lot of discomfort as he is having to rest on the wound as is not aloud to move at all, on the plus side the tingling in his had has already gone so that's something. Julie said the hospital care is top notch which is also good to hear.
Thanks all for the thought's.

If AFC were open tomorrow I could be tempted to buy a green Kwaka..........................
Oh yeah, some prick hit Tracy's Swift while it was angle parked in Broadway yesterday, no note, nothing, nadda. I'm guessing about $800+ in damages, so it's another insurance claim.

Got into the 1.25s which was my goal. Found clearance on the race fairings not so mint as managed to remodel them on the track without falling off.
Magic day. Had a blast chasing 86 and polly round in the last session. Sly was damn fast today too. Thats the end of the trackdays for this year. Brilliant way to finish it off.

Bit of confidence coming in when you know if you make a mistake its not going to cost your fairings. Best idea ever getting the fibreglass fairings and price was good too. Polly was on the 1100 and damn that thing has some get up and go. Sly was the big surprise of the day with the 675 looking awesome.

Its funny how slow I look in the vid, yet on the track I THOUGHT I was hauling ass!
It's all off the end of a long lens, which creates the illusion of compressing depth in the scene, so whenever you're mostly moving towards or away from the camera, it will appear slower than reality.
Real motorsport is shot with multiple cameras so that you can have most of them at the wide end of their zoom range, close to the track, so you enhance the apparent speed of the cars/bikes.

Nice vids on both counts. Interesting watching the different riding styles. (edit >read Sly/Cowboyz) Great riding. That was the slow session, right??
Great to see you involved with CDs Sarah, catch you at High Flyers.
Really nice bunch and made me very welcome.
Great pillion too, shame we weren't allowed in the medium group two up it would have been fun to see how fast the bike can go. Apparently there is more to come when I am able to handle what I have got (could be a while )
Gave me a taste of how fast to go and when and how hard to brake. In know, ride faster , brake harder and later, lean more and it's all about the tyres  (saved a million posts telling me that).
Forest elbow now, look forward to it.
Won't be able to join you this weekend but have a fab time. On call and going on CD ride and social. Catch up with you soon on two wheels I hope:sunny:

Mixture of light and grey cloud, brightening up over the Ruahine ranges rather quickly, some blue sky over there. The high hills over east are covered in low cloud and from what I could see it might have bee a wee bit brighter out toward the coast (maybe) with a north-east breeze.
I think the once we get to the top of the track you'll be able to get a decent outlook over the land but in all I can't say I saw it raining anywhere. Bit damp in sheltered corners though.

norman was returned this morning. Had a nice gentle ride out to wangavegas and Norman growled all its way with the new single pipe on it.
Got my pillion back for the return trip and had a magic run down halcombe hill.
Mrs C even commented on how slow we were going after feeling the power of Norman, everything else just paled in comparission.
time for a bigger bike then ...:soon:

Shees, sounds like you guys and girls had fun at the weekend, we ended up caging it to Tauranga for the weekend, what a shocker, the weather was crap!!! Then we got diverted to Bulls from Kakariki to get home to find it was my wife's aunty, husband and his parents in the accident at the bottom of the hill. Sounds like a boy lost control of his vehicle comming down the hill, crossed the centre line and hit them head on. Wife's aunty has 2 broken wrists, broken sternum, multi cuts requiring stitches and is a lot of pain, which them are investigating still. Both his parents were in the vehicle and it is likely they both will die, well they are giving the mother 20% chance of survival and the father has been sent to Wellington Hosp this avo. The uncle who was driving had a nasty bump on the head but was discharged from hospital. Hopefully things get better for them

CD sunday sojourn today :-)
It was bright and blustery when I got up but by the time I had found the hounds and got the beast ready the bluster was just a breeze :2thumbsup:
I realise after 2 outings that CD aren't known for being punctual but we got off pretty close to 9. A few gravel moments on the papras but a perfect autumn day for an outing and all went well until just before Raetehi. Andy, Trumpy and I arrived at the garage and even after struggling to get the efpost to work we were 3 bikes short.
Luckily it was just a tyre and Blacksheep was nifty with his repair, sure there will be pics to follow:yes:
It held up well and we had a great lunch at Ohakune before heading back via Kimbolton. The unmarked gravel patch between Rangawhahia and Kimbolton gave us all a tweak and an excuse to stop for coffees and beers before heading home in all directions.
I wasn't that keen to get out of bed this morning but glad I did. Great ride and Kate did an awesome job of pillioning and keeping dad under control.
Can't wait for the mystery tour
Nice day for a ride but sadly was not able to go for a ride.. So pleased everyone else had a nice day..
