happened to me on the other end .Tag was at he end of Rifle range road,over in the Ohariu Valley,but i didnt pay enough attention when i was looking at the map(s) and took a wrong turn,woulda beaten Cloggy to the Post,and had the pleasure of meeting him(earlier than i did).

That spot of oil could have been oil from my Scott chain oiler. I had to wind back the flow rate when I got home.

The top of the hill road is about that height. My GPS reckons between 186 and 189 metres ASL. The actual valley floor where I am is 94 metres ASL.

The top of the hill road is about that height. My GPS reckons between 186 and 189 metres ASL. The actual valley floor where I am is 94 metres ASL.

Still prefer to think were higher lol, bloody bowl valley makes it as cold on the floor as at the hill summit, in fact someimes the summits warmer!

The Blue Lane straigh in front at Clifton had a deliberatly short security arm- thats the FREE bike entrance

Then ride between the bollards going in/out, all good ;)
I have checked with the management there its designed to let bikes in free, and out free.
However be warned they ONLY let you park there in the motorbike bay

Im e-mailing John Visser regarding 3 other cool bike spots in that parking area that cars cannot use, about 4-5 bikes on each place but untill they get approved and marked, no touchee
