The peaks in late 2018 correspond to the midterm elections, and in late 2019 to his impeachment inquiry. The Post reported 20,055 false or misleading claims in 1,267 days, an average of more than 15.8 per day.

Four hours of debate is way out of Trump's league. If his IQ was ten points lower he be classified as handicapped.
His lies are coming thick and fast but even so this tweet was special. One sentence contains four lies.
"Was Andy McCabe ever forced to pay back the $700,000 illegally given to him and his wife, for his wife’s political campaign, by Crooked Hillary Clinton while Hillary was under FBI investigation, and McCabe was the head of the FBI??? Just askin’?"
McCabe was not given any money.
His wife was running for office as a Democrat and received money from a PAC appropriately.
The money was not from Clinton.
McCabe was not head of the FBI, he assumed that position after Trump fired Comey, and he had recused himself from the investigation into Clinton.

of course, the trump apologists will be oh they all lie instead of ever admitting that trump is a habitual liar. They will never give any significant or compeerable evidence of the other US president lying or attempting to manipulate opinion on any scale.
They will never discuss trumps lying directly
The first thing to point out the old adage: How do you know when a Politician is Lying? Their Mouths are open and their lips are moving.
Secondly, that Graph reeks of pure Desperation:
"Seeeee how much Trump is lyyyyyyying, we have a GRAPH! WITH AVERAGES!"
I could just as easily make a graph showing the number of Ladies sniffed by Biden or the number of 'senior moments', but to do so would be Churlish (although amusing)
Thirdly, With respect to the Washington Post data (since they supply a database) a quick review shows that most of the so-called 'Fact checked' statements show either
1: That is the most literal and uncharitable interpretation of his words - taking hyperbolic statements to be taken as literal fact - When Trump says 'Greatest in History' - Anyone with any shred of comprehension of the English languages knows that this is not to be taken as a serious piece of scholarly historical fact, It's clear Hyperbole. That they are interpreting Hyperbole as a serious statement brinigs me to the second point
2: It is clearly a partisan antics, done by Left-Wing Media. This on it's own isn't so much of an issue, the issue is that they are trying to present their partisan shenanigans as unbiased objective fact. If you compare this to the likes of Ben Shapiro - who regularly has scathing remarks about the God Emperor and his conduct, but he also clearly stats that his is a Conservative and that his news segments have a right-wing bias. He doesn't attempt to claim objectivity.
Finally, If I was to apply the same standard to Biden that they are applying to Trump - everytime Biden made a mistake or called someone the wrong name or the wrong town etc. I'd take that Statement, put a big 'FALSE!' banner over it, and then compile a list. I don't and I've not seen something like this from the Republican side either - because it is churlish.

Heyya Jason, I get where you are coming from. Though I do note it suits Trump just fine to hire illegals to work the jobs in his golf courses and such. Where as when it suits him to demonize them, he turns around and does that. I'm not defending illegals, I do not even mention them in my post. That is quite the interesting comment - Consider that statement to be completely true.
Trump goes to a foreign dignitary with a list of demands - you can't tell which ones he's serious about and which ones are full of shit, the Negotiation starts, Trump keeps you guessing with big sweeping statements, you try and whittle away on the negotiation, but his chaotic style is impossible to read - eventually a Deal is struke and when the dust fades, you realize that you've been played by an inability to distinguish between the two.

But there's a key difference - as Boorish as Grabbing 'em by the Pussy is - it's clearly in reference to Groupies. Doesn't mean it's acceptable behavior or that it should be condoned - only that simply when you are Rich, Famous or In the band, Some Women will implicitly consent to just about anything.
Whereas I again direct you to the video I posted - That Girl is uncomfortable as fuck. And I'll even hear the argument that he's from a Different Era and that's how he treats Ladies and there's no Malice or fetishistic element to it - the Fact remains whether it's a 70 year old innocent habit or worse - it's objectively inappropriate. And that is not the only Video footage of him doing it.
And further to that, I want you to imagine the Press reaction if Trump was seen doing what Biden did - considering the Furor of 'Grab 'em by the Pussy' generated by the shrieking harpies claiming that this was proof he was a rapist - what would the Media do?
Doubly further is looking at when the Media released videos of Joe Biden being weird with Ladies and Girls - all of them just-so-happen to be around 1-2 years ago - almost as if there was an attempt to poison the well for a potential presidential candidate.....

Nope, all Trump apologist rubbish to my mind. No point us debating this one, neither of us is going to convince the other of anything different.

Mr Trump suggested that the women who have come forward accusing him were not attractive enough for him to sexually assault them.
First name on the list - There's a video of the alleged assault - so lets have a look, from CNN no less:
https://edition.cnn.com/2019/07/12/politics/trump-alva-johnson-kissing-video/index.html
He's shaking hands with the guys and does an air kiss on the cheek.
Watch the video at half-speed, he never turns his head into hers (as in to press his lips onto her cheek) and you can see she is clearly reciprocating the air-kiss as her lips are pursed.
Here's my fundamental issue - you present a list of so-called sexual assault victims. The first name has video evidence and clearly shows a normal reciprocal social interaction. That this is claimed to be Sexual Assault tells me:
1: You didn't bother to fact-check any of the claimants, just posted on faith a list of names
2: The person(s) who compiled the list didn't fact-check the claimants
or
3: They are so hell-bent on throwing enough shit at the wall in a desperate that some of it sticks that they include any claim that supports their narrative regardless of how baseless it is
Which therefore leads me to the conclusion that any lists previous or subsequent presented by such people should be rejected in the first instance as works of fiction unless substantial proof is presented to the contrary.
Or to put it another way: There's a Boy crying Wolf...

Let me put it another way - I met my wife cause I was in the band, and I doubt there is a person on this forum who would argue against me stating my personality is argumentative and prickly - 2 things generally not conducive to picking up chicks.
Groupies and how they behave is one thing, Not saying it's right, not saying to take advantage of it is right, only that it is a thing - fairly well documented and in my case, quite beneficial.
I only ask this: Does Biden's interaction with the girl look acceptable to you?

The point wasn't to engage in a whataboutism per se, more specifically to show that there are things worthy of discussion on the part of Biden that I don't throw around as a matter of course - because I don't like the partisan and hysterical nit-picking nature of it and further to that, the characterization or dismissal of those concerns from the likes of Pritch is equal to the Trump Apologia I'm accused of.
Secondly it was to draw a comparison between how the partisan factions (media, party, voter et al) have one standard for Trump and a completely different standard for Biden.

Whenever I see a list of Trumps Misdeeds, just like the list Husa posted - what is the odds that the first name on the list, out of 18, would be a clear false accusation, with video evidence?
1 in 18 isn't good odds - about 5.5% - Even if someone was to infer that I reviewed each and every one of them on the list, until I cherry picked one that had an issue in order to discredit the list - I didn't order it, Husa did, and that 5.5% chance (assuming only one of them was blatantly false) would be the first name on the list.
So I see that many of the very, VERY long lists are very, VERY artificially inflated by people with partisan motives. If they would be honest about the lists they presented and culled the spurious and outright false claims from the list, I might re-consider, but if they did that, I suspect we'd find nothing significantly worse than your average lying scumbag Politician.

Circulation is guaranteed. The "experts" present results that have been generated by using various computer models. The interpretation of those results is then up for debate, because there is no standard of input across the modelling. All modelling uses weighting to counter for the variable/unknown, and at that point in time, you can make the data tell you any story you like. The politicians then take over. Either they fight the result or they use it to brow beat people to death with. Bet you didn't expect that when you started picking your nose 2/3's of the way through the post, eh, but you did ask ;)

I think I've addressed this in the other thread but I'll recap:
1: I'm not a huge fan of the Federalist system, it creates parallel laws - whereas being British, I tend to take the view that one law should apply to all.
2: That said, the United States is built on the Federalist model and so it is incumbent upon all in the US to uphold this
3: Trump delegated authority to the individual State's Governors to deal with the Virus as they saw fit
4: I personally disagree with this course of action and I think it should have had a Federal response - mainly derived from point 1
5: Despite point 4, and in line with point 2 - what Trump did was entirely in the spirit of the mechanism that the US was built on even if I disagree with it
6: From what we know of the majority of Deaths - there was Co-Morbidity in something like 90+% of cases (Age, Weight, other pre-existing medical conditions) - for which the US has long had issues with
7: Of course, that doesn't mean those people deserved to die, nor does it exonerate Trump's actions entirely.
To conclude then: If you are seeking an Acknowledgement or criticism of Elements of Trumps response to Covid - Sure - I think there should have been a stronger Federal response and that Trump's cavalierness has undoubtedly had an effect on the Death Toll.
However to add to that, I also held the same cavalierness (and still do, to a degree) and that whilst it's easy to judge on the initial death-toll, the long term consequences of various government responses (including NZs) are yet to be known.

A good response, thank you.
Points 1, 2, 4, 6 are to my mind not really Trump related as he largely ignores federal laws and prefers to take control and do things "his" way - laws and constitution be damned.
3, yes, for once Trump decided to delegate - a hospital pass for sure. IMHO he just wanted the Governors to take the heat to protect his reelection chances as best he good. Not much point debating this, as I acknowledge my position is based on pure speculation. Having said that I remember when I mentioned to you way back that if course Trump would have known well in advance how bad the virus really was, you did some pretty passionate defense on how he may not of been - turns out he was well informed on the dangers - if course, how could he not be with the intelligence agencies at his disposal.
5. pretty much related to my point above, he only engaged in the spirit this time because it suited his own cause.
7. Agreed.

I was just pointing out how the trumpers rubbish certain media outlets yet forget the media has to be able to prove what they print or retract it.
Those same rules do not apply to Trumps Tweets or other rubbish.
One of her predecessors.
Sarah Sanders
On April 18, 2019, the first volume of Mueller Report, the Special Counsel Investigation report compiled by Robert Mueller, revealed that Sanders admitted that she had lied when giving a press conference, when she described various things regarding James Comey, the former FBI director. This included lying about the firing of former attorney general Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's connection to the Comey firing, and when she claimed that "countless" FBI agents had lost faith in him. She repeatedly told the press that "countless members" of the FBI had contacted her to complain about Comey, but admitted to investigators that her claims were "a slip of the tongue" and "not founded on anything". When a redacted version of the special counsel's report was publicly revealed, Sanders defended herself, saying that her comments about the FBI agents were made in "the heat of the moment" and unscripted.
Sanders also had lied about President Trump being in charge of a statement regarding the Trump Tower meeting. He worked on said statement with his advisor Hope Hicks, and when the emails about that statement were made public, it was reported that he had helped with it himself According to the report, Sanders also made false statements about when Trump decided to fire James Comey, as well as lying about Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's involvement in the Comey firing. The revelation of false statements was described by The New York Times as showcasing a "culture of dishonesty" within the White House. Regarding Sanders defending her comments on FBI agents, The New York Times wrote: "It has been a hallmark of the Trump White House never to admit a mistake, never to apologize and never to cede a point. This case was no different."
Sanders' rhetoric about the report was found to be misleading or false. In March 2019, after Attorney General William Barr released a summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian interference in the 2016 election, Sanders falsely claimed that the investigation's findings were "a total and complete exoneration." The summary of the report explicitly stated it "does not exonerate him."[71] Sanders repeated her suggestion that the report exonerated Trump in May 2019, as well as falsely claimed that Mueller "closed the case." The Associated Press noted, "Mueller did not fully exonerate Trump or declare that a possible case against Trump to be “closed.” While announcing his work was now finished, Mueller specifically left it open for Congress to decide on possible charges of wrongdoing
Sarah Grisham held the position for more than a year during which there were no formal press briefings at all.
On September 23, 2019, when asked by the hosts of Fox & Friends if the White House planned to resume its daily press briefing, Grisham said "not right now... I mean, ultimately, if the president decides that it's something we should do, we can do that, but right now he's doing just fine

Yeah, for me that was best summed up by a woman who said,
"He's hurting the wrong people."
She had worked at a factory which Trump announced in a blaze of publicity that he had saved, but which promptly moved to Mexico. The woman, now out of work, was fine with the idea that he was hurting people, but it was supposed to be 'the others' not her.

Michael Steele, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee, sharply criticized President Donald Trump's supporters on Wednesday night for their continued loyalty even as the US death toll from coronavirus nears 200,000.
"I'm exhausted, I'm exasperated ... The fact that we have to literally beg people to wear a mask to save their own dumb a** from getting sick?
"And yet 40% of the country looks at it and goes, 'Yeah, I'm with stupid.' So, look, America, at this point, you have a stark choice. In the face of everything that is going on. I don't know what more you can take before you say you've had enough. Because my heavens, this is too much for a country to go through."
Steele was responding to Trump's public dispute of US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Robert Redfield's suggestions urging Americans to wear masks and prediction that the US won't return "to our regular life" for months. Trump has championed the arrival of a vaccine around the upcoming presidential election as he urges the country to return to its pre-pandemic life.
The President told reporters Redfield was "confused" when he made his remarks and called it "incorrect information.
"This President stands at a podium today and not only contradicts his CDC director, but basically says he perjured himself under oath before Congress because he is saying something different than Donald Trump," Steele said. "The CDC director is telling us the truth. Donald Trump is literally lying to us."

Trump doesn't joke. Have you ever seen him laugh? Not just a sneer, a genuine laugh.
His usual method is to make these statements to test the water. If it bombs it is later stated to be a joke. If the backlash is minor it becomes a "policy statement." For example his now semi regular claim to be owed three terms. There have been others which you will have noticed - if you were paying attention.
The doubts about Trump's mental faculties are of far more immediate concern than are Biden's.

What?
I've seen him make many an exceptionally witty remark, that was clearly intended as humorous. Not just me, other people have stated the Trump is a funny guy.
His usual method is to make these statements to test the water. If it bombs it is later stated to be a joke. If the backlash is minor it becomes a "policy statement." For example his now semi regular claim to be owed three terms. There have been others which you will have noticed - if you were paying attention.
Okay - if he wins the Next Election and tries to run for a 3rd term, we'll come back to that.
Do you remember however what I said about Trump's method of keeping his opponents guessing - consider your post - some of what he says are clearly jokes - my personal favourite being in the 2016 election when he remarked to Hillary on the Debate stand 'You'd be in jail!' - He's not arrested Hillary, so clearly a joke.
Or the more recent one when pressed on QAnon by a reporter 'They allege that you are trying to stop a satanic cult of Cannibals and Pedophiles' (paraphrased) and he immediately retorts "And that's a bad thing?" again, clearly a witty retort, but with a point that even if what the Reporter has alleged - stopping Satanic Cannibals and Pedophiles is always a good thing.
The doubts about Trump's mental faculties are of far more immediate concern than are Biden's.
Demonstrable Bullshit.
Now, you'll note I've not been posting ad-nauseum about Biden and his mental state, I'm not a Doctor and I don't like throwing around tabloid-esque accusations.
However recently I was watching a clip of Biden from 2015 - He was sharp, articulate and forceful, comparing that to a Clip from now - it really does highlight that in the last 5 years, something has changed, and not in a positive way.
I even said when he had the run-in with the factory worker around banning AR rifles - he started strong and we saw a little of the Biden of old - forceful and with a point and then he tailed off and muddled himself.

After the last administration nearly killed the U.S. auto industry, I saved the U.S. auto industry," he said Sept. 10. "We brought you a lot of car plants."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2074&v=ZNdnDByTTi0&feature=emb_logo
And he went on to say that he wrangled a promise in a meeting with Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for Japanese companies to expand in the U.S.
"The next day they announced five car companies are coming to Michigan," Trump told the crowd.
Only Japan didn’t announce five companies coming to Michigan. Trump didn’t save the auto industry. And he didn’t bring a lot of car plants to the state — the most he can claim is one. Which was a reopened old plant.

He neglects to mention that the employment rates were going up well before he got in.
he also wants to claim the success of others as his own while not ownnig the current situation
Note Michigan is currently losing jobs at an alarming rate.

The top chart would show employment in that industry bottomed in about 2008, then rose over the next eight years (the Obama presidency) with a large dip shortly after trump was elected, and then has continued to rise, although the curve is flattening somewhat.
The bottom chart would show unemployment in that group peaked under Bush, then steadily declined under Obama, until now when it is higher than even before.

The last video i posted the one where trump made up 5 car plants he claimed to have brought to Michigan from Japan
and how he saved the auto industry
He said something along the lines of Biden was the worst candidate to ever run for President of the US
it will be interesting if he lost to the worst candidate in history.
He also made fun of Bidens son for not being a self made man like himself.........

Trump must be heralding the passing of the 200,00 of his people that have died while he doesn't care and plays golf.
Golf you say?
resident Donald Trump defended his golfing trips in a Sunday morning tweet.
“My ‘exercise’ is playing, almost never during the week, a quick round of golf,” the president said, adding “Obama played more and much longer rounds, no problem.”
By the end of May, Trump had spent some 266 days of his first term at one of his golf clubs, outpacing former President Barack Obama, who had golfed 98 times by the same point in time during his time in office, according to a CNN analysis.
Trump negatively tweeted about Obama’s golf outings more than two dozen times while Obama was president.
According to a CNN tally, Trump had spent 266 days at one of his golf clubs by the end of May, while Obama had played 98 rounds by that point in his presidency.
https://www.businessinsider.com.au/trump-defends-golf-trips-falsely-claims-less-than-obama-2020-7?r=US&IR=T
Don't worry the trump apologists will be along to insist he was misquoted to he want playing golf or its okay as the is a republican god or similar
So he moans about Onbama playing golf and thenspendsd three times the amount of times himself.
Then defends it by lying and saying Obama played more.

.................
A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld the $25m settlement against Donald Trump over his now-defunct Trump University program, meaning thousands who were lured to attend his expensive but overblown real-estate seminars will finally get most of their money back.
Trump had pledged not to settle and fight all the way to a court showdown, but after he won the election in November 2016, his lawyers settled three fraud cases on his behalf, for a total of $25m, including restitution and fines.

A week or so back the NY AG issued a subpoena for Eric Trump to appear and be interviewed about the business affairs of Trump Inc. Eric said he's too busy to attend. This is totally on brand for any Trump associate, but if it was anybody else the judge would normally issue a bench warrant for their arrest.
Anyhoo the AG has gone back to the judge and the court has ruled Eric must appear for the taking of depositions by 7/10/20. Should he not appear by that date the handcuffs should be ready. But Trump...
The other day at one of his mass speaker rallies Trump referred to a clip of a journalist being shot by a rubber bullet as,
"A beautiful sight. That's law and order."
Others may disagree, shooting journalists doesn't fit with the First Amendment to the US Constitution.
Trump only worries about the law as it affects other people. He consistently ignores the law himself.

A good one? I think there is one line in that entire article that I can use to sum it up:
Well-supported arguments, some of them in this magazine, have made the case that Trump fits the diagnostic criteria for psychopathy and narcissism.
It's a bunch of self-referrential Circle-Jerking opinion, desperately trying to masquerade itself as objective journalism. Passing off half-truths and the conjecture based on those half-truths as gospel truth and perfect deductions.
The only thing that it's good at, is perfectly painting a picture of the decrepit state of Journalism - passing off what should be a Blog post as an 'article'

Trump and the ignorati do not like that results of postal votes keep getting counted after election night. There's many reasons for that, all explained in The Atlantic article I posted above. These votes tend to favour the Democrats though so Trump doesn't like them.

yeah if it's not good for trump it's bad.........
notice how the trumpers like to call out everything all sorts of lies unless it comes from Trump, where even if it's clearly untrue to ie 50% of his speeches, they will never call it that, it's almost like republicanism is some sort of a religious cult..........
they will never produce evidence to support their own allegations yet will never accept any of the piles of evidence that shows their own cult leader to be a lying narcissistic shitshead
