Would there have been any advantage for Germany pushing for Jewish migration to what was a British colony then?
So after the war got under way what happened then oldie?
What was it that Germany chose to do with these people they then deemed to be non citizens.
My point was that if they are going to cleanse their country then where are their rejects going to go!
Germany could not freely ship people to Palestine once the war started because that would have been more difficult. (Rock and a hard place I presume!)
It was you who raised the German comparison in your post - maybe that's why the camps started to fill up!

Cleanse is an interesting choice of words Oldie, difficult would be being at war with Russia And the British allies at the same time.
But the logistics can't have been that big of an issue They seemed to be able to organise transport for all those people they did not want anyway.
I raised the rather obvious comparison as it was interesting Mashy would raise their plight as being an issue.

Cleaning was the word used in the DR article - the derivative "cleanse" was used to stay on track with that theme. (Ethnic cleansing seems a popular term today)
True about the train loads of refugees displaced and desperate multinational civilian people being moved among the German occupied territories but not by ships at sea!
It makes you wonder how they could have fed all of those people considering the logistics of even feeding their own troops and civilians.

No it doesn't. As for the feeding they managed to feed themselves and all their people before the war without much issue.
They certainly never bothered to ask the red cross for help or even let them have access to the concentration camps if they were at all concerned.
As fir them being refugees they were not refugees they were taken into cusdudy or displaced by there own countries or by the captors of there own countries
I sincerely doubt that the Nazis considered feeding them as being a long term issue at all did they, or do you think they actually did?
As for the trains the Nazi's probably got outstanding gas millage too.
What you are inferring is a cop out oldie. I know that you do know better than to make any feeble excuses for what occurred.

I was actually thinking of and referring to all those people that followed them (German troops) retreating from the Eastern front!
The Russians (Soviets) were not very considerate especially to any of their own - Stalin was the worst cunt that ever inhabited this earth!

I am not sure anyone consider Stalin to be much of a wonderful example of humanity.
Nor Russians either, for the treatment the Russians received from the Germans or from there own people or what they dealt out afterwards to who they targeted afterwards as being the same.
It maters not to me what uniform perpetrators of racial hate crimes were wearing, As I doubt it matters to you that the Russians fabricated the protocols of Zion either.
It does still not in anyway mitigate the treatment that the Germans done to a wide range of ethnicities they deemed to be unworthy, now or then does it.

I did not write the protocols of Zion and I don't know who did - I had a copy given to me (as a teenager) way back in the 1950's - don't know where it went!
I dismissed it at the time but to be honest there is much about life since that makes me wonder if it was not genuine - but moving on and away from that!
Of the leadership of the day (Stalin Churchill Roosevelt Hitler) it's questionable about who was the most honest or worthy among them!
It is difficult in the haze of opinion and fact to mitigate the treatment any of them did to innocent victims of their excesses in their time!
If each of them were to publicly face their accusers today perhaps it would be judged that they were all as bad as each other!

I disagree - Spain has made some good gains - its not leaving the EU anytime soon. Spain GDP/government debt is now at 93.9% (more or less the same as France) vs Greece 175%. Unemployment in Spain is still high at 23% but it is dropping. By no means are things "great" but they aren´t Greece/EU split-tingly bad.
Thats why there is all this fuss over greece
If it goes and it will
Spain and portugal may follow and that will be a big mess

Only someone with minimal experience in the tender/quote process would consider that observation inaccurate. Only a fuckwit with no financial clues whatsoever would venture to call it stupid.
Where did I say it was inaccurate? See, before quote comes due diligence. Relying on price as your almost always starter for 10 is stupid fuck.

Gets better too if you don't use the financial metric the stupid worlders are so caught up on (ironically) too.
"The most striking finding in the latest Treasury work is that inequality in consumption is lower than it was before the reforms of the 1980s. While salary-based measures of income inequality have not declined as dramatically, a lot of work ignore the fact that the tax and transfer system already works to equalise incomes," Crampton said.

No, it's because you've got nothing else other than relying on the creation of misunderstandings simply so you can insult others.
The great irony with your post is your (perhaps deliberate) misASSumption about a penis gag and subsequent attempt to insult me based on that 'misunderstanding'. The word impotent was used because you are unable to take effective action (the exact context in which I has earlier been using, and the 1st definition in oxford) due to your inability to communicate; it is obvious to anyone with the basic grasp on language that is what I meant due to the earlier context supplied.
But no doubt you'll have some cop-out prepared to avoid the shock horror of ever admitting a mistake

It's not a bogyman document, it's a treasury report. And I see you can still agree that it's true but then go right ahead and disagree with it anyway.
As for your reference, the use of "households below 60% median income" is a "bullshit in" unit, invented by socialist entities like the UN in a tragic attempt to manipulate public opinion. You could double the income of every household in the country and not change that unit a jot. Note that the rest of the data presented there agrees exactly with the report I posted.
So your anti "neoliberal policy" rant is well off the mark. Again.

