I spend 2 hours on the Kapiti Coast today. Unfortunately I didn't have access so didn't know what to search for. I may have been mtrs from the tag and not known it.

Hey, Before i head off for the night, quick little story - Kinda off topic, but it is tag related.
Owner of the Black Pirate theme Building I posted as a Tag earlier today, came out to take a look at the Bike, and Quoted to me an old advertising Slogan " Do it on a Honda " then he raised a trouser Leg slightly and would you believe it - Peg Leg. Apparantly back in the days when Pukerua Bay was a Three lane Highway he passed a convoy on a 450 Honda Twin at the same time as a "little lady in a big car" decided to do the same in the oncoming direction - not long after that they closed down the extra lane - True story.

But thats all it did, slide ! On the left case and bar end/lever/pinky(ouch) combo !
the crash bung didn't even touch ! Think the way it tucked, had my arm/shoulder take the initial impact !
Totally dumbarse going into splash so hot, first thing on a damp track and used tyre, but i was feeling good and chasing a young Sketchy (was is an apropriate word cause he was way in the distance when i went down) saw chasing him round as the perfect oportunity to get me a few hot laps in when he came past, to grab a few grid positions on the guys i usually line up with, owwww hindsight is a wonderfull thing, nearly as good as the stash of tramal i have herererererere

it was very cold mate.Coming from Welly NW suburbs buy the time i got to Porirua i was wondering if my hands would even be able to work the camera by the time i got to Waikanae.Got gas at Mana and it was a hell of a lot warmer from there on.On the way back along the Porirua motorway the grass was WHITE and small pools of water are(were) frozen.....

the grass was WHITE and small pools of water are(were) frozen.....
Come and have a look here in Wainui. Couldn't open the window this morning cause is was frozen shut. Just about arsed over on the deck out the back cause it's still covered in ice. The animals (Guinea Pigs and rabbits) are chewing on grass popsicles and it's great fun watching the dogs trying to have a drink when their drinking bucket is frozen with a good layer of ice and they can't figure out what's going on.
There was no way I was going to get on the bike while is was (is) like this.
Wait for things to thaw out a little. Looks like it's going to be a great day for bike riding though.

i was thinking about that,but figured that i would beat them there.I left home about 7 (was at Mana 7:33) so at Waikane at 8 (2 stop on the way,1 tag 1 petrol) and one on the way home(alternate tag)

THAT Will explain the Summit Road Pic last saturday morning, Not much excuse for being at the top of summit Road unless you've just hurtled down the firebreaks (used to be a mountainbiker myself but had to chuck it in 6 months ago due to ongoing neck problems being agrevated by the single track riding ).

Yup, Lunchtime during the week was up the Wainui Hill (goat track) and then Single Track riding in the bush, or up the 4 * 4 Track to Fitzherbet and then Down Summit. Saturday Mornings would usually spend a couple of hours at the Kapiti MTB Park with local mates - lot of fun to be had.

On the way to summit road one day my friend on his Mountainbike and a 4 x 4 met one another head on, combined speed of 60K's, Ruptured Spleen, Bit through his tongue and internal bleeding and he still rides that track .....
Thats when I gave up mountain biking, but I dont know what I would do if I couldnt get out on the motorcycle.

yeah thought it might need some clues, and there is one little clue in the post with the pic,
