That may win a award as the largest stock muffler on a motorcycle!

Does any noise emit from the end? puff puff wheeze ....

Shit I bet after a ride you could turn it off and ten minutes later exhaust gas would still be escaping out the end ....

Not a huge issue in a 2 stroke MXer. It could easily be like grandad's axe... on it's fourth crank, third barrel, second gearbox and tenth piston and it would still perform well. Depends on HOW it was maintained.

People often say that mods don't add value, but that's nonsense. All the money spent on that bike was thoughtful and absolutely adds value - if you've got two identical bikes and one has a tail tidy, pipe etc and the other doesn't, you're damn right I'm going to pay more for the one that has the mods.

On the other hand, the 30,000km surely devalues that bike more than the current owner recognises. So I agree that it's overpriced.

The MT03s like that one were ridiculously expensive until a year or maybe two back, then Yamaha dropped the price to flog them off. They had to get rid of them because there was a 300cc MT03 coming and selling both at the same time would've been even sillier than it is now.

I'm not so sure, The Norton I have just finished doing some work on was bought at the engine/gearbox/suspension had just been done, nice, and new exhausts and Borrani's. I did the numbers and will tidy my other one up and move it one. Saves me lots of shed time.

Heck you could get 2 first model GSXRs in the current market (I don't particularly want one but they are a game changer and quirky attractive. Can anyone explain why they are so cheap?)

I've been wrong about some of the bikes for sure. But it's these exceptions that dreamers seem to latch onto when pricing their worthless tat or sad abomination. TM is still littered with old listings.

For some years they had an artificial high value as the engines were wanted for Speedway TQ's....Then the TQ's went watercooled and the bottom dropped out of GSXR750 H-M's. They also have a distressing tendency in old age to drop rods if you're unwise enough to take them onto a track....

Yep. At those sort of KM's, if someone does buy it, they need their head read. It's a 4-5k bike.

Yeah, it most certainly has some nice bits on it. Prob being, you're entering Busa Country at 8k, and there's no comparison to ride. A fraction of the KM's, and yeah, some tip over scratches...but the B/Bird does have a ding in the tank. Know where my money would go.

Those ZX and Blackbird owners are friggen dreaming.

The Honda chap should strip the $4k suspension goodness pop on the stock bouncers and sell the gold stuff separately. No way that bike is moving at 8k with 86,000 on it when you can get a Busa with 25k on the clock for sub $7k

That's one thing I always have a close look at with some bikes, the condition it's presented in is usually a good indication of what sort of treatment the bike has had

Yip if they can't take the time to take a decent picture i can't see them adjuting the chain or making sure it has oil and is serviced.

yeah i thought they looked a bit touched up too, which annoyed me a little - Id rather see a vehicle pictured as it is, not photoshopped / edited / retouched etc.
reminds me of when we were looking to buy our last house, realised real quick that ray white seriously touch up their photos, the actual houses were often barely recognizable from the photos, adverts looked like a gem, actual houses looked like turds.

Just wastes my fucking time.

Given an R75/5 sold for 10K last week I'd say that is not unreasonable.

Looked at Triumph and Norton asking prices lately and engineering wise they are from the steam age.

I've got the first R90s sold in NZ in 1974 and it was $5500.00 new.

Maybe if the bike was start price of around $13k it'd be a slightly different story but starting at $17.5k nah
At 13 I'd even consider buying it myself as the 90s is one of the beemers I have a soft spot for

I always remember the ads that used to frequent the pages of the US mags in the early 80s for BMW & the american owners club....they had classes for the bikes 100, 200, & were on the verge of starting the 300s.....that was for distance traveled ;) and we all know the yanks unit of measure is miles!

"Cause previously if you asked at the Post Office they'd give you the address of the owner. That was in case you'd been in an accident and needed to contact the other party. Nowadays because people misused that facility and used it to steal bikes and cars, I understand that it has been withdrawn.

Can sometimes weasel out of a speeding ticket and I have heard that if you opt out of sharing the information NZTA has with third parties then you can get out of paying for the over priced parking as they can't get your details.

I'm posting this one for the most unusual of photos. A rather odd way of visually presenting your motorcycle.

I understand photos of attractive ladies covered in soapy bubbles ..... but this?

Yer not wrong. What's up with the grips? Think I've seen similar on Chinese sites but passed over them. Why would you want slippery hard ally on half?

This dodgy bitch. Lists a helmet with the listing title 'motorcycle' and the thorough description of 'motorbike helmet'. She had no idea what the size was or where to find it.
