Could you not just cut a length from the bulk reels at good auto parts shops?
Hot water or a heat gun to put any bends in it. About $2-$15 metre depending on material.

Got the fuel hose now, got to put it on, might be tank of to change it, tight at carb end. I wanted the right hose, thin walled compared with most aftermarket hoses, has to go over full tap and still thin enough to have the steel braiding over the top of it...

I hope not! I've had a ball playing this game. I was stoked that I stumbled across the Welly Tag O Rama when I first started riding as it was a great excuse to divert from the main route home and get some more riding practice in. Helps to break up the working week too.

Come on fullas warm those bikes up and hunt this one down! Maybe a group tag is in order to revive the game? I've not met any of you in the 2years (?) that i've been playing!

I recently joined up to the "Wellington Riders" facebook page. Are any of you signed up there? Perhaps a mention in that group could fire the game up again with some newbies playing?

It's more to let the person that posted the tag that someone has it figured out, so they don't have to post a clue unless someone wants one. Besides, plenty of people have got the tag before the spotted person has got to it. It's a competitive game of sorts, so saying spotted doesn't mean you have dibs on getting it...

I agree with you. People who say "spotted" and then do nothing about getting the tag are just filling up the forum with noise. The point of the game is to go out and get the tag not to tell people you know where it is. But maybe I'm just old school lol

I agree with that. There seems to be a lot of noise and not a lot of action in the game now.

In the early day's of the game you would never ever post 'spotted'. That was just throwing down a challenge to the rest of the players to get to it before you.
With 15-20 players ready to jump on the bike as soon as the original was posted, it became a race to get to it. That's how we ended up with so many 'group' tags in the early day's. We also didn't have the luxury of mobile phones when the game first started so relied on the good old fashioned camera pic and shoot home to upload on the computer.
There was many a time I was first to a tag only to be beaten because someone else lived closer.

But that was the nature of the game at the start. It certainly was fun playing the game back then.

updating the stats sheet again we passed 2500 tags on the 19th of Feb this year.!we now been playing(as of today) 2742 days and have had 86 players.As discussed above the longest duration has been 1537 hours(28th June to 31 August 2015) and the shortest was 5 minutes(August 2009)

The mechanic at the place I had formerly taken my bike to has moved on, however, after an Internet search I have found somewhere that does them on the spot. After reading their website further I discovered that the mechanic there is the one from my previous wof place. Excellent, he already knows my bike. You just gotta love the interweb

Although VTNZ do WOF's I no longer trust then. Took the bike to a shop to get a new tyre for the WOF after VTNZ failed it.
The tyre was the only thing they failed it on. When the shop mechanic had it up with the wheel off he came and got me.
The steering head bearing was shot. It had a definate flat spot in the middle due to constantly riding in a straight line. (commuter bike).

I'd much rather have the bike checked properly rather than getting a WOF that you can't trust.

As a side note, I was in Alladin's getting a Kabab only the other day:rolleyes:

just a street address will do i only use co ordinates if there isnt a proper google maps street address.As i say the location list is as per how i used to put the pins on a google map(or actual street address)
