Don't stress, this is how the game was in the early days. tough tags are fine. Tags don't have to be got instantly, it now has 3 players that know where it is and time will tell who will get it.

YAY ! I was/am feeling really guilty that I had broken tag-o-rama :)

I find it hard to gauge how easy/hard to make the pics and clues as some folks want the tag easily identifiable so the game keeps moving and others want it more challenging to find. Your views/thoughts/comments are welcome (either public or as a PM)?

The next question is who is going to brave the dark, the cold and the bugs to tag it !

I think the trick is to try and have a clue in your pic that can be searched, or failing that , give a written clue as you did.
I find after an hour searching, I tend to wipe it, especially if it is prime riding time.

As most of you know yesterday was Cams birthday. To celebrate this most auspicious occassion he thought a ride to the far away climes of the hutt valley would be appropriate:yes:

I think he was rather shocked to see so many riders and their gorgeous bikes takeover the car park at Waikanae New World:gob:
I had come over from the dark side (with a tag in hand that needed placing) and met the valley/welly riders at Haywards. we had a very nice ride over the Paekak and into Waikanae to meet all Cams new friends. I am no longer a Paekak virgin. I hav:mellow:e now riden the hill from north to south and south to north:scooter: WooHoo - Its a great peice of road - cant understand why i had been so intimidated of it. I can see why you coastites love it so much.:yes:

After the obligatory smoke/fuel up bullshit that seems to go on in any group ride, it was time to move leave Waikane. Traffic control was needed to get us all out of there. Down SH1
Back over the Paekak, Haywards then onwards to Whitemans Valley. To a great wee cafe that the coastites know and have claimed as their own.

Only problem was me and Katiepie got lost before we had even left SH2:blink::bye:

But somehow we got found again:yes: we were hugely relieved to turn that corner and see our friends waiting on the side of the road. I just know they were not thinking - women navigators:2guns:

and then it was time for the great convoy of men, women (katie and Viv - love your riding- Viv - you are FAST) and their machines to take over the whitmans valley road and get to the famous short straw cafe. It was as good as they said.

after the obligitory food/coffee, watch Cam blow out his candle it was back on ride again going over some very nice back roads to come out in Te Marua.

I also had no idea there were so many horses over that way, and they were all out playing on OUR road, and they didnt like the throaty rumble of all our machines. So we had to take it nice and easy. But - it was a nice and easy day, the sun shone, the sky was blue, it was warm. Winter seemed like many rides away

I turned right to play on my lovely Hill and the rest of the group turned left, and prob had another play on Paekak:scooter:

Was great to get out and meet you all - old friends and new.

There is only 2 small sections of gravel, 1 as you cross an area where the road crosses an active slip and the last just as you get there. Probably about 200m in total. They've done an excellent job sealing all the rest over the last few years:yes:

whoops - got sidetracked on all these gorgeous Rapa roads, which were invaded by a plethora of Coasties. Had a great ride with them - they definitely breed them mad and bad over there

Okay - extra big wow for the awesome ride i just had down to Ngawi. Last time i went on this road it was 60% gravel. Now its like SH1, long straights, a few nice sweepers and some small twisities. And to cruise along at a speed (not over the limit) with the ocean crashing just metres from my tyres was pretty magical. So thank you KL for placing this tag out on a part of NZ that is rather special and only 40 minutes from my door.

out of plaster wound is good and tendon seems to be healing well.Still not allowed to put any weight on it.waer a plastic boot type thing which i take off three times a day to flex ankle.two weeks i think before i can put weight on it.