Meanwhile the jewish media is into overtime on the greek issue , trying for a Yes vote ....
Blah de Blah de Blah ........Snip
If voters back a bailout plan the government has scorned, Tsipras and Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis have said they would quit. That would lead to a scramble to either try to put together a national unity government to negotiate a loan deal or call new elections by September.
Already, Tsipras' coalition is under strain as a succession of deputies from the right-wing Independent Greeks, his junior partners, have backed the 'Yes' vote.
Varoufakis, who alienated many euro zone colleagues with his economic lectures and outspoken style, said the IMF's report vindicated Greece's demands to put debt relief at the centre of the negotiations.
"It is music to our ears because what we have been saying right from the beginning is that the great, big reason why we have a huge crisis here in Greece is because our debt is unsustainable," he told Irish radio.

THEN the lending started , as it always does with the IMF ....( in order to inflate the assets before transfer ) .and with any lending its ALSO up to the lender to make sure the borrower can pay it back

http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/jul/10/denmark-wind-windfarm-power-exceed-electricity-demand
On an unusually windy day, Denmark found itself producing 116% of its national electricity needs from wind turbines yesterday evening. By 3am on Friday, when electricity demand dropped, that figure had risen to 140%.
Interconnectors allowed 80% of the power surplus to be shared equally between Germany and Norway, which can store it in hydropower systems for use later. Sweden took the remaining fifth of excess power.
“It shows that a world powered 100% by renewable energy is no fantasy,” said Oliver Joy, a spokesman for trade body the European Wind Energy Association. “Wind energy and renewables can be a solution to decarbonisation – and also security of supply at times of high demand.”

On a windy day in the middle of summer at the time of least demand they had a surplus of windpower. Bravo! What happens on a still day in winter?

It seems crazy to just keep pushing Greece further into debt. They have to give the Greeks something to work towards - if they aren´t careful they will end up with a civil war. Best thing for Greece would be to ditch the Euro but stay in the EU - I don´t think anyone is going to let them do that. Surely the German government can remember what happens when you cripple an economy with an un-payable debt?

A lesson in economics:
Explanation of the Greek Bailout.
It is a slow day in a little Greek Village. The rain is beating down and the streets are deserted.
Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.
On this particular day a rich German tourist is driving through the Village, stops at the local hotel
and lays a €100 note on the desk, telling the hotel owner he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in
order to pick one to spend the night.
The owner gives him some keys and, as soon as the visitor has walked upstairs, the hotelier grabs the
€100 note and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher.
The butcher takes the €100 note and runs down the street to repay his debt to the pig farmer.
The pig farmer takes the €100 note and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel.
The guy at the Farmers' Co-op takes the €100 note and runs to pay his drinks bill at the taverna.
The publican slips the money along to the local prostitute drinking at the bar,
who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer him "services" on credit.
The hooker then rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill to the hotel owner with the €100 note.
The hotel proprietor then places the €100 note back on the counter so the rich German traveler will not suspect anything.
At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, picks up the €100 note,
he states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town.
"No one produced anything", "No one earned anything".
However, the whole village is now out of debt and looking to the future with a lot more optimism.
And that is how the bailout package works!

That is what you transactional banking ..... the above would work fine ... and is what some people have been saying ,
But as oldrider points out, some old Babylonian trick was copied , and if applied to the above , by the time the jerman arrived back he would have had only 41 Euro to give back to de jerman ( greeces long term interest rate is around 12 % )
So the Island needs some QE and some asset sales to occur then Greece would be debt free to the bank and minus 59 Euros worth of assets
May the shwartz be with you

Poor old OTTO
Throughout his reign, Otto was unable to resolve Greece's poverty and economic meddling from outside powers. The politics of Greece of this era was based on affiliations with the three Great Powers, and Otto's ability to maintain the support of the powers was key to his remaining in power. To remain strong, Otto had to play the interests of each of the Great Powers' Greek adherents against the others, while not aggravating the Great Powers. When Greece was blockaded by the (British) Royal Navy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Navy) in 1850 and again in 1854, to stop Greece from attacking the Ottoman Empire (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Empire) during the Crimean War (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_War),
I wonder WHO financed old otto !! Capt Red shield to the rescue !

Almost unnoticed, in the niches and hollows of the market system, whole swaths of economic life are beginning to move to a different rhythm. Parallel currencies, time banks, cooperatives and self-managed spaces have proliferated, barely noticed by the economics profession, and often as a direct result of the shattering of the old structures in the post-2008 crisis.
You only find this new economy if you look hard for it. In Greece, when a grassroots NGO mapped the country’s food co-ops, alternative producers, parallel currencies and local exchange systems they found more than 70 substantive projects and hundreds of smaller initiatives ranging from squats to carpools to free kindergartens. To mainstream economics such things seem barely to qualify as economic activity – but that’s the point. They exist because they trade, however haltingly and inefficiently, in the currency of postcapitalism: free time, networked activity and free stuff. It seems a meagre and unofficial and even dangerous thing from which to craft an entire alternative to a global system, but so did money and credit in the age of Edward III.
