After spending some fruitless time riding round the Hikoikoi Reserve area (or what it called) which is where I sort of guessed it may be cos my spies sure had their lips sealed, and getting more and more wetter,I decided to head for the Coast (bearing no gift :weep:). Except by the time I got to Haywards, I was so damm wet and cold, and with no change of clothes, decided to head for the Hill and the real home. I have not ridden in the middle of a huge THUNDER storm before. I was terrified I was going to be struck by one of those lightning bolts that was crashing around, in front, behind and beside. I only had one little slide...... I could blame the cold tyres, cos I am sure they were:(

A long soak in a hot bath, two VERY large and STRONG Bourbons later, I can sit and devise afitting punishment for the Chief Spy. Hide his bong perhaps.........

so after getting home from work i saw this tag and knew where it was go got the bike started found the camera tested out the flash at home (outside) so I knew it would work...tottled off to the tag in the rain (never to be again done on my own) bike is still in one piece though.

Found the exact spot for the tag and took the first photo flash didnt go off so couldnt see anything in the pic did some more playing around with the camera and got the flash to work pic still didnt come up tried a couple more times then decided bugger it time to go home and if i wake up earley enuf and it is still there then will go get it.

Thanks Paul, close but not close enough. After leaving the reserve area, I did ride up to the roundabout heading towards Port Road, but decided the angle was starting to look a bit wrong, so headed for home. Ah well - was an interesting experience

By then it was pissing down, and in leathers and open/face, it wasnt long before I was drenched thru and sitting in a pool of water on my seat, I had to fart regularly to stop my balls from freezing.Even as I type, the contents of my wallet which was in my jacket pocket are drying on the kitchen table.

There are no recogniseable landmarks and i dont recognise the playground...i dont know where this is.I would guess,that it is about 20 minutes or so from when you left central welly.....

what i will do is make seperate maps i will make the current one the first one,and limit the number of place markers to 100.The old map had two pages and would have ended up with 400 tags,i dont know if it would have then gone to another page.

Telecom had problems with their IP Trunk provider which affected both Telecom and Telstraclear's Ip networks over the last day or so. Telecom have not had a good week.

This has been discussed a couple of weeks ago but I'm going to mention it again.

Part of the fun of this game is the tracking down of the location of the tag. I may not be able to go get it but I do like that part of the challenge. I know that Cloggy has backed off chasing the tag but he also likes the thrill of the search. Stoney has also commented on this.

Can we get a concensus around posting SV pics which give much more info than the original tag. Putting up a SV image within an hour of posting especially when some of us are stuck in work and are watching the clock for home time takes a little bit away from the game. I think it should be up to the person who places the tag to provide clues and no-one else.

I spent 35 mins tracking this last tag down on the interwebby thing but when I came back into KB, there was a SV pic and a PM waiting for me. I prefer not to have that thanks folks.

Just my thoughts but I would be interested in the masses thoughts. :done:

My sentiments exactly. I really enjoy the search especially so when I am not able to go for the tag.

In the background PM's are your own risk/responsibility but I think clues and SV shots are for the OP to put up if required.

Im with you Hawkeye - the posting of SV jsut spoils the hunt. I reckon even the tag poster should only give clues if asked rather than thinking its taken too long my tag must be too hard - ill post a clue. PMs only i say if you gonna spoil the game with SV. And while we are at it - ditch file pics - hunt it tag it and then get another - say no to acc levies increase and file pics!

Ha 128 gig in 1 month and that was the sons reply as well. Block Torrent sites and the problems almost goes away. Cut his network cable with a pair of pliers and I got 100% success. It worked for me...:devil2:
