450kms of CX goodness today. Popped in to see sarge and his folks whilst out and about. Did a wee metal stretch he mentioned a while back and a dead end stretch I hadn't been on before( 12kms of twisty goodness it was). Had a play with a couple of yammies near Argyle too. Old dear didn't miss a beat. Had the front slip a bit of slick seal in the gorge due to the light drizzle encountered from Dannivagas through to the centre of the universe. Nothing drastic mind, just enough of a slide to warn me a correction at the bars was needed.
Tomorrow I'll top up the oil and check the petrol ready for the weekly commute. Nah maybe I'll go for another scoot.

We'll be sure to try it out sometime and good to see you this morning!
Our run over to the Bay was mint, with a stop for lunch in Patangata. Sarge took me the back way to Cliffton, via Elsthorpe (new to me) and back to Havelock and Middle Rd:D
Stopped again for a parting chat at Dannevegas and talked to a poor chap who'd just topped up his bike with diesel:facepalm:
Home run was mint and the Rosso's have now clocked up 2200km with no real sign of wear:woohoo:

David and I will be out in group 1. making some more changes to the suspension so I unsure if it will make it quicker or slower atm.. I made some recommended adjustments on sunday and took it for a ride and the rear was all over the place. I though that was pretty average until I figured out there was 10psi in my rear tyre and getting lower. :crybaby: I was thinking about doing the coast to coast but being as I wrecked my last road tyre its going to have to be the motoTT day now.. Thats a shame!....

Good weekend on the bikes. CD toy run then Mo and I headed straight to Wellie for Bon Jovi meeting up with Mr and Mrs Cowboyz, Dogs and Mel. Good show, then a good cruise the long way back with Dogs and Mel via the Taka's (overcrowded) western lake road, Martinborough for lunch, Masterton, Ballance and home. Brilliant weather if s bit gusty today.

Yes it was a bit of bad luck there. I mean, with the 1000's of kms of roads around here, what are the chances of hitting a 10cm piece of metal like that??? And true to form Triumph want $2025.00 for a new rim! From England, naturally. ANZA have been marvelous and the rim should be here next Fri so should have the old girl back by Xmas. Keiran reckons she's a Tiger'ess, nothing but trouble lol.

A mint day would be better Sarge! Quite damp here atm, low cloud and very humid but not raining. Forecast isn't too flash either but it should still be some pretty exciting racing I'd say. I'm heading out on the bike but if it starts raining it'll be the cage.

This just came thru on email, not sure if anyone interested???
Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great Xmas & New Year. The weather is just lovely at the moment, so I hope you are all getting out on your bikes & having lots of fun.
We have some great rides coming up in the next few weeks.
Firstly, we have a mystery destination. This ride is booked for Sunday 13th February. Open to all riders.
Meet at Bisset Honda 10am, depart 10.30 sharp. Pick-up at Woodville School 10.40am & Dvke BP 11am.
$20 per person covers the lunch. This can be paid to myself anytime you see me or to Robert at work. Please have your money in by Friday 11th so the caterer can have her numbers set. This is a great day out and sure to impress everyone. Bring along your Mrs, its a great day & she'll love it. If the girls want to follow in a car, no worries as this is a lovely place to visit and worth the trip. Awesome for those with a convertable too lol, great family day out.
Secondly, we have a weekend ride planned for April, Fri 8th, Sat 9th, Sun 10th, home Monday.
The ride is called "The Long Weekend" and we plan to make it an annual event for the Tararua Social Riders & change the destination each year. This is open to all riders.
Ride up Fri stay in Gisborne (meal incl), Sat stay in Whangamata (meal incl), Sun stay in Taupo, ride home Monday 11th. The cost is still to be set, but looks like it should come in at $100 each, which is pretty dam good for 3 nites away with 2 meals. We are hoping to have a badge for this ride each year too. Numbers will have to be limited, so please reply your expressions of interest now, so you're not disappointed & miss out.
Brian's Gold Wing Club also has some exciting rides in the pipe-line, so I will keep you posted with them as they come to hand very shortly. A BBQ at Castlepoint in Jan & a Left/Right-Left/Right Ride with prizes in late Feb. Watch this space.
The Boyd riders from Hamilton have a ride on the first weekend in Feb, Gisborne, Napier & Taupo, so a group of us are planning on riding up to Napier to stay the night & catch up with them on Saturday 5th. So for the ones who don't do the Bay MC "One Nite Stand" that weekend, this will be a great one for you. I will let you know where we will be staying so you can book in, when I confirm it with Glenn.
OK, Im sure there's something here to tempt your taste buds, I just hope you can fit it ALL in lol. We will keep you posted as further details come to hand. Happy riding folks
