Really nice ride down to Welly today with Pauly and NZsarge!

Pauly was returning Carmen's daughter back to Welly, so it gave us the opportunity to take a squiz at Motorad and the new Aprilia Tuono:drool: What an awesome looking bike, though somewhat different to the triple.

Stopped in Kapiti for lunch and had a nice relaxed pootle home. There and back on less than a full tank and managed 5.63lt/100km, so not bad at all.

Cheers guys for a mint day out!

:zzzz:Tuono :zzzz:Tuono

Mine 6.24lt/100km, still had a theoretical 4.7 litres left in the tank. That Tuono was really nice, I could even go one of those...

Have bike at mums in Wangavegas woohoo, little brother rode from Napier, first time for ages, and a beast to get hehe,I was impressed we went SH50 and he was bloody good tbh, over Saddle Rd had a ball, and onto Makiriri Rd he passed us,man the bike sounds nice, was at 110km or so,told him to enjoy,he did.Think when the time comes he will enjoy the GIXXER,although he did say fark it goes better than my 86 GSX 750 lol,he thinks he may go retro for 2 up,as long as he didn't go Harley I was haaaaapppppy, and if he did go HD I was going to haunt the bugger.Another kiwibiker has joined the fraw, look out Gore here he comes.Although I get to ride the bike down to him if possible, will do the island and enjoy the ride, anyone keen to escort?

Happy new year all, seeing as tis is the Manawatu week end rides thread i thought it would be the appropriate place to post our new years ride tomorrow
I asked Cowboyz to post it a while ago but it would appear facebook is the place to be at the moment which is where he posted it. So for those like myself who rarely visit face book, we are leaving from the Ashhurst petrol station about 9.30 tomorrow morning (Tuesday) and heading to Castlepoint via some back roads for a picninc lunch.
BBQ tea at mine and Monies when we get back, 16 Short Street Ashhurst.
All welcome, patners and children as well
See you all tomorrow, Ride safe and enjoy

If the weather turns to custard we will postpone

I fully concur!

Just had an epic drama with the FI light staying on....googled and searched and read and dismantled and tested and retested and hunted for error codes and (tried to) reset the error log and cleaned and dried (just washed the bike) and tested and retested and no luck so decided fuck it, it'll have to go to City Honda on Wednesday.

Put it all back together (seat, pack rack, rear cowl, grab rail, tank, ECU, Power Commander and a goodly portion of the loom) and started her up and voila, all fixed.

I'm a fucking genius, except for the bit where I don't actually have the faintest clue what the hell I did to fix it.

Filds Track it is then - good choice, thanks BR.

The bird has been looking a little lonely lately and with a shiny new exhaust sleeve and a day off, I thought I'd better do the honourable thing and take the poor girl out for a pootle....pootle being the operative word as the front is decidedly...err...smooth?

Had never done Fields Track and now I know why it's called a track...more like a footpath in places and ideal for giving the suspension a workout! Ubiquitous mintyness!

Route was Halcombe, Turakina, Paras, Fields Track, Waiouru, Vinegar Hill, about 320k-ish, great day for it.

No kicking involved.

Ok hi all , well think long and hard looking at sunny weather think OMS (o my smurfs :wings:) it's nearly winter so better go for a road ride. As it was pointed out to me that I don't ride much on the road. And that no ONE posts when they are riding and where they are riding too these days too, that was pointed out to me too by one wise man also!! :shit: So here I am posting my ride plans for tomorrow, on here, (I hope this is the right location as I do not post on road threads much!!!) and on FB manawatu riders site, so I feel I have cover all areas. Apart from linking names in or text every one!

So two options for a ride tomorrow.

Option 1, longish ride side/up/side/down, so over to wangi/ up papars side to manaweka, down to rangiwahia then hm. I guess about 5-6hrs including stops.

Option two: smallish ride, up/side/up/side/down, so this is up to apiti, side to kimboltish/up to rangiwahia, side to flathills, down to v.hill then hm, I guess 3-4hrs tops including breaks.

So post up who is keen for which option, and I guess that means for the ride too. leave time will be 10 am from ash servo.

If no one posts then I will have a sweet ride anyway:shifty: :Punk:

Bad bearing in the rear hub. Had AFC put it back together so I can use it while we wait for parts to arrive from Austria.

Best these issues surface now though, before warranty runs out.:pinch:
